If I could give this seven stars for seven summers, I would. I went into this thinking it would be a light summer read but it ended up being SO much more. I’ve loved every single book Paige has created but this one is officially my new favourite. I can’t get this story out of my mind. Stunning work. Thank you Paige and Net Galley for the advanced copy.
(I cried so hard while reading this book that my boyfriend came running as he heard me sobbing from two rooms away - a clear sign of incredible story telling!!)

I have come to expect that Paige Toon will tear apart my heart with each new book. I’m grateful that I can count on her to put it back together better than before. There were two great love stories with this one and I couldn't choose the outcome I wanted. Fortunately, Paige Toon knows how to write the best endings. Excellent book with great pacing. I enjoyed every minute. 4.5⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP Putnam, G.P. Putnam's Sons for this complimentary ARC. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was a solid book. I am not one for emotional rollercoasters so that definitely affects my opinion, but the author did a great job drawing in my emotional heartstrings. In the end, I enjoyed the dynamic between Liv and Finn and the past present timeline was endearing me to them. I am left feeling like their HEA lasts after the last page

Wowowow it's a good one! Loved this story--would read it again! Such a good summer book and would definitely recommend.
Thank you NetGalley and Paige Toon!

This book broke my heart to pieces and then mended it back in place! This was such a great love story and with minimal unnecessary graphic sexual content like most books have these days. It had me questioning who I was actually rooting for towards the end and even cursing at one of them for his actions. It was definitely a roller coaster ride for me. The back and forth between timelines had me confused at first, but then I caught on and was able to enjoy the book, I was able to picture each character and those are the books that make an impression on me. I absolutely loved Livs brother, Michael! He was a favorite. I do feel that the epilogue was a bit long and drawn out, that easily could’ve been a last chapter we sort of deal. But otherwise this one was a great read. I’m happy with who she ended up with, but I’m heartbroken at the same time. Thank you for another great book!

Oh my GOSH this book was freaking heartbreaking. It hit me in the feels, for real. I can’t say too much because I don’t want to give anything away, but I loved the alternating timelines and the characters. I found myself simultaneously rooting for Tom AND Finn depending on which chapter I was in. There were so many tearful moments and it was just… so good.

I’ve been on a clean romance kick lately and this did not disappoint. There is zero spice in this book so if that’s what you’re looking for, bark up another tree. This does deliver in romance, though, so buckle up because the FMC gets to experience two loves in her lifetime.
I mean, how lucky can a girl be when her only two loves are great loves? This is a classic case of meeting the right person at the wrong time then meeting another right person during that timeframe. Both men are sickeningly sweet and good to her.
I loved how the title comes full circle in the book.
Thank you to NetGalley for sending me a copy in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my gosh. Paige Toon knows how to hit you in the feels! I found this one to be hopeful and heartbreaking at the same time. I liked the back and forth between the present time and each of the past summers. I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between the siblings progress as well as the FMC and MMC. I like that the author tends to write love more realistically—in that it’s not always perfect, or enough or fair. There is a lot of pain in the book, but there is also a lot of joy, and growth and beauty,

This was not my favorite. I am a HUGE Paige Toon fan, so I won't be giving up. I will eagerly await her next one and still give 4 stars because I love her so much. But this one was just super slow to begin and didn't catch me like the last ones. I look forward to her books and can't wait for the next one.

No one warned me that this book would absolutely rip my heart to shreds. The story was beautiful, heartbreaking and at many times unpredictable. Not at all your typical Summer Romance as the story bounces between two relationships, one past and one present, and your heart will have no idea who you should be rooting for.
📚Thank you NetGalley and Paige Toon for the ARC of Seven Summers.

First off- thank you to NetGalley for allowing me a copy of this arc!!! I feel so honored.
Torn between 4 or 5 stars—-
I definitely enjoyed this book. It’s a good summer read & reminds me a lot of happy place. What I didn’t enjoy was going back and forth between summers & the long chapters that confused me a bit.
However, towards the end of the book, I could not put it down & I was hooked.

Thank you to Penguin Group Putnam and Netgalley for the ARC.
Paige Toon has quickly become a favorite of mine, Seven Summers did not disappoint.
I loved Liv and being able to follow her story over seven summers. She really was a stand out character.
Liv falls for Finn, an aspiring musician, over a summer and continues to do so for years. She has to decide if love really is enough for the long haul.
Cut to the seventh summer where she meets Tom, artist of the sand and secret keeper, yet oh so charming. But, when will Finn show?
I went back and forth between Finn and Tom during the entire story. Both equally pulled on my heart strings. I would be invested in one story, and Toon would switch to another and I would become equally invested.
I did feel the epilogue was a bit fast and didn’t give what I wanted it to give (no spoilers here). However, the story was wrapped beautifully regardless.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy. First-this cover is gorgeous.
I’m so conflicted writing this review. I love a story with multi timeline, not big on a love triangle trope. The book was a slow burn for the first half but turned enjoyable and a page turner through the second half.
The epilogue felt very rushed and hard to feel the emotion that should follow the story, with the hard topics it covered.
Overall, I think this will be a huge summer hit!

Thank you Netgalley for this advance copy of Seven Summers!!
I am a big fan of Paige Toon and it was no surprise that I really enjoyed this book! I have a good feeling that this will be a favorite read during the summer season. As the title suggests, he book switches from present to past summers and takes us on the journey of Liv and Finn.
It is a sweet, charming romance. However, this is not a light read as it covers a lot of grief and loss. This will rip your heart out and you will shed some tears. So prepare yourself!

A lovely, lovely story of lasting love that endures for years with time lost and recovered. The relationship of Finn and Liv is one built on his summers in her town, each yearning for more time together but circumstances not allowing. Truly a love story of the ages.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinion are my own.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of the top beach reads of the summer! Seven Summers takes us on the journey of Liv and Finn, who meet while working at a bar in Cornwall in their early twenties. They are instantly drawn to each other- but it's a classic case of right person, wrong time, as Finn lives in L.A and they each have big plans to start their careers. Things get even further complicated when a tragedy occurs at the end of the summer, strengthening the bond between them even more. As Finn returns to L.A, they make a pact that if they are single the next summer to pick things back up where they left off. And this begins their epic and tumultuous love affair, spanning over the next six summers. But when Liv falls for Tom, a charming tourist who is willing to drop everything to build a life with her in Cornwall, she has to make a choice.
First of all- this is a VERY addicting read. It's been a while since I've had a book that I was reaching for literally every spare second I had. The pacing of the story was perfect and I loved bouncing back and forth between the past summers and the present. I feel like sometimes alternating timelines can get a little convoluted, but this was executed perfectly. I also looooooved the setting. I felt completely transported to the charming, summery Cornish seaside, which was particularly nice considering I was reading this during the dreary Michigan winter. The characters were all so likable and well developed- you could really feel their struggles. Liv, the protagonist, is one of the most likable and easiest to root for characters I have read in a long time. I found both the love stories to be totally swoony with tons of chemistry- I kept changing my mind on who I wanted her to end up with.
One thing to note- this is most certainly NOT a light, happy, beach read. This is a rip-your-heart-out kind of romance, so plan accordingly ;).
Really, my only gripe with this book was that I would have preferred the ending to have been a bit more fleshed out, rather than crammed into a pretty quick epilogue. After the journey this book took me on, it felt like I needed a bit more closure.
All that to say, I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend. I am looking forward to reading more from Paige Toon!
Thank you to Netgalley and Penguin Group Putnam for the advanced copy!

Thanks to NetGalley I was able to read an advanced copy Seven Summers and I was so happy to be approved for this read.
This book is an emotional rollercoaster and is so good. The characters are so well written/believable/ lovable I was immediately hooked from the beginning of the book. The MFC is a strong woman who overcomes many hurdles and the MMC is the sweetest, with so many great supporting characters throughout the book.
I absolutely love books that tell a nice love story over a broken up timeline. I loved this book and am still recovering from the wild ride that was Seven Summers.
I am definitely buying all of Paige Toon’s books and am already looking forward to her next book.
Seven Summers is expected to be released March 28, 2024. 10/10 recommend!

Paige toon is such a marvel. She can suck you into a story and make you want to pick up book after book even though you know she’s going to break your heart. This was a sweeping romance.
Honestly my only complaint was that I felt that the ending was a bit rushed. I won’t spoil anything but I feel more tension and building for the final landing of the story could have made a more satisfying ending.
BUT.- this was a beautiful story. I was moved and I am glad to have read it!

You know how you read a book and you immediately wish you were there? That's how I felt reading this. I wanted to be in Cornwall. Loved everything about this poignant romance! Paige Toon just has a talent for pulling at your heartstrings and never letting go. Perfect for fans of Emily Henry and Colleen Hoover.

Thank you to NetGalley, Putnam books and Paige Toon for the eARC of Seven Summers. There were so many things I absolutely loved about this book. The setting was described so beautifully, I loved how Paige Toon switched from present to past summers leaving a bit of a cliffhanger at each one. This book was heavy and emotional. The character development over the book was incredible. I do think there could have been a bit more build up between Liv & Tom, I didn't quite feel the connection.
I wasn't crazy about the epilogue, felt rushed and I personally wanted more closure.
This was my first read of 2024, definitely going to recommend this to my reading friends.
