Ladies and gentlemen we have to stop romanticizing Stockholm Syndrome. I'm begging, here.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. #NetGalley.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. I liked the story and I found the characters enjoyable.

3.5 stars rounded up!
The world building and magic system was easy to follow, which I always appreciate. I also loved Imogen’s character. She makes you wonder if she’s actually crazy or not but her thoughts are entertaining. Tatiana was a typical bossy, broody, fae king who doesn’t want to love someone that he ultimately will.
There’s was some miscommunication and honestly lack of communication that was a bit annoying. I wanted more exchanges between the MCs because it kind of felt like they had 2 actual convos and were suddenly in love? But I still enjoyed the romance aspect of it.
This book ends on quite a cliffhanger which makes me eager for the next one!

The enemies to lovers genre gets me every time. I love me a good book with a human and fae as well. Hope this book continues into a series!

If you enjoy romantic fantasy with enemies to lovers, fated mates, a steamy cramped storage room moment, and witty banter between a sassy human librarian and morally grey fae prince then this book is for you!

Prince of Never' left much to be desired. It was fast paced but I couldn't get behind the characters.
Imogen's transformation from timid librarian in the human realm to abrasive and confrontational in the fae realm felt jarring and inconsistent. The MMC wasn't any better, just devoid of any redeeming qualities. That made it difficult to understand the progression of their relationship, or to even root for them
. Additionally, the world building fell short, leaving crucial aspects of fae lore unexplored and contributing to a sense of disconnect within the narrative.
One super frustrating aspect was Imogen's supposed expertise in fae matters, but with no concept of fated mates? It just didn't make sense.

ANOTHER case of "romance comes out of the author's @ss and no build up to it throughout the novel". I actually DNFed that one 82% in (don't ask why I didn't do it earlier), but damn, can we get healthy romances with characters who communicate? They knew nothing about one another, virtually NOTHING, so why are they falling in love? Ugh, anyway 2 stars

I received a copy of this for my honest review
I really tried to get into this book, but it just wasn't hitting right for me. Unfortunately I chose to DNF - but maybe will pick up again when in a different mood

Yes please! The story was a little slower than I expected but the plot was golden! I loved the symbolism used and the development of the main characters.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc!
I really struggled to get into this book. This made the book a lot harder to read and I found myself struggling with the story. Maybe it was the wrong time for me to read this book because I think that if I read it again after a few months I will enjoy it a lot more!

Meet Imogen, a lively librarian, swept off her feet by Tarian, a mysterious and brooding fae prince. Their love story unfolds in a magical world full of twists, treacherous schemes, and a destined bond that adds a delightful spice. Imogen's fiery spirit clashes with Tarian's moody demeanor, turning their journey from foes to lovers into an enchanting rollercoaster. The romance blossoms quickly, but the ongoing series promises more challenges and growth for this dynamic duo. With warring fae courts and captivating folklores, the fae storytelling and world-building create a familiar yet captivating backdrop. I can't wait for the next book in the series, especially after being left with such a thrilling cliffhanger!

I would like to thank the Authors, Lorelei Johnson & Hailey Jade, NetGalley, and the Publishers for providing this e-ARC. Witch, I will be giving my honest and sincere review.
They thought she was crazy but she knew something was lurking out in the shadows, and wants to get her.
Imogen a quiet and lonely librarian, was attacked in a Nightclub, with fangs that never left her mind and haunted her life ever since. Now are again the visions, or are they real?
Enemies to lovers, Fated Mates, Misunderstandings, Forced Proximity, Grumpy/Sunshine, Morally grey, Fey World, the premise with creatures that won't be anything kind.
We have a dual POP, and it's packed with actions, from hate to urges they both don't understand, the need for protection.
The characters and world are intriguing, easy to read and understand the politics. Aldow I would love more character description.
Is Tarion a "Tamelin" of this story?
I'd like to continue reading the series to see where it goes next.

I enjoyed this book, however, I wanted so much more from it. It did seem very similar to other fae enemies to lovers books and there was a lot of side items that were happening that took away from the main storyline.

Miscommunication, but in the Seelie/Unseelie Courts.
I mean, I loved the fae and their magic. The mystery of it all was so fun to learn along with Imogen. The queen is SUCH a fantastic villain, she is the perfect amount of evil and manipulative. But could the two of them have a full freaking conversation?? A lot would have been different if they had just been grown ups about it.
Overall I liked it, but I just have an annoyance for miscommunications.

Obsessed! I could not put this down. I loved this. It is a great fantasy and it is so addictive! I need book 2 now!!! This was absolutely amazing.
I just reviewed Prince of Never by Lorelei Johnson, Hailey Jade. #PrinceofNever #NetGalley

I wish NetGalley gave us the option for halves because this was a solid 3.5 ⭐️ for me.
I, of course, swoon over anything in the trope realm of morally grey MMC, fated mates, enemies to lovers, hidden magic and I absolutely loved the little sprinkling of only one griffin. However, even knowing that this would contain a lot of my favorite elements, the story was overly predictable and I was begging for Tarian and Imogen to use some common sense! The sheer stubbornness of Tarian to keep secrets and continue down the road of miscommunication had me rolling my eyes. But, I guess if he been more mature/honest then we wouldn’t be getting a sequel. Which I am truthfully very excited to read.
I do feel as if I easily predicted every big reveal, and I’m not sure if it’s just that they were so obvious or that I’ve simply read too many stories that follow the same tropes/plot devices. Even though absolutely nothing surprised me in this book I still devoured it and found it a fun, quick read. I do wish we’d gotten a little bit more world building but I suspect the sequel will get a bit deeper into the past of the Seelie/Unseelie courts splitting and Imogen will certainly be looking for answers to confirm my suspicions of her lineage. I’m also hoping we get a lot more of Ethan in the sequel because of all the characters I’m pretty desperate to know his backstory. I think others like Ves and Briyala could have been used more effectively rather than having them flit in and out of the strory so hopefully they are more prevalent as well.

I really struggled to get into this book and found myself struggling with the story. I don't feel comfortable leaving a public review as a result, but I would like to try and read it again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“The need to go to her, to care for her, to touch her, was incessant. It hadn’t lessened at all. Whatever had bound us was undeniably strong.”
Kept me completely intrigued.
This book would’ve been solid gold if I would’ve had a better visual of the characters in my mind. Something I personally love is character descriptions… I want to fully see that character in my mind. Either I missed it or it just wasn’t enough detail for the two main characters, the
only visual I had by the end was still that the male was dark haired and the female was blonde. A little missing in that aspect for me.
But DO NOT get me wrong. I still loved these two characters. I read this book entirely in a night and a half. Already pre-ordered book 2 that comes out in August! It is an incredible story!!!
I also ended up going to the author’s pages and looking for character art which I’m so glad I did!!!! Love! Love!

This one for me felt like it was lacking structure. I felt like it was all over the places and the dual POV just took me out of the story each time it changed as it didn't flow at all.

I approached this one with the idea that it could stand alone, so when I saw it had a cliffhanger, I was a little miffed.
but, the writing style is easy to read, the plot moves nicely, and the plot is fairly fascinating. I get to appreciate learning about the fantastical and perilous animals that lurk in the Fae world. It took me some time to get to the main characters, Taran and Imogen; their assumptions and misunderstandings occasionally irritate me. If they had just sat down and spoken the truth right away, it would have been so much easier. However, I enjoy the conflict and squabbling that they have throughout the narrative, as well as the supporting cast members, such as Ethan and Sarah.
