This series of books is so much fun and I am so glad I found them. Perfect snuggle up cozy fantasy with just the right amount of spice! Dante and Cherry had such a fun dynamic and I just adored all the things Dante was willing to do to make Cherry happy. The monster book was so neat!

I really enjoyed seeing the characters from the other books pop in and out of the story as well as the further world building. I found myself giggling with delight and hugging this book on several occasions.

I did have a few issues with some plot points- one of which being Cherry, who was kidnapped and hadn't seen her family for YEARS, finding out where they were and instead of going to see them immediately she snuck off to have a romp in the sheets first. I just found that wildly unbelievable.

I highly recommend for anyone looking for low-stakes fantasy full of imagination and humor.

I think I've said it about every book, but it remains the same. This series is a hysterical, riotously good time. Dante and Cherry were maybe my favourite book in this series. And the return of Alexis the Talking Sword is just the best. Truly loved these books. They bring all the tropey goodness that I adore and political discourse on the side. Absolutley perfection. Kimberly Lemming has found a new forever fan in me!

Once again, I am not disappointed by the writings of Lemming! It was funny, it was steamy, it was adventurous, I loved it! I hated how long it took for the sisters to reunite, but that’s because I’m impatient hihi!! I will be reading other books by this author. Also, I’m in love with the talking sword! Gawd, she’s F U N N Y !!!!!!

***.4.0 Stars***

Overall,
Kimberly Lemming has a way of writing that always leaves you with a smile. This is the third book in this series and follows a dragon and a human. It is a quick read that will leave you kicking your legs giggling. The overall plot was fine, but it really shines in the characters and world. The imagination Kimberly has is superb and it is fun to read about the world she has created. I love the cover art, it screams joy and laughter. I recommend this book series to anyone who wants a mostly cozy sometimes violent love story.

I completely forgot how delightful this book series is! Every time I pick it up, I can’t help but smile from start to finish. It’s the kind of story that gives you everything you crave—an engaging plot, lively characters, and a sense of satisfaction—all in a quick, enjoyable read. If you’re looking for a fun and lighthearted introduction to fantasy romance, with plenty of witty banter, this is the perfect book to dive into. Highly recommend!

Hello Fellow Readers,

'That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human' was such a cute cozy monster romance and I am so glad I read it. I didn't realize it was a series until after I finished reading, but I will go back and read the others since this book was so much fun. Cherry was an absolute gem who just wasn't about to catch a break. Imprisoned by one dragon on an island, she can't find a way out of it, only to encounter another dragon (Dante), who she decides to drug and use to escape. If things were just that simple, this would backfire and cause Dante to claim her as his mate and take her to his home.

Even though I enjoyed this book, it took me a little while to get into the story, and it took longer than I wanted to read. I didn't enjoy Dante's instalove, I feel that it would have worked better with a bit of slow burn between the two leads. I also wish that I had read the other books first because there were some characters I am sure were in the other books that were in this one that I should have recognized.

There is NOTHING Kimberly can't write that won't bring a smile to my face. Seriously in love with this series and all the delightful trials and tribulations she shares with us. This series is a MUST.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human was so much fun! It's a cozy, fantasy romance that has a lot of humor, adventure, and spice. In the first book we get Cinnamon's story, in the second we get her best friend's Brie story, and in this last book, we get Cinnamon's lost sister's story, Cherry!

Recommend this series for everyone who is looking for a fun time with a lot of laugh out loud moments.

I enjoyed this one a lot but wish it had a bit more build up like the others did. It felt like the romance build up was rushed because we "knew" the characters already. I didn't feel like we got to savour their meet-cute nearly as much as I would have wanted.

But this was still a really great novel!

I originally read this series thanks to an ARC of the first book, and I'm so glad that I did. At first glance I wasn't sure that I'd be into them but oh my god they have quickly become staples in my reading list.

This is by far the best of the entire series. The writing is fun but not overdone, the characters are the ones we love but with added depth, we explored more of the universe of Mead Mishaps and its such a fun lighthearted place to be that I never want to leave.

The spice was spicing, but this doesn't feel like a stereotypical smut novel. The spice fits within the context of the story and only enhances it, it's not the centerpiece. The ending brought tears to my eyes which is hard to do with my frozen black heart.

Unfortunatelty this series went downhill for me quickly. I loved book 1, but books 2 and 3 took a tun that lost me. I think it went from being fun ridiculous, to over the top and cringy ridiculous. I found both main characters in this one incredibly annoying, and this series just ended up not being for me in the end. I will pick up books in a different series from this author, as I enjoy their writing.

Love, love, love Cinnamon! She was so relatable and so funny. Loved the premise of the book and the world building. The romance connection lacked a lit but it was still super entertaining to read. I will definitely read more Lemming

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human is the third (and last?) installment in the Mead Mishaps series by Kimberly Lemming. I think this is also my favorite one of the three!

This series is full of tongue-in-cheek humor and full of romantic, cozy fantasy vibes! I love that the same characters are found throughout the entire series as it gives it such a connected feel and I definitely recommend these books to anyone looking for a funny, romantic fantasy series.

I am very eager to check out Kimberly Lemming's upcoming releases!

Thank you so much to the publisher and to NetGalley for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was so cute. I haven't read anything by Lemming before and I wasn't sure what to expect. I loved the setting, the vibes and I was in just the right mood to read this. I didn't read the previous books, but I still enjoyed it. The castle, the mix of characters, the plot.

Lots of humour and heart. The instalove was a bit jarring but I loved Cherry and Dante! It does end a bit short and I wanted a bit more at the end, like a wrap up epilogue, but maybe there's another in the works?

Lemming might be one of my favorite rom com with spice authors. Her Mead Mishaps are some of my favorite and this one was no exception! This book was less spice and more sweet but I was totally here for it! Dante is one of my favorite characters and his journey to find his mate and their relationship growth was so sweet to see. These books have found a spot on my shelf!

I loved the 1st two books in this series and was eagerly awaiting this one, unfortunately it fell short. This book featured Cherry, Cinnamon’s sister (from book 1). She was kidnapped and has been imprisoned for 5 years however this seems to have been no big deal to her and she’s in no hurry to reunite with family. This book was just weird with a series of scenes, without much of a plot.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human by Kimberly Lemming is another fantasy romance romp in the Mead Mishaps series.

I've mostly done a blended read for this series, following along in the physical book while listening to the audio version. I borrowed the audiobook from my local library, and Hazel Addison continues to knock it out o the park! She's very entertaining to listen to.

In this one, we follow Dante, the storm dragon and Cherry, a girl locked in a tower by a sea dragon. As always, steamy scenes have amazing consent work.

This series is so fun! If you're looking for some fun and steamy fantasy romance that will make you literally laugh out loud (if you like irreverent humor), please check out this series!

CW: violence, drugs, kidnapping, light dub-con

Tropes in this book include: forced proximity, fated mates, light BDSM
