This story out of all of them was just chaos. Dante is the most clueless, brainless man that exists and it's hilariously charming because it never comes off as rude. He's just a grumpy guy who knows what he wants and sucks at communicating in any way other than the most blunt terms possible.

I've enjoyed the continued little tidbits about the world through this series, and I liked seeing more of dragon culture in this one. The romance is hella cute and fluffy, and I love the way Dante's love interest tied in with the rest of the series. It's got adventure, it's got fluff, it's got romance. But also zombies and death, so honestly it's a well-rounded book.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance reader's copy of the book. Another fun, fast paced read. I loved it and was so happy that it was about Dante. The story was well written and I enjoyed it. Another good cozy fantasy. I can't wait for more to be written in this series. I plan on recommending it to all of my friends who read. If you love cozy fantasy with sex, then this is the series for you.

This is the longest book in the series, and I thought that could only mean good things, but BOY WAS I WRONG. This book was just incredibly boring, and dragged out. It absolutely did not need that extra lenght at all. The first two books were so incredibly fun, so that makes how bored I was reading this feel even more like a betrayal than normal. This book easily is the book in the series with the smallest scale plot, so why did it need more pages? Really? There barely even is a plot in this book besides the romance.
Talking about the romance, it just wasn't it. I mean, the first two books don't have the best developed romances either. They are a bit insta-love but I actually really liked the romances in those books. I think both books balanced the steam with the cute really well. This book just gave me a whole lot of nothing. To be fair, this is the least insta-love of them all. Cherry actually takes a bit to develop feelings. However, I did not like how it was done. For most of the book Cherry was NOT interested in Dante at all, besides for sex. It's just that when they eventually have sex, it makes Cherry magically head over heals for Dante. It just did not make sense to me. It was at the flip of a switch, not well developed at all. It just made me frustrated. Especially because there wasn't too much else to root for.
I was quite excited for this book because I really like Dante in the first two books. He's a fun, but VERY grumpy character. I just feel like his personality dissapeared once he fell for Cherry. He started acting like Felix in book two (now, I loved Felix in book two, but it's his natural personality, for Dante that's the exact opposite of his natural personality). On top of that I also just didn't like Cherry. She just was incredibly stupid, and it infuriated me even more because a lot of her stupid decisions are clearly made because Kimberly Lemming needed to drag out the plot a bit more. So it didn't feel natural.
I also don't think this book was nearly as funny as the rest of the series. The humour is honestly the main reason I loved those, so that was a big dissapointment. There are a couple of laughs, but they are few and far in between. So yeah, I didn't completely hate this book. There were some parts I liked. It's just that this was such a MASSIVE dissapointement from book one and two that I just feel a bit bitter.

This e-Arc was provided by Net Galley - thanks!

Unfortunately, I had to DNF the first book in the series around 36% and have chosen not to read any further. I was really looking forward to the series which is about a young woman who has many unfortunate mishaps when she drinks too much blackberry mead. This sets her up to come face-to-face with many different magical creatures, and go on many journeys. This is a romance series with spice, but it just really wasn’t working for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read all kinds of romance books with all levels of spice and I am a big fan of this genre. The spicy talk from the demon in the first book caused me too uncontrollably cringe. I will not be finishing the series which is disappointing because I know a lot of people really like these books. I would be willing to try the author again in the future though.

This was a really fun read! It was the first I'd read in the series, and I did find myself wishing I'd read the others as well. Although it works as a standalone, characters from the previous books do make several appearances and it would've been fun to have known them better. Despite that, I had tons of fun reading this! The characters and events were exciting, and it managed to walk the line of being predictable but not boring. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series!

Another delightful low stakes book in this series. It is fun to have some low stakes fantasy romances.

4 stars - It was really good

After reading the first book and learning about the heartbreaking story of Cinnamon’s sister I never expected book three to be about her, but surprise it was. Cherry has been trapped in a tower for five years and has spent every day devising plans to escape. When Dante appears she uses the opportunity to coerce him into helping her leave but that goes awry when he declares her his mate and claims her.

Cherry is an extremely strong woman who has been through hell. She just wants her freedom and to see her family again but circumstances keep getting in the way. While she initially see’s her mating to Dante as another cage, as time passes and she actually learns about Dante and demons in general she realizes that he truly does care and isn’t lying when he proclaims her his fated mate. I liked Cherry and do understand why she withheld information about her family for so long because Dante was a stranger at first, but I did go on slightly longer than I should have I think.

“I love you, Cherry. Our story may not have had the best beginning, and the middle has gone off the rails, I’ll admit. But we’re nowhere near the ending. I’ll have centuries to find out all the little things that make you tick. Then, just when I think I’ve finally got you figured out, you’ll do something outrageous to throw me off your tracks. And I’ll fall a little more in love with you each time.”

Dante is a 704 year old storm dragon who is clueless about human women. I really enjoyed watching him bumble his way around Cherry and struggle to woo her. Fallon and Felix’s advice also was not very helpful for him so that made the situation even more amusing. Dante was a wonderful and protective dragon and I loved seeing him take care of Cherry and just make her happy. I mean he chased down a phoenix just so she could log it in The Book of Beasts so how could I not love him.

“You may be the one chained, Princess, but make no mistake, I am always at your mercy.”

Dante and Cherry’s relationship starts very rocky with due since Cherry was imprisoned for five years by a dragon but as they travel together she realizes that he isn’t the same as the one who imprisoned her. I enjoyed their relationship and how Dante slowly worked to build Cherry’s trust over the course of their journey. Once their relationship did take off it was so sweet and extremely steamy. I really enjoyed these two and their banter a lot.

Overall, this was another wonderful addition to this series. I have really enjoyed this wonderful blend of fantasy, humor, and adventure and look forward to reading more.

Well I feel like this wasn’t as funny as the other books I enjoyed it. Good old Alexis is back. She is so funny. This story is so animated as well.

As with previous entries in this series, I think the reading experience is overall a fun time, although the story and characters are not particularly memorable. I would recommend this book to readers looking for a cozy fantasy or a story that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Kimberly Lemming has done it again... the Mead Mishaps series is just so FUN! You know exactly where this is going, but the journey is a good time. Like the previous two books in the series, I loved the characters and laughed out loud throughout. I can't recommend these enough if you want a low-stakes fun fantasy with a little spice and a lot of goofiness.

These stories are always the perfect palate cleanser. I love that we got Cherry’s book. And Dante was perfect for her. The fact that we have a little of Dante in each book, and finally get to see his story play out is lovely. His awkwardness is so charming. And Cherry is just wild and fun. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I wish we had more romance and bit less action, however for the story is makes sense why it was that way. Looking forward to the next book!

If Kimberly Lemming writes it, I'm going to read it. She is the master of the fantasy romcom, and I am here for it every. single. time. These books will make you laugh out loud, get hot under the collar, and swoon for the best shifter, demon, etc. boyfriends ever.

I thought That Time I got Drunk and Saved a Human was adorable, funny and spicy, and I read the whole thing in one sitting. These books are absolutely fantastic.

This one was okay, but overall a 2.5 rounded up. I think for me, the pacing was a bit off and I ended up kind of skimming a little too during some parts. With this entry being 300+ pages, it definitely had the most room to flesh things out and have more buildup between the two main characters. But in the end, I think it actually felt the most flat out of the three. Plus I wish there was a little more even if it was the longest, but maybe I was a little picky here. I still like Dante and Cherry, and there were some good moments especially physically, but maybe it's because I was used to the pacing and dynamic of the other couples that even though I LOVE certain tropes here, I wasn't as invested. Felix and Brie just had that big of an impact on me, I guess. 🤣

I'm in love with this book and Lemmings whole Mead Mishap series. It was just a joy to read, the romance was sweet and spicy in all the right ways. It has adventure and fluff with characters you can't help but love. I am so hoping we get another from Lemming soon!

I’m obsessed with this series. They’re hilarious, the banter is amazing, I love the characters. And honestly the side characters are just as great.

Long live Alexis the sword 😂

When I saw this available to request, I was so excited because I had already read books 1&2. I genuinely enjoy this series. I love this cozy Romantasy vibe.

Cherry has been locked in a tower for five years with a dragon guarding her and preventing escape. When a new dragon shows up, she decides this is her chance for escape. So she decides to drug his drink and hopefully convince him to take her home. Simple. Except instead of just agreeing to take her home, Dante has decided she’s his mate, and she can go home but he’s coming with.

This was really cute. I definitely love the pick me up, cute read. I really want more books in this series. Like, someone get something for Alexis. I liked Dante and Cherry fine. I really wanted more time with the characters back in her hometown. I would have loved seeing more of her and Cin. I feel like an extended epilogue would do wonders for making this a more satisfying end.

Overall I enjoyed the book. It isn’t perfect but it does its job well. I definitely want more books in this world, asap. Book two is still my favorite of the three, but this is solid as well.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this. While I was given an arc, it has not impacted the content of my review.

3.75/5 stars

Such a sweet, cozy and heartfelt story. This is the 3rd book in the Mead Mishaps series. I really enjoy how fun and sweet this series has been. This follows Dante and Cherry’s relationship. Dante has been looking for his mate when he meets Cherry. Cherry finds herself being kidnapped by yet another dragon. Dante rescues her and they start to develop feeling.

This book is a cozy fantasy. It’s actually beyond cozy to the point of fluff and it’s so entirely enjoyable. Loved every minute of it!

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this series.

After reading the first two stories, I have decided that this may not be for me, and while I am so glad that others have enjoyed their time here, it's time to admit that I am not. If you like short stories with a small-town, insta-love vibe that doesn't take itself too seriously and is fairly low stakes, then this series could be for you.

Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit for the ARC of this book!

Another fun addition to the Mead Mishaps series! This time we have fated mates Dante (another dragon shifter), and Cherry (a human who begins the novel trapped in a castle by a different dragon). If you enjoyed the first two books, you'll like this one as well. Cute, funny, and a quick read. You get a very cute fated mates story while advancing the plot of the Mead Mishaps world. I would genuinely read like fifteen more of these books. I hope Dante's sister is the next Mead Mishap character to get a story.
