I started this book, put it down and then completely forgot about it. I picked it up again and totally fell in love. I love nothing more than a sweet, small-town romance where the two main characters can have honest conversations with each other. The conflict was reasonable and not overly dramatic. The character were lovable and fun — and the puns had me laughing the whole time. Sage and Fisher are people that I would love to be friends with.

Savor It by Tarah DeWitt is a sexy, small-town romance that will make you dream of long, summer days, late nights with the ones you love, and good food always within reach.
Just when Fisher feels like he’s hit rock bottom - fired from his job on the heels of losing a Michelin star, and struggling to connect with the niece now in his care - he gets one more chance to turn things around: spend the summer overseeing the construction and menu of a new restaurant in Spunes, Oregon. But being an outsider in small-town Spunes is harder than he thought. At least, until he meets Sage. Sparks fly, but it’s the convenient ways they can help each other that makes this a summer neither of them will forget. But summer doesn’t last forever, and Fisher and Sage will either have to find a way to make it work, or savor it while they can….
Everything about this book was just cozy. The characters were really well written and, as someone who grew up in a small town, just felt familiar. Spunes had just enough charm to be quintessential PNW, but was easy to imagine as any Small Town, USA. DeWitt did a fantastic job at building the scene; it was easy to imagine all the attractions Spunes had to offer, from the library and diner to Sage’s animals and flowerbeds.
I loved the dynamic between Sage and Fisher. It wasn’t just small town girl and big city guy vibes, either. They definitely had some obstacles when it came to the lifestyle they were accustomed to, but these two were so much more. As someone who never felt like a winner, Sage paired so well with Fisher. His journey was a humbling one; no longer in charge of a Michelin-star kitchen and just a suspicious outsider to the small town folk in Oregon, Fisher had to find his place both in his new surroundings as well as in his new life trajectory. Both Fisher and Sage made each other feel seen, and they just worked so well together in the story and on paper.
Savor It was a soft, cozy read to fall into, full of great, dynamic characters and a setting you can’t help but wish was real. I loved Sage and Fisher’s romance; it was full of life and learning and adventure (and a little misadventure). This is one romance you will want to savor, but will find it hard to put down.

Savor It was so cute and endearing. The characters were incredibly likable and their story touching. I liked Fisher, Sage and Fisher's daughter. It was fun to watch them all grow and change due to the influences they have on each other and natural growth.
This book is a fun read and I recommend it.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.

This book just became one of my favorite books of all time. This story is just absolutely incredible and I will be shouting my love for it from the rooftops for as long as I live.
This book made me laugh, cry, smile and giggle like an idiot, and feel an incredible amount of other emotions. It was both a gut punch and the most comforting hug in the world. Tarah makes it so you can’t help but fall in love with this small town and all of these characters. Sage and Fisher are one of my new favorite couples of all time. And the little hints Tarah was dropping about future book couples make me swoon like crazy. I would read 100 books written by Tarah in this wonderful small town with these characters.
This book has been overwhelming my brain ever since I finished it and I truly can’t stop thinking about. It’s one of the most beautiful and heartfelt books I’ve ever read and I can’t wait to reread Sage and Fisher’s story over and over and over again.
*Thank you Tarah DeWitt and St. Martin’s Press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book. I loved the small town cozy feel and the nature of Oregon. The slow burn was good but I feel that the relationship lacked a bit of depth, I am usually overly critical with romance books though. I would like to check out more of Tarah's books in the future!!

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year but am sad to say that I was disappointed.
I tried so hard to love it but I couldn't. The small town lacked charm and seemed stale, the chemistry was non existent, and the premise was bland.

This is the absolute perfect book for the summer! When Fisher loses his Michelin star, along with his love of cooking, his boss sends him to Spunes, Oregon to consult on a restaurant opining. He heads there with his niece, who he is responsible for, after the death of his sister. Once there, the two encounter Sage and none of them will ever be the same.
This one is filled with so much small town fun, along with fake dating that turns into a wonderful friendship. Sage and Fisher were just so dang good together. The chemistry and banter were top notch. The things Fisher says to Sage..my gosh! There are so many tender moments and some heartbreak, but there is also self realization, character building, healing, and some fabulous swoon and spice! I laughed and I cried and I loved every single second of it.

Honestly, the cover is what initially sold this book for me, it is just absolutely gorgeous! Recently I have heard a few of my friends talking about how much they love Tarah DeWitt's books so those two together meant I needed to read this immediately. This was such an incredible novel with an inside as pretty as its outside, and amazing writing to support the story and characters at the center. My heart aches thinking about this book and how much I adored it. I cannot wait to read more from DeWitt in the future.

A cozy slow burn with solid character development.
Sage and Fisher have both gone through deep grief - both processing on 2 ends of the spectrum (deep sadness and chaos that leads to an angry outburst at his job vs optimistic outlook that allows her to keep things moving). When life brings them together in the middle of the night, I was SURE the story would also have a meet-cute plot (it was lowkey not cute at all haha), but it worked as a great intro to Sage and her brothers.
Overall a great read and I definitely recommend!

This was a cute book! It had the signature Tarah DeWitt charm and banter and a fun guest feature from a past book.

I have enjoyed the other books I've read by this author, with Funny Feelings being a favorite. I really love how she blends swoony romance with some harder life emotions like grief and loneliness. I can always count on her to deliver a bingeworthy romance that hits me in my feels.

Favorite quote from the book: “I remind myself that it’s absurd, that life is not a meritocracy. Just because you do everything right, even if you know you deserve it, doesn’t mean that it will all be perfect in the end. Just because you accomplish a dream doesn’t mean it’ll make you happy forever. Sometimes wonderful people get sick, and sometimes people who were terrible to you have everything go according to plan. It really is what you do with it, what you take with you when you go to bed at night that counts.”

I had a good time, but I didn't connect with the characters as much as in Tarah Dewitt's other books. It felt like there was so much going on we didn't get enough of them, and I loved them and wanted more.

I loved this book! It was my first Tara DeWitt book and it did not disappoint! I cannot wait to see what she does next.

Yay a book in my state of Oregon! Although this is placed in a much smaller fictional small-town than my own city, but still fun as it highlights all the nature Oregon has to offer. 😁
Now as for the romance, it's like a little reverse of the hotshot lawyer meets her small town hunk, because in this book our female lead is the townie and our male lead is a former hotshot chef. And me personally? I would rather have a chef. Ugh a hot man to make me food? Literally nothing better.
The swooniness of this book, the way Fisher has to restrain himself with Sage, and how they both care for his niece whose having a such a tough time as a teen had me sobbing several times. I loved every minute of this book, especially the ending.
Highly highly recommend to anyone who wants a slow burn, spicy, found-family romance!

"Savor It" by Tarah Dewitt is an absolute delight! 🌞🏖️ This cute rom-com is the perfect companion for a beach day. From the very first page, I was hooked by the charming storyline & relatable characters. The book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster, exploring themes of love, loss, grief, & healing, all while maintaining a light-hearted & humorous tone.
The characters were well-developed, each with their own unique quirks & depth that made them feel real & engaging. The story had a strong start that drew me in immediately, & while it slowed a bit in the middle, it picked up the pace & finished with a satisfying conclusion.
This was my first read by Tarah Dewitt, & it certainly won't be my last! I’m looking forward to diving into more of her work. 📚💕

3.5 Stars rounded up to 4 because I love Tarah!
This was such a sweet story. I especially loved Sage's character. She was very relatable and I was so happy when she got to experience something new and very much her own with Fisher. Fisher was such a vulnerable character. Learning about his family history made you understand why he put so much pressure on himself to raise his niece properly. The small town setting was so fun, especially with all the characters; it had all the charm and nosiness you expect in a small town book, especially all the lead up to the festival.
I have read everything Tarah DeWitt has written, and I love her mix of romance, swoon, and laugh out loud comedy. She has created great characters with great backstories and plot lines, however, I felt that Savor It felt short of my expectations. This book was hyped so much, which I should also just take as a sign. I didn't feel like the characters really jumped out at me. They were fine, just not super memorable. The story was pretty good, but just felt a bit one note, not as much intrigue as I was expecting.
I'm still a die-hard Tarah fan, and I will continue to buy and read everything she writes, this one just won't be my favorite.

This was a fun book, I listened to it, I liked the main characters and the side characters and could imagine a series
