"Savor It" is a delightful novel that will leave readers hungry for more. With its rich storytelling, vibrant characters, and mouthwatering descriptions, it's a book that truly satisfies the soul. "Savor It" is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Something about this book just didn’t work for me. It definitely has major potential. Parts of it were great. Other parts were just…nothing. The pacing felt very off. I get a slow burn, but this didn’t feel much like slow burn. It just felt like nothing, then all of a sudden, everything, and then a rushed ending. The dialogue between characters was cute, good banter, just not enough of it to save the book from being only ok. Not enough investment in the side characters either. I did enjoy the couple of Funny Feelings Easter eggs though.

Tarah has done it again! My favorite of her books to date! The romance was everything I could want, but the emotional self journey each of the main characters took punched me right in the gut. The growth Sage and Fisher displayed by the end of the book had me tearing up while simultaneously giddy with glee!
I loved the setting of Spunes and Sage’s hobby farm! The plot was fun and easy to read. My favorite thing though was probably how enamored Fisher was with Sage. He loved her exactly as she was and had no qualms with telling her!
I could have read a hundred more pages centered around Sage, Fisher, Indy, and the animals!
Simply put, this book made me feel ALL the best feelings!

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s for the ARC! I throughly enjoyed this book. Well written with a sweet message about finding your place in this world.
Small town adverse Fisher ends up stuck in Spunes, Oregon for the summer with his orphaned niece in tow. Sage, Spunes small town sweetheart, saves Fisher from his run-in the local police department and Fisher offers to returns the favor. Sage takes him up on his offer and eventually the two become quick friends. As things heat up between the pair they try to keep things causal with Fishers summer end departure looming over them. Will Sage be able to sell Fisher on small town life? Or will their summer fling end with two broken hearts?
Fisher had some incredibly relatable anxiety moments that cracked me up. These scenes made me feel so seen! Some sage advice- read this book!

Taking a Break & Starting anew
I loved my time in this story (despite the spicy scenes some folk seem to need). It was the love, chuckles and the tears that kept me wrapped up in this story. Hey, there are some sage tid-bits shared within these pages, too! This was indeed a worthy read. Happy Reading ! !
Note: This review expresses my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this one, I thought it was a little slow in the middle, it felt like it took a little too long for Sage and Fischer to act on their feelings. Also the storyline surrounding why Carlie is opening up a restaurant in a town that only has tourists for a few weeks a year seemed a bit unbelievable to me since she’s coming from such a renowned family of restaurnnteers.

I would like to thank St. Martin's Press, NetGalley and Tarah Dewitt for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This book was very adorable in its own way! the characters were extremely lovable, and the cover of this novel is beyond gorgeous. I did feel at times that i was reading a lot of nothing? i felt it was very rushed at times. I would of LOVED to know more about Indy, Fishers niece and her backstory. I don't find she was mentioned enough at all in my opinion. I would of loved to see more bonding moments/connections between her and Fisher and more of growth. Not much happened in this book until the very end and i find it came very rushed and all at once.
i am beyond grateful i had a chance at an ARC of this one though!

Tarah writes some of the most relatable characters. They feel like people you know, or people you desperately want to be friends with. She never shies away from the hard parts of life but makes the stories binge worthy.

In Savor It, Tarah DeWitt invites readers to the coastal town of Spunes, Oregon, where summer holds both promise and impermanence. Sage Byrd, a woman who cherishes her small world, finds herself at a crossroads. Her misfit animals, the tight-knit community, and her friendships provide solace, but when her long-term relationship ends and her ex, the town's golden boy Ian, announces his engagement, Sage needs a win.
Enter Fisher Lange, a former hotshot chef from New York City. Grieving the loss of his sister, Fisher's Michelin-starred career crumbles, leaving him numb. Sent to Spunes on a summer sabbatical with his teenage niece Indy, Fisher faces a chance at redemption. But the townspeople aren't welcoming, and rumors swirl when he shares a kiss with his neighbor, Sage.
A strategic alliance is born: Sage will improve Fisher's image, and he'll be her partner in the town's annual summer competition. As their pact evolves into steamy rendezvous, emotional wounds heal, and they savor each fleeting moment. But summer slips away faster than they'd like.
What I Liked:
- Authentic Small-Town Vibes: DeWitt captures the essence of community, quirky animals, and the beauty of coastal life. Spunes feels like a place you'd want to visit.
- Sage and Fisher: Their chemistry simmers, and their vulnerabilities make them relatable. Their journey from reluctant partners to something more is heartwarming.
- Big Feelings: The emotions are palpable—love, loss, and the urgency to seize happiness before it slips away.
What Could Be Improved:
- Content Warnings: While the story is heartwarming, some readers may appreciate clearer content warnings for sensitive themes.
- Character Depth: A deeper exploration of Sage and Fisher's pasts could enhance their connection.
Final Thoughts:
Savor It combines spicy summer romance, small-town charm, and heartfelt moments. If you crave a feel-good read with relatable characters, this book is a delightful choice.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the early ARC of this book. 3.5/5
This read was like a warm Hallmark movie with the small town feels, albeit with more spice. It took me about 1/3 of the book to really get into the story of Sage and Fisher. It was a very slow burn. The author did a great job demonstrating the relationship between a teenage girl and her parental figure. I found this to be very relatable and honest.
Sage is full of puns and "sage advice" that is so endearing, you can't help but to fall in love with her character. The love story at the center of this book is realistic. The author pulled us into Sage and Fisher's world and you could feel the chemistry and longing grow throughout the book.
The book was mildly spicy, with most of the spice happening in the last 25%. It was worth the wait and buildup.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ending of this book and thought it came full circle in reiterating what is important in life. Not the wins or accolades that are so fleeting and momentary. Its about the people that you surround yourself with, the people that make ordinary things become extraordinary. Life is short and meant to be savored.

This is one of those stories that allows the setting to do its thing. The uniqueness and vibe really take off thanks to it being in a small town in Oregon. It gravitates me toward the story!
The characters have some amazing personality traits. I love that Fisher is a chef and we get those elements sprinkled throughout. Although I feel we could get a little more with the physical act of him being a chef. And while Sage is fun and quirky, I have a hard time relating to her.
Some parts of this story I adore, while others sections drag a bit. There may have been scenes that didn’t need to be there, but it is hard to pinpoint where it fell off for me cause the story is equally beautiful! 🌅
I’m a sucker for a good romance, and am so happy I got a chance to read Savor It! I’m excited to pick up more by this author! 💕

“Savor It” draws the reader into a sweet and tender romance. I really enjoyed this one! There’s depth and character growth; plenty of puns and humor; and, a charming small town with great characters. I loved the theme of letting go of other’s expectations and choosing what makes you happy, and savoring it.
All I can say is please give me more of Sage’s brothers!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really struggled with the first hundred pages of this. The story did improve in the second half, and I liked the ending with Fisher's return, but I can't believe how the start dragged for me. Overall a cute romance between Sage who has a bunch of animals on a farm and a chef who just lost his Michelin star restaurant. The highlight of this story for me was Fisher's niece Indy. I liked how Fisher acted around Ian for Sage.

Welcome to Spunes, a small town in the Pacific Northwest (I don’t know about you guys, but I just love that book that’s set in the Pacific Northwest.). Sage is the local sunshine who everybody loves, but is dealing with a devastating but necessary break up. Fisher is a fish out of water (when you read the book, you’ll get how important puns are) and together they are an adorable couple. Savour It is a romance that felt authentic and sweet at the same time, Tarah Dewitt is such a beautiful romance writer who deserves all of the praise she has gotten. She writes such relatable, but delightfully swoony couples!
If you like Sarah MacLean, Julia Quinn, or Evie Dunmore then I completely recommend this book to you.

This was so good! I loved the humor; all the puns! The little town of Spunes was so cute--some things were very reminiscent of Stars Hollow. Sage and Fisher are completely loveable on their own and another level of adorable as a couple. Oh, and all the animals--just incredibly cute. Now I'm off to search for all of Dewitt's books. Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC

Reading this Ijust felt safe. The love is so respectful and kind and there's always a safe place to fall, and I love that more than I can say.
Stars Hollow type of small town vibes
A+ side characters
Hobby farm
Moments between Sage & Fisher felt so authentic
Heartfelt + romantic= deep connection
Bonus: sweetest duck love story with a teen

I don’t know how Tarah does it, but I fall in love with her characters every single time. Sage and Fisher were so real and relatable! I loved the community aspect as well. The way Tarah writes about grief makes me feel seen and honestly feels like this book is giving my heart a tight hug. Thank you, Tarah, you’re an always-read for me!!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
Savor It is one of my hands-down favorites of this year so far. I fell in love with both Sage and Fisher and their love story. Truly one of the best rom-coms out there right now.
Thank you again for the ARC!

I am quite simply. obsessed. Tarah DeWitt is quickly becoming one of my most favorite authors. After reading Funny Feelings, I quickly applied for an arc of Savor It, and I was not disappointed. If you need a feel good book that has you giggling, kicking your feet, and LITERALLY LAUGHING OUT LOUD, this is the one for you!! Thank you netgalley for the arc of this book. I cannot wait for it to be released so I can have my friends read it.

Savor It is my first novel by Tarah DrWitt and I loved it!! The combo of small town girl in small town, with big city chef was the perfect story for me to sink my teeth into and disappear for a while.
It had the right about of spice and sexy scenes, some humour, a lot of depth, and emotional healing for almost all of the characters. There was so much Sage-advice I highlighted and can’t wait to go back and read some of my favourite quotes again. At its core, it’s a gentle romance that really showed how everyone has their own journey and path to walk to find happiness, and part of being getting older, is figuring out how to listen to yourself.
Check out if you love fake dating, small town romance, chefs, food, healing after death of a family member (prior to book).
