I HAVE A NEWFOUND LOVE FOR HOT CITY CHEFS😭😭😭😭 this really hit the spot. tarah dewitt you’ve earned your place on my shelves thank you🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

Savor It is an absolute delight! This charming, small-town romcom brings Sage and Fisher together for a summer filled with healing, quirky town traditions, and some serious chemistry. Sage, a lifelong Spunes resident with a passion for her hobby farm, finds herself in need of a fresh start after a rough breakup. Enter Fisher, a chef from New York who’s healing from his own heartbreak and is now tasked with looking after his spirited teenage niece, Indy. Their pact to team up for the annual town competition and smooth over Fisher's prickly introduction to the locals leads to moments that are funny, steamy, and surprisingly tender.
The relationship between Sage and Fisher is built on mutual support, and it’s refreshing to see them openly communicate through the ups and downs of their own struggles. Sage's quirky charm and deep connection to her hometown offer Fisher a soft place to land, while Fisher’s quiet strength and the chemistry he shares with Sage keep the story lively and engaging. DeWitt beautifully weaves in themes of grief and renewal, and the gentle guidance Sage offers Fisher and Indy adds such a heartwarming touch.
Spunes, with its colorful cast of townspeople and cozy setting, really shines. The Festival of Spunes adds to the atmosphere, making you wish you could stroll through town, bump into Sage’s hilarious brothers, and grab ice cream on Main Street. This story is perfect for anyone who loves a small-town romance with spice, laughs, and all the Big Feelings.

My thoughts: 2.5 stars; 2🌶️
Fake dating, friends to lovers, slow burn…i was lured in by these trope promises and the premise was interesting, but the actual story was very bland. What was Sage’s actual job? All the characters were one dimensional - it kept going in different directions, but also boring at the same time. I see where the author was trying to go with it and I hoped it was just a nice quick read, but I didn’t like this one.

Such a warm and fun book. I loved traveling to the world of Spoons, Oregon (not to be mistaken for Forks, Washington). Sage and Fisher were both such well-written characters that I was obsessed with from the beginning. I cannot wait to continue this series in the future.

I absolutely loved this book! It was so adorable and had all my favorite tropes. The setting was amazing as well!

Tarah’s book take me apart just to put me back together in the end. My heart broke wide open for Fisher, Sage and Indy, seeing their grief and their own unique journeys of how they handle it and how they chose to show up for each other!! I was unwell to say less! Also the towns feeling of this had me hooked, as someone who loved schitts creek I adored the idea of a town where you have caring but sometimes intrusive townies, a place where fisher and Indy could find peace and happiness. This was happy, sad, sexy, tender, you know it, Tarah in fact did it.

This was absolutely the most fun read, and I devoured it right up.
Living in the small coastal town of Oregon all of her life, Sage Byrd is ready for a change when her long-term relationship suddenly ends. With plenty of spice, and all the chemistry, I loved the interactions between Sage and Fisher, who pair up in the annual Festival of Spunes.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-small town romance
-fake dating
-emotional
-warm and cozy slow burn
The audiobook format was great, and it was performed by duo Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber.

What a romantic, small-town novel. The atmosphere is perfectly cozy. Sage and Fischer’s story unfolds into a love story filled with humor and emotional moments. I really felt for Sage and Fischer as they dealt with their respective challenges. I loved the community. While quirky, it had all the makings of town you’d like to stay a little longer in.

This is a book I finished back in September and totally forgot to write a review for it, and I sadly don’t remember too much right now. But I now that I really enjoyed and finished in just about a day.
The hero and his sister really toyed with my heart strings and I loved seeing the hero realize how much his sister actually needed him

Romance books own my heart and soul. I love the meet cutes. I love the anticipation of the first touch or kiss. I love the passion and desire. Lots of romance books do that well and are perfectly enjoyable reads; however, it takes a special romance book to engage my feelings. To make me root for the characters so much that I cry when they struggle. To have me so emotionally invested, that I cry when they succeed. Savor It is one such special book.
How does Savor It do this? By giving the characters realistic backstories that form who they are. By allowing the characters to be vulnerable with one another in organic ways. This book had me questioning if I should be having more heart-to-hearts with friends and family. I loved the small town environment and the charm of Sage and her farm.
This book was just so incredibly special. It moved at an appropriate pace with both plot and emotional beats. I thought the composition was well rounded. I was never bored or confused about where the story was going.
Ultimately, this is a small town romance about two people who find understanding and home in one another. I want a love like this.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

this was such a cute book I adored everything about it! the main characters I just want to give them a giant hug I’m so serious! loved seeing their story play out and be along for the journey highly recommend!

In Savor It, Tarah DeWitt gives us a cozy, heartwarming story about Sylvie, a chef returning to her hometown, and Wyatt, a rugged, grumpy farmer who’s tough to crack. Their chemistry is magnetic—slow-burn, laced with humor and emotional depth. DeWitt’s writing makes small-town life come alive, with quirky side characters and rich, sensory descriptions that make Sylvie’s world feel so real. If you’re a fan of patient, feel-good romances that simmer and satisfy, this one’s worth a read!

I enjoyed the small town setting, the animals, the humor, the angsty teen, and the journal 🥹 Sage and Fisher had really great tension and chemistry, and I loved how they both went through their own character development apart and together. It was a very healing story!

4.5/5 Stars
Thank you to St Martin’s Press and Macmillan Audio for providing me with an arc and ALC.
I didn’t know what to really expect going into this as I hadn’t read anything from Tarah DeWitt before this but I absolutely ate this book up. It was just a fun read and I loved the small town vibes plus both of the characters learning more of who they are after major life changes. The Spice was great and the romance was adorable. I can’t put this one down and it was the perfect audiobook listen for what I wanted.
Sage has lived in Spunes, Oregon her whole life and she has come to love her small town, misfit animals, and the people in it. But when her ex suddenly ends their 5 year relationship and ends up getting engaged fast, she needs a way to convince those around her she is okay and what better way than to find a partner of her own? Fisher is now responsible for his niece after his sister suddenly passes away and he wasn’t prepared to be parenting a teenager. So when he loses his michelin star, his boss banishes him to Spunes to find himself and consult on a new restaurant. But small towns don’t like when outsides come to “fix up” things so he needs a way to improve his standing in the community. What better way than to make a deal with a beautiful woman like Sage to help each other out… which eventually may lead to feelings neither is prepared for.
Sage is known for taking in misfits whether it is a disabled animal or now a man who has lost his way after horrible events. She needs a partner for a competition but also needs a way to get everyone to stop pitying her for her Ex leaving her and finding someone else so fast. Fisher’s whole world has been turned up side down repeatedly so when someone reaches out a helping hand he has to take it to stop drowning in everything. Both of them are learning who they are after big events and I loved how Sage was with Fisher’s niece.
I really do recommend this one if you want a fun fast paced summer read. The narrators were great and kept me engaged the entire time which is rare.

I LOOOOOOVED this book!
It’s such a hallmark movie. Big time chef from NYC loses his sister in an accident, and it causes his life to completely fall apart. With his niece now in his care, and fired from his job, he’s sent to a small town to help with a new restaurant and get his life back.
Of course there is a quirkily beautiful woman who wears eccentric robes and owns a bunch of random animals and loves to garden who lives across the meadow and is able to magically help him connect with his niece.
It’s wildly predictable but SO COZY, and you just fall in love with the characters and the small town and all the things you’re expecting to happen. It’s well written and adorable and such a feel good read.
If you love rom-coms and cooking and fancy food and Hallmark movies, you’ll love this book.
Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Such a cute & funny small-town romance. If you like Ali Hazelwood, you'll also really like Tarah DeWitt. Even though romance isn't my usual reading taste, I enjoyed this realistic romance set in the Pacific Northwest.

This was such a cute romance. I hadn't read any Tarah DeWitt before so I was excited to try. I think I picked this book based on the colors on the cover and then was interested in the storyline. Looking forward to what Tarah writes next.

This was a perfect small-town romance; complete with meddling townspeople, town-wide meetings, and adorable animals. The characters felt very fleshed out and real, and it was easy to empathize with the things going on in their lives. If I could, I would move to Spunes immediately!

This was my first book by Tarah Dewitt but it will not be my last. I absolutely breezed through this book. I loved the interactions between all the characters and the scenes with Sage's animals!
Thank you to netgalley for the arc!

I thoroughly enjoyed this small-town romance set on the cliffs of the PNW. Sage and Fisher are immediately attracted but with an impending "summers-end" timeline they try to keep it casual. Sage's sweetness and band of misfit animals are impossible to not fall for and Fisher's broken but beautiful heart calls to her need to help. They collide as two separate, lonely, shooting stars and burn brighter and stronger together. I love found family and knowing a group of people so well that you never truly have to go through things alone. Spunes is community full of characters that will resonate with readers. I'd love to read a second-chance romance with Ellis and Wren! It was hard to not hope for their reconciliation when you can see the history and heart there. There's promise for a next-gen offshoot as well with Indy and Sam, if the author wanted to extend the fictional town of Spunes into new stories (which I would absolutely read)!
