Cherry has spent the last five years trapped in a tower by a grumpy, nonverbal dragon. Dante's arrival opens a window for escape, but she doesn't trust dragons. Miscommunication, drugged tea and fated mates jumbles it all together as the two build trust by traveling across the land.

Another funny fantasy romance from Kimberly Lemming. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Dante's inability to control his strength was hilarious and I was so pleased that Cinnamon's sister was not dead.

Another excellent romp by Kimberly Lemming! This rounds out what I believe is my highest rated trilogy of 2023!

If you haven’t read the others in the series, I highly suggest going back and doing so as the emotional payoff of this book is so much sweeter after reading the previous entries.

First, the characters are top notch as always. Each main and secondary character has so many hilarious lines and moments throughout the story. Alexis, the flying, talking sword was a delight to hear from again and I loved seeing a little bit from her point of view. (Please tell me the next book is from her point of view, I love her!)

I did miss our secondary cast of characters back in Boohail. I wanted to see Cherry interact with them all more. Obviously, that wasn’t the point of the book but I wish that we could have had more time with Cherry and her meeting all the demons. The ending scene is perfect though. So emotional and amazing and the perfect foil to the accidental drugging that kicks off the book.

Now onto our main couple, Dante and Cherry. Excellent as always, and I love that he just wants to support her in all her wonder at being back out in the world again. I wanted to learn even more about Dante’s back story and his sister! Hopefully she pops up in the next book too?

I did take half a star off on my Storygraph review as I personally struggled a bit with Cherry’s naiveté paired with Dante who is hundreds of years old. I felt like I didn’t connect with them as much as I did Cin and Fallon or Felix and Brie because of that. It felt like they were very much at different points in life despite Dante being 1000% all in and supportive of her. That’s just my preference though!

I’m heading to pick up the novellas in this world right away. I need more books in the world, anything in the future will be an absolute instant buy from me!

This book was excellent and it is my favorite of the series. Dante was the funniest hero and Cherry is my favorite sister. I will say that I did not enjoy the insta love on Dante’s part. I enjoyed this book the most in the series because of the romance. I loved the spice and how Dante and Cheery interacted with one another.

thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for the eARC.

I am unabashedly obsessed with Lemming’s Mead Mishaps series and That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human had me feeling all the feels. If Dante isn’t just the most precious combo of cinnamon roll and touch her and 💀 then we clearly read two different books. I loved Cherry’s stubbornness and adventurousness and obsession with magical creatures. Their dynamic, their banter and tension had me equal parts grinning like a fool and gritting my teeth in second hand embarrassment.

I absolutely loved their initial meeting because I’m a sucker for a he falls first trope and fated mates tropes. I know what I like and Kimberly Lemming obviously also knows what I like. What I would also like is my own Lord dragon and his horde and his seduction, like yesterday please. Their adventure felt very organically chaotic, much like their developing relationship and emotional attachment.

My only complaint is that this book isn’t longer. As readers we know who Cherry is and there are so many almost opportunities for Dante to learn exactly who she is, in relation to his friends that is, that the anticipation of her revealing her familial connections was a slow burn throughout the entire book. However, I felt that the ending was so rushed! We got some teary hugs but I wanted these women to sit down and share some TEA about their dragon/demon husbands. I wanted more Fallon and Felix teasing Dante. I wanted more Monet family reunion. The only hope I can cling to is another short story/novella as Lemming has done in the past. PLEASE, pretty please with cinnamon on top!

Cherry officially stole the top spot for my favourite FMC out of all of Kimberly Lemming’s books. This one is by far my favourite of this whole series!

This was my favorite of the main three mead mishap books.
Dante relying on the Banshee crew and the Shadows for relationship advice, character growth for our MCs, a significant amount of happiness, laughs, tears, and scorching smut.
I really enjoyed this series.
Thank you Kimberly Lemming, Orbit, and NetGalley for the ebook. I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

Okay, can someone please explain to me how this series just keeps getting better and better? Book 3? My new favorite of the Mead Mishaps.

I thought I’d already had a great time with Fallon and Felix, two amazing book boyfriends, BUT Dante? DANTE? He definitely takes the cake. I can’t say that reading about a 700 year old dragon getting high on ayahuasca and hallucinating that he was talking to a banana version of his friend, but it will likely live rent free in my mind for the future.

Cherry was a great FMC! I am so happy with how her story was brought together, it was a perfect addiction to the series and suddenly becoming a dragon’s wife suited her, even if she didn’t see it. I highlighted so many quotes from this book, I know I was definitely going back and giggling at them in the future.

Ugh this series is just so good.

This was another super fun book from Kimberly Lemming! As always, it was hilarious and steamy and a really fun time all around. While I did like the second one a tiny bit more than this one (I missed the rest of the characters a bit), this book was still really great! I hope there are more books in this series; I adore this (slightly weird) world so much!! I absolutely recommend any of Kimberly Lemming's books, they're all so entertaining :)

Thank you to the publish and NetGalley for this review copy.

I found this book before it got picked up by Orbit Publishing. I then got a review copy, and the book is still just as good. I love the world building in this one. The expansion is needed and well done. I'm ready for the next one.

Rating 4/5

I couldn't pick a favorite character or book from this series. They are all so phenomenal! These books just make you want to kick your feet and giggle. Again the only complaint I can find fault with is the length of these stories. I need more time in this world with these fun characters.

Again, Kimberly Lemming has my heart. Though I don't love the remade cover on this one. Their faces look.....off.

Content warning: This is an adult romance book and has explicit sexual scenes. There are also scenes of kidnapping, drug use, and graphic violence.

First, I love that this book starts with grumpy storm dragon Dante trying to learn how not to hurt humans because he's so strong. He really gives off grumpy old man energy a la Nick Miller. I chuckled multiple times because of how funny his interactions are and how straightforward he is. When told he should get a mating gift, he just straight walks into a room, gives a tiara, and then starts to go down on Cherry. I mean, I'm down.

I also liked that Cherry was introduced. It turns out she didn't drown but was captured by a lonely dragon and has been hidden away on an island. The whole book had a wonderful subplot of when she'll be reunited with her family. I was waiting on the edge of my seat for that. I can honestly say this is the first romance novel that made me cry.

This honestly may have been my favorite in the series so far. Though it did include my least favorite age gap/main female character is a virgin trope, I could at least get past it because Cherry had been kidnapped for 5 years. Cherry reminded me so much of Meg from the Hercules Disney movie. She was a damsel, but she was not in distress. Even when facing down monsters, she was never waiting for someone to save her.

Thanks to NetGalley and Orbit for this ARC!

Cherry is officially my favorite FMC by Kimberly! She has perfected the quick funny spicy reads! Loved every single one so far!

I was excited to see this book was about Dante since I was starting to feel really bad for him by the end of the last book. He is such a grumpy sweetheart and it was nice to learn more about him. I also enjoyed Cherry's character, she made me laugh so many times with her antics. The romance in here was also really sweet. This book was fun and had just enough chaos for a great lighthearted read.

I was really excited for this book having read the others in the series... however for no actual reason in particular I bought it and never got around to it... enter Netgalley and an audiobook arc so I finally got around to it...

I really should have just read it back when I got it because of course I liked it. It’s a ridiculous and fun series that I’m fairly certain I’ve given 5 stars to every book. This one was obviously no different

Knowing this book was about Cherry my first question was how is that possible when she’s supposed to be dead? Obviously she’s not but how she ended up where she was ended up being both sad and infuriating. I loved Cherry and Dante and I did find it funny that she kept refusing to tell him where she was from which would have made things much easier. All the advice he was getting from his friends was hilarious. I was not surprised Alexis found her way into this book it is rather a given at this point. It’s a fun book with an adventure some romance and a lot of chaos.

I hope there is more books in this series... Usha deserves a story... The only question I have though is where did the cat come from and why was she following Dante around anyway?

This series is so cute! I thought that this book was the best of the 3 books yet! The buildup to the relationship was really good and both of the characters had their own understandable reasons for their issues. I thought Cherry’s holdup of not wanting to tie herself to another dragon was really well explained and didn’t feel like just a plot point. Dante was really lovable and I thought him constantly calling Felix and Fallon was a sweet touch. I also thought the way that Cherry reunited with her family at the bed was incredibly sweet! What a lovable fantasy setting - can’t wait to read more!

Ancient storm dragon, with limited social experience flies off to find his mate! And boy does he ever have his hands full. Dragons, talking swords, gladiator fights, and general mayhem ensue. Third in the series, they are all great fun with a good helping of spice and can be read standalone, but why not read them all.

Another fun installment to the Mead Mishaps series, That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human, focuses on Dante, a dragon we meet in book 1, and Cherry, the missing sister to Cin, the protagonist of that first novel. Having been kidnapped by a dragon years ago, Cherry is saved by Dante when he suddenly shows up at her tower. While he quickly recognizes her as his mate, they quickly fall into misunderstandings as they escape back to his home.

This keeps with the hilarious writing and somehow cozy adventures of the first two novels, and fans of the series will surely enjoy this new installment. While this wasn't my favorite couple, I still enjoyed watching them get to know each other and fall in love.

I have been excited to have this installment in my hands for a while. Dante being a grumpy old dragon was everything I needed it to be and more. Our heroine is the perfect combo of loyal and independent, but with a high appreciation for shiny things. Their chemistry was out of this world, and Dante is my new fictional dragon boyfriend (sorry Fallon). Also will always enjoy an interaction with Alexis.

I really have enjoyed all of the the Mead Mishap installments and can't wait for Kimberly Lemming to keep on doing what she does best.

Thank you to Netgalley and Orbit for an e-copy.

I thought this was a cute, cozy fantasy romance. Kimberly Lemmings is one of my instant reads. I liked this book, but it was not my favorite in the "Mead Mishaps" series. The banter was cute and funny, and the characters' dynamic was adorable. However, I thought the plot lacked direction. Still I thought it was a fun little read.
