I love small town romances. I also love when good small town romance book is not just feel-good and steamy, but packs a good emotional punch. And this book did just that. I loved the connection between the two main characters and how natural it felt. Beyond that, I loved what this book represented about finding yourself and what truly matters

3/5 ⭐️
I have to say, this wasn’t my favourite. I went into with high hopes and it just didn’t hit the spot. I know that I struggled with it because it had too much description. There were so many long descriptions and it made me lose interest. There were definitely moments that were cute and that I enjoyed but overall I just couldn’t connect with it.

Tarah Dewitt will always be an insta buy author for me. I always connect with her characters. She writes the most beautiful heartfelt romances

This was a fun small town romance with opposites attract and friends with benefits. I found myself laughing out loud many times! I enjoyed the slow but spicy burn, the hot chef and the foodie vibes!

This book explores themes of grief, healing, self-discovery, burnout, and the complexities of relationships, touching on both family dynamics and love. While I appreciated the underlying messages and enjoyed the overall premise, I struggled to connect deeply with the characters or the story. The plot, which revolves around a festival, competition, and a slow-developing romance, felt repetitive, and the emotional depth I was hoping for was lacking. Although the book featured excellent communication between the leads, which helped avoid misunderstandings, the romantic connection didn’t quite resonate with me.
That said, the novel does offer a valuable lesson on savoring the present, appreciating life's small moments, and embracing change. While some elements fell short of their potential, I still found the book enjoyable overall, with its heartwarming lessons and some sweet scenes. It may not have been a perfect read for me, but it could certainly resonate differently with others.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the e-arc of Savor It by Tarah DeWitt.
This is a steamy, small-town contemporary romance set in fictional town of Spunes, Oregon. The story focuses on Sage and Fisher. Sage is working through a breakup and trying to rediscover herself, while Fisher, a famous chef, stumbles into town in search of focus after the devastating loss of his sister and the responsibility of raising his teenage niece. They form an unlikely alliance after a rocky first meeting.
I absolutely loved this book. The town and its people felt so real and welcoming. Sage and Fisher are both lovable characters with distinct personalities. The supporting cast—Sage’s family, the townsfolk, and especially her animals—creates a cozy, whimsical setting that you’ll wish existed in real life. I’m hoping for more books in the Spunes, Oregon universe.
I highly recommend this to fans of interconnected romance series and anyone who enjoys Tarah DeWitt’s other books!

This was my first Tarah Dewitt and I enjoyed her writing so so much! This was such a swoony, funny, heartwarming romance. I adored Fisher and Sage and the whole crew of side characters (and animals!) Savor it was such a well written romance that really wove grief and loss through the story so well. 4.5 stars, I’m really looking forward to reading more from Dewitt!
Side note: the audiobook was excellent as well!

So so good! such a swoony romance perfect for anyone who loves romance novels. LOVEED THEM TOGETHER.......

It's such a shame when one of your most predictable best reads turns out to be… well, I finished it, so that's something.
I have nothing against Sage nor Fisher, and the tropes are all there too - small-town romance with a fake-dating situation, the male character with a minor in his custody, a golden town girl who's sick of not being rightfully understood, even a competition to put the two closer and closer.
But it didn't make me feel anything.
Who's to blame? Probably me, but there's also something that bothered me since the beginning: it's not an easy narration. Information after information gets thrown at us with little knowledge of what's going on and even less explanation, and more times than not we have to read about people we don't know and don't really care.
The pace also feels unbalanced because these two had some of the deeper conversations in a couple of days - all because she decided to make him her little “project” -, more like a love at first sight than a slow burn.
At the end of the day, I was and still am more into Wren and Ellis’s relationship and how they're gonna fix it - because they have to, I'm rooting for them! - than anything else.
Thanks to St. Martin’s Press, St. Martin’s Griffin and NetGalley, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

Tarah DeWitt, one of my favorite authors in the world, has done it again! I love love loved this book and would recommend it to everyone. One of my current favorite book vibes is ~food books~, so this was perfect!

Forgot to send my feedback months ago, but this was so fun! I love Tarah DeWitt's writing style a lot. The way she writes her characters are perfect!

I enjoyed this book! The plot was straight forward and cute, I enjoyed the characters and I really like the relationship between Fisher and his niece. The romance and spice was good.

As a fantasy reader I find myself needed a break so I love a good romance book. This was great! I fell quickly for the character and the charm of the farm!
I enjoy this the big city meets small town romance. It’s an easy read for this reader. I just got to fall into the pages and watch the story unfold with out having to deal with heavy world building. I am excited to add another book from this author to my TBR.

DeWitt's writing shines with its lush descriptions of food—each dessert feels almost tangible, making the book a treat for the senses. The romance is sweet and slow-burn, with well-drawn chemistry between Claire and Noah. What sets Savor It apart is its focus on personal growth: Claire learns to balance her ambition with her personal life, and the supporting characters, from quirky colleagues to a tight-knit community, add depth to the story. Though the pacing occasionally lags in the middle, the emotional payoff is worth it. Savor It is a warm, comforting read that will appeal to fans of character-driven romance with a touch of culinary charm. I will continue to be a DeWitt fan.

3.5 rounded up.
I had a lot of fun with this book. Tarah DeWitt always writes winners for me. I devoured this book in a couple days and now I'm anxiously waiting for her next novel. This wasn't my favourite of hers as I didn't love Sage initially, but she did grow on me. Fisher though? He was amazing. And the single dad trope gets me every time.

Hands down one of my favourite books of all time. Tarah DeWitt has always been a favourite author of mine, the way she writes such relatable heartfelt and real characters has always spoken to me. The humour she infuses in her books never fails to make me laugh and her love stories, families and friendships always burn themselves onto my heart. Sage & Fisher were no different. I loved them both individually and together. Seeing them work together to heal themselves was heartwarming and the inclusion of seeing Indy’s relationship with Fisher flourish was the cherry on top. The characters, in particular the entire Byrd family, are ones I’ll keep with me forever. Spunes is a place I never want to leave and I cannot wait to come home and see Wren & Ellis find their way back to each other.

Sage is possibly my very favorite character from any book ever.
This whole book means so much to me and I am so grateful that I get to experience Tarah DeWitt's stories. It's 1:30am and I am tired and emotional, but so full of love and ready for everything that comes next, whether it's more from Spunes (I hope so) or anything else Tarah is willing to give.

Thank you for this ARC. Unfortunately, I've lost interest in this premise. I think it will do more harm if I read and do a review at this point. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Another great read from Tarah DeWitt. The story was cute, the characters were compelling, and the romance was sweet. Can't wait to read her future works.
