Beautiful slow burn by Tarah Dewitt. Sage and Fisher are neighbors and Fisher is raising his niece. It takes a while to get to the romance, but it was beautifully written.

Savor It is a wholesome rom-com that hits all the right notes. It's fun and flirty with lots of moments that leave you chuckling. Having never read anything by this author, I was pleasantly surprised by the more spicier content which was enjoyable because Sage and Fisher's chemistry is believable. I was a little frustrated with the back and forth between them though. Trying to decide whether to see each other or not felt a little repetitive. I also would have liked a little more chef talk from Fisher since he is finding his way back to what he loves.
But overall this was an enjoyable read and I hope to read more from Ms. DeWitt.

Thanks for NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review this book.

I really adored Sage & Fisher!! Their love was so soft and beautiful. The farm animals, Fisher’s niece, the nosy town, the banter!! I loved it.

Beautifully written, messy, imperfectly perfect, heartwarming!
I loved this story. The writing was wonderful and had a unique story. I wasn't positive I would be in to a disgraced chef romance but THIS WORKED. All characters were well thought out, had depth and I loved the way the author intermingled their stories together. This would be a great women's book club read! I won't give away any spoilers but you will be shaking your head, laughing, crying and saying ahh throughout the book.

Also - what a cute cover!!!!

OMG I loved this book. This was me second book by this author and she is definitely becoming an auto-buy author for sure. I love the way parental loss was handled and was so happy to see Fisher and his niece really find their footing together. The relationship between between Fisher and Sage was perfect and the spice had me blushing a few times. I loved that there was no miscommunication and the third act breakup made sense vs being frustrating to read and as the reader, you just knew they needed more time but would find their ways back to each other. Cannot wait for the next book!

I ended up choosing the audio for this one and I really enjoyed the narrator. I gave the story 3 stars overall.

Really cute story with a lot of great tropes:
- small town romance
- FMC who grew up in small town falls in love with out-of-towner MMC
- FMC owns a small farm and hoards a bunch of adorable animals
- Single dad/guardian vibes
- MMC is a chef
- a lot of found family vibes
Truly enjoyed this one and the cover is so cute!

Very fun read with necessary (but heartbreaking) elements. The book kept me turning the page long after I was supposed to be asleep. I loved the dynamic of the couple and the niece (and of course loved Sable!). Tarah DeWitt knows how to tell a love story that sticks with you.

“It’s been a privilege to fall in love with you, Sage.”

UGH the emotion, the tension, the banter, the spice. Everything I could want in a summer read and I am SO INVESTED in the rest of the Byrd siblings. GIVE ME ELLIS AND WREN NOW.

Actual Rating: 3.5 — This was overall a fun and enjoyable romance book! It gave summer vibes and all these looks into adulthood and the rough patches that sometimes occur. I loved all the animals Sage had and the relationship one of them had with Indy was so funny and sweet! I like how we see a friendship grow first between Sage and Fisher first and how they help each other out in ways before it develops into more. I do feel like the romance fell a bit short at times and wish we got more of it. I liked the dual POV as always! I also really enjoyed seeing the bond between Fisher and Indy grow and how they found their grove together. We didn’t get too much dialogue with Sage’s brothers or of Fisher as a chef and working on his career post incident, both of which I would’ve liked. There wasn’t really anything that was super special or stood out to me from other romance books but I would recommend as a good and fun romance with enjoyable characters!

This book was definitely entertaining and that was it. I loved the vibes that came with reading this book. All the romance, fall tones, little banter. The one thing I didn’t like was that the MMC is a chef but I barely see him doing things related to that.

“It has been a privilege loving you, Sage”

Review:
Wow! I had so much fun with this book. The characters are so realistic and their traumas and problems in the book are written so beautifully and it makes the reading journey that much better. The dynamic between Sage and Fisher, and Fisher and Indy were some of my favorite in a book. Fisher is the guardian to Indy and the representation and depiction of Indy was so well done. Indy has been through so much as a teen, and the emotions and reactions were that of someone who is struggling and it’s infuriating at some points but that’s life. Indy’s growth through the book is one of my favorites in all books i’ve read. Sage & Fisher are a dream and I enjoyed every scene of them falling more and more for each other and all of their quirks. They’re such generous characters and it’s so easy to love them. I highly recommend reading this one and loving Sage & Fisher just as much as I do!

Savor It is a heartwarming story that delivers all the cozy, small-town vibes you could hope for without feeling contrived. Set in a charming and authentic rural setting, the book pulls you in with its inviting atmosphere and keeps you hooked with strong character dynamics.

The grumpy/sunshine relationship between the main characters is a particular highlight, adding a delightful tension to the story as their contrasting personalities clash and complement each other in equal measure. Watching their relationship develop is a real treat, and DeWitt skillfully avoids the clichés that often plague romance novels, keeping the writing fresh and far from cheesy.

The chemistry between the characters feels genuine, making it easy to invest in their journey. DeWitt strikes a perfect balance between heartwarming moments and witty banter, creating a romance that is both fun and emotionally satisfying.

An amazing summer romance worth savoring.

✨ Book Review: SAVOR IT by Tarah DeWitt ✨

New favorite author alert! This book is so charming and so good and I’m frustrated with myself that it took me so long to read it.

SAVOR IT is a sexy small town romance as well as a reminder to be brave, appreciate the people around us, and to savor life. Sage Byrd is a local helping Fisher Lange adapt to the small town of Spoons, Oregon for the summer while he and his niece are there for his work. All three have so much depth and are working to heal from past griefs while embracing the life in front of them. The audiobook is wonderfully read by Karissa Vacker and Zachary Webber, both of whom add an extra layer of vulnerability and relatability to Sage and Fisher’s story. So good!

Read SAVOR IT for

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars)

I liked this just fine! I liked the characters and the story and everything but maybe it was the writing I didn’t love. This is my second book by this author and I feel like her books are just fine to me.

Sage was the it girl! She was known, she was there and just wanted a win. From hearing her story to giving back, she needed more.
After being dumped by her ex Ian she wanted to prove to him and others that she doesn't need the pity everyone is giving her. Festival of Spunes is the perfect example of how she'll show everyone she's fine!

Fisher, hotshot chef in NYC felt numb after losing his sister. Now with having to take care of himself, and his mental capacity, he now has an added bonus of taking care of Indy, his teenage niece.
Sage was very easy going and Fisher felt very stiff at times. Their relationship was fun and made me giggle! Indy was a perfect added character bonus but the plot was very scattered. My first Tarah Dewitt book and i loved everything about the characters and chemistry but i needed more from the plot.
I wanted to love this more because the writing was beautiful but I think I needed more from the plot and the characters.

Sage is such a fun main character, I loved how fully herself she was - growth areas and all. I appreciated how her authenticity helped Fisher realize some things about himself. I would definitely read books with her brothers as the main characters.

This was such a lovely and cute romantic read. I enjoyed the main characters meet cute, chemistry and journey in growth and love. I also enjoyed the relationship of the main male character and his niece and all the dynamics it brought to the story. Lastly, all the cute and quirky animals who made appearances in this read- almost too cute for words!
