Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
The title of the book appealed to me most I guess. It promised heartbreak, a love impossible. So I delved into it.
Imogen (love the name) and Tarian (have neutral feelings for the name) are enemies and they transcend into lovers which could be slower or smoother.
The worldbuilding was good, the pace was good, there were no info dumps.
Overall I enjoyed the book and it kept me hooked from the first few chapters.
Thanks..

This story fell flat for me. I wanted to like it, but somehow it didn't quite click. Despite the promising premise, the narrative didn't quite resonate with me.

This story fell flat for me which is disappointing. I wanted to like it. As a reader I felt disconnected at times and struggled to keep my attention on the story.

I was immersed in this. It had such descriptive writing. I also enjoyed the build up, the profecy and the way mates are woven in the story. With the way it ended, i would definitely need the second book. I loved that the fae were a big piece to this story.

very fun romantasy. It kind of gave me ACOTAR vibes, if I'm honest. I thought the world-building was perfect; vivid and immersive, transporting readers to a realm of magic and wonder. Also, I'm a sucker for dark magic, and forbidden love so this was right up my alley.

This was such a great read. It is difficult to blend fantasy fae with real life. This was what I wanted cruel prince to be.

This was a solid fun romantasy. I loved the enemies to lovers aspect, and I especially loved Imogen has a main character. I think ACOTAR fans will enjoy this one.

5/5 stars.
This book has all the tropes I love. What a book!!
I really mean it when I say run do not walk and grab this book. Everything from the characters to the plot was just done so well. I'm planning on buying a physical copy for my collection. Yes, it's that good!

A captivating fantasy romance that’s both dark and alluring. Johnson and Jade create a world of magic and passion that fantasy fans will love.

I was able to read an ebook arc of this thanks to NetGalley. A fun romantasy. Great read. Would read more by this author.

I think this just wasn’t for me. I ended up skimming through most of the book cuz I just wanted to see the end and the predictable conflict of miscommunication and false identity play out. But even that just didn’t hit for me. The writing is well done however, the plot just didn’t grab me unfortunately

unfortunately for me it was one of them books where i was forcing myself to finish it. lots of fantasy readers will definitely enjoy this’
thank you netgallery for allowing me to read this ebook early :)

It was also one of the books I could not get into and had to push myself to read it through. But I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it and I hope they do!

A book full of all the right vibes! Reminded me of Sarah J. Maas and Holly Black. I really enjoyed this dark, sexy and daring fantasy story.

I personally could not get into the book. I really had to push myself through it. That being said it wasn’t bad, I know for a fact people will eat this up. If you’re in your fantasy phase right now this books for you! I just couldn’t get into it

I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity
Dark and sexy I'm so glad I read this.

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

4 stars
I really liked this Romantasy, the writing was good, fast paced, and some of my favorite tropes. I did have some issues with MMC and the world building, which is why I only rated it 4 stars. This has fated mate and forced proximity tropes. MMC Tarian, was very dark and grumpy. I really liked his character at the beginning of the story but did not change or develop as a character much after the relationship started to change and kept doing things after they talked and was still very harsh and angry with FMC Imogen. I really would have liked more world building and development, I just wanted more back story for several characters and details and descriptions of the Fae world. There was a lot of action and twists, which were a lot of fun and the book read really fast. I would recommend checking it out. I will be picking up the second book. I am hoping for some great development in the next one, plus the way it ended I need to know what is going to happen.
I received an advanced ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.
