I received this ARC from Netgalley. This had me sad throughout the book. And just when you think she can move on... More sadness. I am a fan of her books, and enjoyed this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of Seven Summers by Paige Toon in exchange for my honest review and opinion. OMG this cover is amazing! That right there makes you want to drop everything and read this ASAP. Love Paige Toon and this book is another amazing story! However, I'm going to warn you, you need a big box of tissues close by!

A nostalgic, emotional novel about love, regret, and finding your way back home. Heartfelt and beautifully written.

Did not get to read - have way too many books on the shelf. Need to clear some out. Hope to get to this one in the future though.

While the concept isn't the most unique (same guy every summer) it did feel like it had a fresh twist. Liv reconnects with Finn the summer after college and what follows is a let's meet every summer while we do our own lives during the year love story. It's not without tragedy though and both characters have to work through a lot of trauma.
I enjoyed this one! Apparently Cornwall sounds like a charming beach town. Sign me up for a passionfruit margarita at Seaglass. This was my first Paige Toon and I'd definitely try some more.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Paige toon doesn’t miss. I read this one a little late and with audio- the audio isn’t my favorite (I struggle with accents) but the story line was fantastic and as always, beautifully written.

Emotionally FOUL!! In the best way possible.
Seven summers does a good job of making you feel this impending countdown of the past summers. Going back between the present and past timeline, you slowly build this story and get to know the main characters.
This slow build up is something that I find this author does well and honestly quite different from the cadence of most books I read and it’s honestly quite refreshing.
Overall really enjoyed this book even though I was a bit wrecked at the end.

The chemistry and yearning in this book are palpable. I loved it so much. I was sobbing multiple times throughout the story. It was a will they/won't they rollercoaster ride. And then you add Tom and adore him and his love for Liv too.
There is lots of growth and reflection both Liv and Finn throughout the book as they grow up. This had the making of potentially being predictable... I've read stories in the past about couples only being together once a year, or seeing each other in the summer, but it was a different twist on that idea. And the grief and loss both Liv and Finn have to cope with from their family adds another dimension of emotions to the story. I loved their friends, Rach, Amy and Dan, as well as Liv's brother Michael. The story is from Liv's point of view, and I think it works well. I love dual POVs but I think having Finn's perspective could been too much.
4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

I liked this and will check out her next release! The cover is killing me though. I like the color story, but...as a customer, I wouldn't feel inclined to pick it up.

Oh my heart. Seven Summers is a great pick for fans of rockstar love stories. This one has depth and will have you feeling all of the feels from the very start.

A love story spanning almost a decade, with the beginning of summer bringing two souls together and the end tearing them apart…almost like my heart as I read this. What an emotional romance. Liv and Finn went through so much- the will they, won’t they had me continuously rooting for them and then thinking they might be better apart on the very next page. This story really showcased that love isn’t always easy, love isn’t always kind, and love isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Love is love and you’ve got to go with where it takes you.

Paige Toon is an author that I have tuned into the last few years as she has a way of pulling you into her stories so easily.
Seven Summers is based on two characters who meet in their early years and meet up every summer when they are in the same town. One day the main FMC meets another man and has to make the decision of whom she would rather spend her life with.
This story was an emotional page turner and I loved it.

Paige Toon will now be an auto buy author for me. I’ve loved 2 other books plus this one as well. I love how Liv and Finn were together, but also Liv and Tom. This book is a little heartbreaking, but comes full circle.

This was my first book by Paige Toon and I’m excited to go back and read everything she’s written! This book could’ve been really predictable and cliche but somehow it wasn’t. I loved the setting, the characters, and the long arch of their love story. This book had me crying and aching and feeling nostalgic— a perfect romance.

Get in the nostalgic summer mood with Paige Toon’s latest release Seven Summers. Set to be released on May 21st, this novel's dual timelines will have you enthralled in our main character’s story.
This was one of those books where if I put it down, I procrastinated picking it back up again, but once I started reading it again, I got sucked straight into the story!
This story is about grief and finding your way through the dark times in your life, but also not letting them define you too much.
I felt myself torn between which MMC I loved more, but ultimately, I think Toon crafted a story that perfectly encompasses the complexity of real life and how unpredictable it can be, yet also how sometimes people enter our lives for the right reasons but at the wrong times, and whether or not the right time comes along, it still stays with us and helps us grow as people.
The setting of summertime being a feeling time of the year plays perfectly with the themes of the novel and I think Toon crafts a masterful story that really showcases a true human experience.
*I received an ARC from Random House in exchange for my honest opinion.

Read if you like emo romances, right person/wrong time, second chance romances, beach settings. Reminded me of Love and Other Words and November 9 but did not like it as much as those. Still a good romance! Easy and binge worthy!

Seven Summers was a cute romance, light and easy to read. Perfect to read at the beach or on vacation. Mindless book to read in between some of the tense thrillers. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance reader copy of this book!

I absolutely love everything that Paige Toon, and Seven Summers did not disappoint. This author makes you feel what the characters are going through and you take the journey to love, happiness and even heartache with them.

3.8 out of 5 stars! Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam/GP Putnam's Sons for this eARC of Seven Summers by Paige Toon.
I am sorry for the delayed response! I LOVE Paige Toon! This was an overall good read, and it is about a woman who reflects on her past relationships and her journey. The romance was super cute but pretty predictable. I would recommend this as a beach book where you can enjoy it on vacay, escape a little bit from reality, and leave you feeling in a cute state. Pretty easy read too if you have an active day and just want to read something cute on the kindle before bed.
Rounding it up to 4 stars because it's a cute story. I would recommend it to my friends who don't have time to read a lot.

I think I really need to stop trying to read second chance romances I can never stand the characters and it just ruins it for me. In this book we follow Liv and Finn when they are young before Finn makes it big and moves to LA. After that the two have summer flings for years until Finn becomes engaged and Liv meets Tom. Liv is left with a choice letting go of her past love to try finding love with someone new. This book had a beautiful story and I loved the writing my problem I didn’t like Liv and Finn together and the whole book I was wanting more Tom. With that said I thought this was a great book but not a trope that works for me. I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for a chance to read this book for an honest review.
