This is the third book in the series of romances between human women and supernatural creatures. In this third book we have the sister of Cinnamon, who everyone presumes is dead, being rescued by a shape changing dragon.
Of course, Cherry was also captured by a shape changing dragon, so she doesn’t trust this new one, and drugs him, so she can escape. But, as with all the other books in this series, things don’t go quite as planned.
In this third book, Cherry just wants to go back home, but she doesn’t want to tell her dragon savior where home is, because she doesn’t know what he will do to her family. So she doesn’t tell him where she came from, or what her last name is. And as with most books, if she had just communicated that, she might have gotten home a lot sooner, since the dragon was friends with her sister.
This book has less of a straight line, as to what their quest is, but once we get there, all hell breaks loose. And yes, this too is not a clean romance, and the main characters get hot and heavy with each other, with lots of details about who is doing what to who.
If you don’t like sexual exploits, you can skip over those bits, and get on with the story. And the story is such a delight, that like the other two books in the series, I had to eat it up, I wanted to know what was going to happen.

I’m hoping now that this series is coming out, that there might be more stories about these supernatural creatures, and their human brides.

A very quick read, and well worth it. This book is coming out from Orbit books on the 5th of March 2024. Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

Loved the dialogue in this book. So funny. One thing that makes this book 5 stars is that nothing was predictable, it was all so different and amusing to see what would happen next. Alexis was my favorite character, such an oddball of a character. Her POV’s were really hilarious. Dante and Cherry were a really sweet couple. I enjoyed their relationship. Dante’s nervousness was endearing him being a mighty dragon and all. I have to admit I haven’t read the first two books but am now going to read both. They have been on my TBR for awhile. I am so thankful to Orbit and NetGalley for the ARC of the book.

Favorite Quote: "Wasting no time, I took my paintbrush and wrote "THESE KNIGHTS SOME HOES" in big red letters across the wall.” 🤣

Favorite Scene In 1-3 Words: Alexis in barracks

This was very cute! There are definitely times where KL's writing style feels a little over the top (or maybe trying too hard?), but it makes for a very easy read. I would consider this to be a good "palette cleanser" if you're trying to break up some heavier material. Like is this top notch writing? Not really. But I had a hell of a time and I devoured it. I have a hard time rating this too highly because of the extreme simplicity of the plot, but it was cute, quirky, and a bit spicy. If you're into the cozy, cheesy type, you'll probably like it! I would give it like a 3.5

Conceptually, I find this series hilarious. It’s easy to read, and even though this one didn’t grip me, it’s an easy three stars for the target, with four to five for the right readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and Orbit Books!
It's an amazing continuation of one of my favorite romance series! That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon is one of my ultimate comfort reads, and I am happy to say this book definitely lives up to expectations. I loved the author's direction in bringing back a character everyone thought was dead. Dante becoming all love-struck and moony was hilarious. Dante learning how to deal with a human mate was so fun. Cherry was a great character and I loved her and Dante's interactions. The romance was pretty good, although I wish we could see the sisters reunite a bit more. I would have loved some wholesome scenes about them being back together, but overall it was great!

Cherry, having been kidnapped five years previously, sees her opportunity to escape when another dragon comes to her prison island. When she accidentally drugs him too much and he marks her as his mate, she has to decide if she has been finally freed or if this is another prison.

This might be my favorite book of the series. Finally getting Cherry's story after hearing the other characters talk about her in the first two books was very exciting. And combine that with Dante!! I was so excited since we saw Dante being grumpy in the other books and now he gets his chance at love.

One thing I really like about this book is how funny it is. I found myself laughing out loud on multiple occasions. Dante wanting to do everything and anything that Cherry wants and then Cherry being baffled by that was so charming and sweet. But it was also nice that Cherry was somewhat hesitant. Instalove is great but it's nice when the characters do try to get to know each other along the way too. And Kimberly Lemming is so good at that.

I did find the mystery of why the other dragon took Cherry to be a bit anticlimactic but it didn't change my feelings for the rest of the book.

That Time I Got Drunk and Saved A Human is the third installment to this delightful series. This is the story of Cherry, Cinnamon’s sister who was presumed dead. Cherry has been held captive by a dragon for years and it’s just her luck that it takes another dragon to finally escape. But after being held captive for so long, can she really trust another dragon?

Kimberly Lemming’s writing is simply hilarious. It’s warm and inviting, making these characters feel like old friends. The dialogue is so funny that it will literally make you laugh out loud. Cherry is just as charismatic as Cinnamon and gets into plenty of shenanigans in her quest to return home. Cherry forms a sweet romantic connection with Dante along the way. I loved how all the characters we had met in previous books made appearances, especially Alexis! I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a lighthearted, hilarious, and heartwarming story.

Thank you to Kimberly Lemming, Orbit Books, and Netgalley for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

For publisher: My review will be posted on Instagram, Goodreads, Amazon, Storygraph, and Barnes & Noble etc

Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This entire series is just fun and bonkers in the right way. Magical, horny and full of fated mates. I loved the addition of the talking sword and the Beauty and the Beast vibes.

I recevied an arc of this book for my honest review. All opinions are genuine and my own. Thank you to Netgalley, Kimberly Lemming and Orbit Books for allowing me the pleasure of reading this book before release.

That Time I got Drunk and Saved a Human followed Cherry, the human and Dante, the dragon shifter we met in book 2. Cherry is locked up in a castle and trying to find her way home when Dante visits the dragon keeping her and finds out that Cherry is his fated mate. Hilarity, mystical creatures and spicy scenes ensue.

This book is so incredibly light hearted and fun. It takes itself zero percent seriously. The side characters are hilarious, unique and jovial. The banter between the FMC and MMC is so cute. Dante was so worried about being able to impress his new mate and that was also adorable. I loved him being a cinnamon roll for her. I was so glad for the open door scenes and Dante's dirty mouth.

I'd absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun, carefree book and I cannot wait to see what Kimberly puts out next.

Tropes:
Dragon shifter x Human
Who did this to you
She saved him
(almost) enemies to lovers
Brat x Pleasure Dom

I loved Dante and Cherrys story so much! The fact that she was Cinnamons lost sister was just perfect too. I love how he falls first and how he just can’t help himself around her.

The comedy in this book and series as a whole is too notch and I was laughing the whole time 😅 the sudo was good too and I really enjoyed the narrator

I absolutely loved this book! As soon as I started reading I could not put it down. It is cozy fantasy rom-com with some spicy and I absolutely loved it! The two main characters are great and feel so real with the way they are written. The world to me was interesting and the magical items throughout the book were amazing! I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

I really just adore this whole series. I loved Dante and Cherry so much and was so happy Cin's long lost sister wasn't gone forever. She was absolutely perfect for our storm dragon. Alexis played a big role in this story which was amazing, cause I'll never get enough of that sassy sword. The audio was great! Hazel Addison did a great job, I just wish we had a male narrator too.

Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read this as always.

Dante and his lady love’s story is by far my favorite of the series. While the previous book stays in Boohail, here our hero and heroine travel all over the map. It’s quite helpful to have a giant dragon when you want to take the scenic route. Alexis the horny sword herself makes a return in a big way as only she can. I really enjoyed that our couple took a while to get to know each other and work thru some of their issues before the steamy scenes started in earnest.

Also the new cover is gorgeous of course!

This was another light and fun romance! The pacing was a little strange, but Cherry and Dante were really sweet together. If you liked the first two books in this series, you will enjoy this one too! It’s a silly but enjoyable series and I will happily read the next book the author writes!

Thank you to NetGalley and Orbit for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

My thanks to NetGalley for making an eARC of this book available to me.

For entertainment value this would have rated four stars. However, there were too many distracting typos and the writing just a bit too uneven for me rate it that high. Also, the opening scene didn't work very well for me, probably because it was basically a segue from the previous books in the series (which I had not yet read). However, you should not let these little problems deter you from reading this cute little romp of a romantasy.

It was really enjoyable to see the thought processes of the two main characters as they both dived into previously unexplored relationship territories. The utter feistiness of the main female character was quite endearing.

I will, of course, be going back now to read the first two books in this series, and I will be looking for any future books as well.

If there's one thing that Kimberly Lemming does well is entertain me. It's so great to come back to her world and learn more about the lore. In this book I love that we get a backstory on Cin's sister Cherry and what she's been up to since she disappeared. She was captured but a dragon and is basically all alone in this island with no escape until Dante comes along. All Dante wants is a mate and he's found one in Cherry so he's absolutely not going to let her go now. Dante courting Cherry and trying to get her to stay with him was so precious. Him looking for advice in Fallon and Felix and their small cameos was precious. I really don't want this series this to end and can't wait to see what else is in store.

This was a really fun read! Very silly characters and situations. I will for sure be reading all of these books.

The writing is solid and it set up following books effortlessly. I would have appreciated more smut but the smut that was given (especially the 2nd scene) was good.

I enjoyed this one a little bit more than the previous too but I'm still not sure how this is a published book by a traditional publisher and not have some more work done to them. I love the covers for this books and I love having more monster romances. I however didn't like a lot of stuff in it. I really didn't understand why they were mates so quickly. We don't even really seen how Dante came to know he had a mate. He also seemed to lose his grumpy side that we see in the other books which I loved seeing him be grumpy and scary. I didn't understand how Cherry was taken by the first dragon. I thought it happened when she was a small child but based on the things they did and said it seems she was older than what I previously thought. I really didn't mind Cherry but I didn't understand why she fell for Dante so quickly. She didn't seem to be scared of anything that was demon like but was terrified of normal creatures like an elk? To me that made no sense. Their romance was okay but seemed to lack any real emotion. It seems like these books are something small and short to kill time. They aren't very plot heavy and everything is done so quickly to move the book on to the next thing. The world building isn't huge or great it is just kinda a smile world that we have a map that's much more detailed than we ever hear about in the books.

This series was such a delight! They're so humorous and silly and are all the better for it. Plus these definitely got better and better with each book. I still think Brie and Felix are my favourite couple, but I am so glad that Cherry wasn't left for dead and that Dante got their happy ending.
