I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This one was the best yet!!! I absolutely love the main characters (no spoilers) and their chemistry! Dante was smoldering sexy and down bad for the FMC and I was loving every minute of it. Plus the tension of knowing the background knowledge that the main characters didnt added some extra burn. Highly recommend for fans of the precious two books, this is my new favorite!

In this book you will find; miscommunication trope, public sex, touch her and die, Princess trope, a “man” down so bad, power couple, fated mates, and some detailed deaths.

This was really cute! I can always count on Kimberly Lemming to give us a light-hearted romantasy where the guy worships the ground his girl walks on.

Although I will say, I am slightly disappointed that Cherry only reunites with her family in the epilogue. I waited the entire book for her, Cinnamon, and Brie to reunite and talk about their monster husbands, but it just never happened.

Overall, though, it is a very funny and sweet addition to Mead Mishaps.

Thank you so much to Netgalley for the ebook in exchange for an honest review :)

Cherry has been locked in a tower for the last five years by a dragon. Then she finally gets a chance to escape; however, she finds herself at the mercy of, you guessed it, another dragon. Their situation becomes even more difficult when Cherry’s choice to drug her would be rescuer dragon results in life altering consequences. Whoops…

I have loved every installment in the Mead Mishaps series and this one falls right in with that. It’s an incredibly entertaining read with relatively low stakes. Don’t be surprised to find yourself smiling, snickering, and outright laughing at the antics Cherry and Dante find themselves in. I especially loved how Cherry made Dante chase after a phoenix, so she could record it in the magic beast book. This book in general leads to some really entertaining plot points. I also loved the cameos from previous characters woven throughout although it also made me want to pull my hair out over the mistrust/miscommunication between the two main characters. Felix as a dating coach was a fun little addition. This book was also full of “looks can be deceiving” moments from characters that look fierce having a heart of gold to cute little fluff balls that will live rent free in your nightmares. Overall, this book is all about the vibes, and it does that well making it easy to connect and become invested in the characters.

This a fun end to this series, or at the very least a fun third installment. There's definitely a polish to this one because it is traditionally published, but the humor and characterization I enjoy from Kimberly Lemming's writing is still there. This is what I want my fantasy romance to be like: funny, centering the kinds of characters we don't usually get to see in these worlds (Black women) and just enough action and adventure to keep you interested and give a greater plot than just between the two love interests. You have to suspend your disbelief a bit for this one because it takes so long for something between Cherry and Dante to finally be revealed that is really so obvious (even to the characters) but I still enjoyed this!

Kimberly Lemming really delivered a delightful fantasy romance trilogy with the completion of The Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human. This was my favorite of the 3 romances and I adored the the dynamic between Dante and Cherry.

Lemming does a fantastic job of displaying female friendships, strong and fun main characters, who end up with men who would burn down the world for them. There is a great balance between quirky fun fantasy adventure and steamy romance.

The third? or fifth? (I guess depending on if you include the novellas) entry in a hilarious, heartwarming, and spicy series which I don't have to actually describe too far before others are clued into the intriguing and fun quirks that make up the setting and plot. Worth re-reading the previous installments to re-familiarize with names and faces first, but that's no hardship.

Obviously, Mead Mishaps is a totally addictive. I binged all three currently published installments in three days. I think That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human improves upon its predecessor, That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf, without quite measuring up to the book that started it all, That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon. That first book was just a lot of fun and, while the other two installments were also enjoyment, they didn’t quite capture that same magic.

I’m not going to mention the female lead of this book by name, as that’s kind of a spoiler for previous books. But she was a lot of fun, with just as much sass and snark as I’ve come to expect from Lemming’s leading ladies. And the demon once again falls first, which is a trope I enjoy. Said demon is also charming, funny, kind of clueless, and sometimes absolutely terrifying. Which is a winning combination in a love interest. The two have some great chemistry. This book wasn’t quite as spicy as its predecessor, and I was actually okay with that. Book two was a little much.

The amount of tropes in this series is kind of insane. But in a fun way. In this installment alone we had fated mates, marriage of convenience, he falls first, and many more. What I’m not a fan of is the miscommunication or lack of communication trope, which was the driving force behind a lot of the plot in this particular book. If there hadn’t been so much humor in the story, it would have been a major turn-off. However, seeing as the entire series is hilarious, I let it slide.

Mead Mishaps is such a funny, frothy, spicy, cozy fantasy series. There are definitely stakes, and a significant amount of bloodshed, but you also can tell from the tone of the storytelling that everything is going to work out in the end. And sometimes a steamy happily ever after is exactly what you need. That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon was my favorite, but I had a serious amount of fun with the entire series. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I love these books! They are always fun, low stakes, escapism, fantasy stories. Kimberley Lemming is quickly becoming an auto-buy author! I really hope that there are more books in this series.

I adored the earlier books, novella, and short story in the Mead Mishaps series, so I was beyond stoked to read this one, and Kimberly Lemming did not disappoint, unsurprisingly. The tone is perfectly frothy, snarky, and fun, the high stakes (like multiple kidnappings and potential coercion) are addressed quickly and with refreshing candor, and the conflict(s) are resolved so fast. It's my perfect type of romantasy, for sure!

I love Kimberly Lemming, I love Cozy fantasy, I love this little world Kimberly has created. It's safe to say that if you liked the first two book sin this series you'll like this one. If you didn't like the first two books, maybe skip this one, it just as cute, cozy and in my opinion perfect as the other two.

Huge thank you to NetGalley and Orbit for allowing me to read this!

I already loved Kimberley Lemming’s writing, but I think this may be my favorite book in the series so far! Not only are there re-imagined fairytale elements in this story but we have really well thought out characters and stories. I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Oh my gosh, are you kidding me? I loved this! I had no idea who this book was going to be about, and when I figured it out, I had to stop reading for a minute and collect myself, because I was so excited. This book was so fun and had all of Kimberly’s classic humor, her wonderful characters, the wonderful boohail, and so much more. We got to see Alexis and meet some new characters which was super fun. We got to wrap some things up from the past left on answered, and we got to see more smutty deliciousness. What a wonderful read, and I am left here in such a good mood :-)

If you're looking for cozy romantasy that also has comedic relief and some smut, this series is 100% for you. We got shifters, humans, magic, talking swords (love her), fated mates, sassy and stubborn FMCs and their absolutely obsessed love at first sight MMCs.

These books are very easy to read and entertaining that honestly put me in a good mood while reading! Some parts made me laugh while others had me swooning. I was getting frustrated with Cherry till I realized she does a lot of the same stuff I do with her stubbornness 😅

But honestly, go into these with the expectation of just having fun and you won't regret it!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Yes. I started it. Twice. It was just was too tough for me. :( I loved the title! The cover picture was somewhat blurred. I couldn't make out what it was showing.

This lovely, cosy trilogy has come to a close and ends with such a sweet close for the characters in this world.

The mystery of Cin's sister and what happened to her in the end was finally brought to light, and so was the destiny of a certain older dragon we saw a lot of in the series. The two of them getting their own story was fun to read.
I loved the ending of this book the most as it was heartfelt, and the wacky adventures we had along the way.

It's such a great, cosy trilogy that I highly recommend it.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human by Kimberly Lemming
Ratings: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easily my favorite book in the Mead Mishaps series, this book was a cute, fairly low stakes, rom com that sucked me in right away.

Minor warning for spoilers in regards to revealing something not known in the first two books!

This book follows Cherry who has been stuck on an island after being kidnapped by a dragon 5 years ago. Along comes a favorite character of mine from the previous books, Dante. Dante, another dragon, falls instantly for Cherry and so begins their journey. What follows is a story of earning trust, tiaras, talking swords, cinnamon rolls, battles, unicorns, and even more dragons.
I really enjoyed the characters in this one and the interactions between Dante and Cherry were so funny. I hope this isn’t the last we see of these characters and that we might get a couple more stories in this series!

Thank you to the author, @orbitbooks_us and netgalley for this arc in return for my honest review!

Check out That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human on March 5th!

Thank you to Orbit Books and Netgalley for this ARC for in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third installment in the Mead Mishaps saga and this time we are following Cherry the long lost sister and Dante the dragon shifter. This was an intersting way to bring Cherry back, I don't know if I fully understood or liked the explanation but I liked her with Dante. Gotta say, this was probably my least favorite of the three Mead Mishaps Saga books. Which is kinda sad because I did like Dante, but the story line was a little flat and the characters weren't really fleshed out.

Over all it was still a fun book and a good rap up to the saga, but not the strongest of the series in my opinion.

Cherry was kidnapped by a dragon five years ago, so when another dragon shows up Cherry decides to get him drunk to convince him to save her. When Dante sees Cherry and realizes he's finally found his mate, he doesn't need anything to convince him to rescue her and convince her that they're meant to be together.

This was a fun read about Cherry and Dante's adventures together, but I do wish this had spent more time focusing on Cherry reuniting with Cinnamon and the rest of her family.
