I am obsessed this was such a great read i couldn’t put it down it was so amazing! This is the first book i’ve read by paige.

This was my first read for this and I enjoyed this book.
Tropes include:
💗Illness
🩶second love
💗 grief
🩶loss
💗love triangle
I had a bit mix experience with this book. The first about 1/2 of the book was hard for me. It was slow and had multiple timelines. Now the second 1/2 of the book was really good. The Fmc, Liv is an artist, aspiring sculptor.
She returns to her hometown where she first meets Finn.
Finn, is a new musician, who's had his own past to deal with. Finn's career takes him to the states, LA and Liv has no intention of leaving her beach. They continue there back and forth for 6 summers.
The seventh summer Liv meets Tom. I absolutely adored Tom. When Liv meets Tom she had to learn to trust and to love. and thus is in a triangle., who will she choose?!
All the characters struggled to get over loss and how to move forward. If you like second chance romances that deal with love, loss and learning how to move forward then definitely give then definitely give this a read. Thank you to NetGalley and to Penguin Group Putnam for allowing me to read in advance.

I read this book in a day and I never looked back! The twist and the plot were pretty easy to identify but the different POV's kept me intrigued to see how everything was going to unfold. A couple of the characters were so unlikable that it made it hard to feel bad or connect with them in any way. I do wish that the ending would've given a little more, I wanted to know how the characters dealt with the aftermath.

The moment I finished that first chapter I felt like I could taste the sea salt and I was on the beach just below Seaglass in Cornwall.
This book took me on a emotional rollercoaster I don't think I was prepared for and ended a place I never expected. I have a friend who says her stomach hurts when she reads an incredible, impactful book and lets just say I had the tums out.
Paige Toon is an architect of imagery and an expert in emotional carnage. The rollercoaster that went from summer to summer with Finn and then to the present with Tom had me wondering if Liv really would find happiness, but Paige delivered as always - in the most unexpected way.
This book was a beautiful story of how love is something that. never leaves us and life is something we can never control. I HIGHLY recommend!

I’ve only read one book by Paige Toon before this one and I have to say she has a similar style. I feel like she throws in a super sad plot twist at the end that leaves your heart shattered.
In the beginning we are introduced to Olivia (Liv) who works at a bar but also rents out an apartment space in her house to summer guests. This is where we meet Tom. Oh Tom, how I loved him. We also get 6-years worth of summer flashbacks to her romance with Finn. He was quite the catch too. This book follows along through both romances, until Liv has to decide where her heart ultimately lies.
I really liked Olivia. She is a sculptor and has a unique way of looking at people. She is brave, a great friend, and a supportive sister. I was rooting for her the whole time.
Tom is probably my favorite. I liked how he was brooding and kind of anti-social in the beginning, but Liv quickly tore down his walls. He had my heart from the beginning, so of course I was rooting for this couple!
Finn was a decent character. I liked how he was a rocker but wasn’t a player or let the semi-fame go to his head. He was still the down to earth art nerd Liv knew in high school. He did kind of irritate me when he would show up with no notice in the summer, or when he would tell Olivia that he could never move back home because he hated the place and wanted to stay in LA. I felt Olivia’s sadness and irritation here, and it was deserved.
This book was a 5-star read until the Epilogue, believe it or not. I loved all 51 chapters, but the very ending just tore my heart out and left me a sobbing mess and not in a good way. I get why the author did this, but I am just not feeling it. That is why I rated this book the way I did. Maybe someday I will reanalyze this and change my rating, but for now this is what I feel.

Liv and Finn meet every summer and her heart breaks every autumn when he leaves. At the 7th summer, she meets Tom.... A love triangle with lots of heartbreaks and drama. The ending is a bit quick but otherwise a terrific book.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

Paige Toon is one of my favorite authors, someone I can count on for an engaging storyline, well-developed characters, romance, and emotional ups and downs. In Seven Summers, she delivers on all fronts.
I liked that the chapters alternated between present day and summers past. I also liked the reasoning given for why the relationship between Liv and Finn couldn’t be more than it was (even though it was frustrating).
The introduction of Tom broke my heart in good and bad ways. The ending was what I hoped for, even if the route to get there wasn’t what I expected.
My only complaint was that the epilogue was almost 10% of the book. A lot it should have been part of the main story. I felt like it defeated the purpose of an epilogue.
4 1/2 ⭐️ rounded up. Would definitely recommend!
Thanks to NetGalley and Putnam Books/Penguin Group for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Seven Summers by Paige Toon is a beautifully crafted love story that unfolds over the course of six summers, each filled with the promise of a future together. Liv and Finn's connection, forged on the rugged Cornish coastline, is both passionate and heartbreaking, tying their fates together in an unbreakable bond. The author weaves a tale of love, longing, and the enduring power of promises. This book is a poignant exploration of the choices we make and the impact they have on our lives. It's a compelling narrative that keeps you guessing until the very end, as secrets are revealed, and Liv faces an impossible decision that will test the depths of her heart.

Seven summer is story about an epic romance between two young people that have an off/on relationship every summer throughout their young adult life. I like how we get to see how they continue to grow and work on their personnel career goals while their relationship is put in stasis. The story is heartbreaking several times through loss and hard decisions. Liv's relationship with Tom was the most emotional part of the book. Once I got into this book, I could not put it down, I had to see what would happen next. The setting of the story pulls you in just as much as the relationships.
Thank you Putnam Books and Netgalley for the chance to review this ARC.

5⭐️- A romance full of love, loss, trauma, grief, and heartbreak. This book was truly breathtaking to read and I cannot recommend it enough.

Synopsis: This story is an emotional love triangle between a woman and the man she just met and another man she spent the past 6 summers with. I really don’t want to give away much more!
Pros: Paige Toon writes the most beautiful, lovely romances! They aren’t spicy, smutty romcoms, they’re not cheesy Hallmark stories. They are epic romances filled with emotion and characters you root for. This story has so much heart and had me misty eyed at the end.
Cons: The only con is that this doesn’t come out until May so it’s going to have to sit on your TBR for awhile. I’m sorry!
But thank you to Putnam Group Putnam and Netgalley for the advanced copy. I absolutely loved it and hope you’ll read next year!!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Seven Summers by Paige Toon.
This is the story of Liv & Finn, Cornwall and Tom. Other characters aren't as memorable.
Every summer rock singer Finn leaves LA and visits his brothers and grandparents in Cornwall.
Every summer Liv & Finn circle each other hoping for more. Then the book gets repetitious.
It's like the movie "Same Time Next Year". They hang out, they love and Finn leaves.
After 7 (get it?) summers Liv meets Tom, falls in love and a plot twist is thrown in.
A long epilogue catches the reader up on the next 7 years. A hurried ending.

When I say I ugly cried through this book I mean it. This is my first Paige Toon book and definitely won’t be my last. I loved the character build, the atmosphere and how love was brought together year after year only to be ripped apart and put back together. The duel time line was very well written and not confusing as some other books I’ve read. One page specifically in this book will stick with me forever however I don’t see me forgetting this book ever. I would have loved a bit more of a background on Finn and his child hood however what was given was the perfect amount if there will be a sequel to this book ( which I hope there is :) hint hint!
If you like books with
Duel time lines
Summer love
Young love
Heartbreaking climax
And a happy ending
then this book is for you!
This is a 5 +⭐️ read for me and I will be telling everyone to get their hands on it as soon as it comes out!
Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Holy heck! Paige Toon sure does know how to write emotionally charged romance novels! I absolutely devoured her latest novel Seven Summers, and I truly did not want this book to end!
Seven Summers centers around Liv Arterton as she moves back to her hometown of St. Agnes, a Cornish beach town. Having just finished a sculpting course in Italy, Liv is looking forward to spending the summer with her family. What Liv doesn’t count on, is to meet and fall for Finn, a musician who is in town for just six weeks. It was at this point that I was “all in” and found this book unputdownable!
What a journey Paige Toon just took me on! This novel time hops between the past and present and spans 7 years which ultimately creates a full and complete storyline. There are so well-placed twists and turns that I definitely did not see coming—love that! There are so many emotions running through this book and I found myself tearing up (both sad and happy tears). Paige Toon is an author that’s an automatic 1-click for me, and I am so excited to see what she comes out with next!

I was so looking forward to this book. I’ve at the very least enjoyed her other books. This one just felt bleh to me. It dragged and fell flat.

One summer Liv and Finn meet and develop a deep connection which is only amplified by a tragedy. How can they make it work when Finn is musician in LA, and Liv has her life in Cornwall. They reconnect every summer for six summers, but on the seventh summer, Liv meets Tom. They start to develop a friendship, and Liv begins to wonder if it could become something more. However, is Liv really over Finn, and will he be back this summer?
I enjoyed reading this book, and it moved along quite quickly, especially since it retold every summer encounter for six years. There were surprises throughout the book which kept it engaging, but occasionally felt like an emotional roller coaster. My only critique would be that at times it felt a little rushed, so much happening in so few pages.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick read that will have you believing in second chances.

A charming love story, heart-warming and engaging there is truly nothing I did not love about it. I loved the characters and the sexual tension between them, I loved the humour with which this author never fails to paint even the bluest of situations, I loved the depth of emotion driving this story forward, but I loved its positive outlook on life the most, never showing life as anything less than a glass half full.

Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC.
The story in whole was a very good read. I was so disappointed in the ending though. I really had hoped that Liv had moved on from Finn, just for me to be disappointed.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for the ARC of this one! This is my second book by this author and I would give this one 6 stars if I could. I loved it so incredibly much. The book follows, Liv over the course of about a decade as she navigates her relationship with Finn and endures tragedy and love. It is beautiful and sweet and also incredibly sad at times. I was truly rooting for all of the characters and in a lot of ways it was a coming of age book. The timing of her relationships and how she chooses to navigate her life as a whole had me on the edge of my seat and if I could've I would have read it in one sitting. I cannot recommend it enough. Such a beautifully written book!

Paige Toon is officially an auto buy author for me. This story ripped my heart out then out it back together, this is a book to read over and over again every summer!!
