That feeling that the story is missing more pages, I have the feeling that the stories should be longer, but it happens to me usually when I find a novel that I like and want to keep reading

It was a little difficult to understand the first story but as it progressed I got fully into the story and felt that I needed more pages to continue in the story.

with the second story I went quickly into the lives of the characters and it was so good that it seemed very short to me. For me, the plots and characters were so good that they fell short with the number of chapters.

Two beautiful, cozy stories about love and family, the first is more fun and heartwarming with Willow taking a trip on the Christmas Express train taking advantage of the tickets that her ex-boyfriend had bought before the breakup, where a lot of funny characters make her feel accompanied and lead her to find love in a very hallmark mode. And the second is more romantic with a second chance to trust in love again, when Skye's first love returns to town to his tree farm and she has to work side by side with the man who broke her heart while he desperately tries to regain even the friendship that used to exist between them.

It's always a bit tricky to review an audiobook version of something I haven't read in print or ebook. Clearly there are two parts to the review - the text of the story and the audio narration. And obviously they interact with each other in the general appreciation of the author's work. This work was a collection of two holiday-themed novellas. Both of them were pretty adorable and generally well-narrated.

The first, "Dashing Through the Snow", was definitely my favorite. At times I was a bit confused, since I was listening to the story for the first time without benefit of being able to turn print pages back to check if I'd missed something or just forgotten a bit. But sometimes novellas are like that. On the whole, the story had a Polar Express train fantasy vibe that I really enjoyed. I was willing to suspend any disbelief I might have had to just go along (literally) for the ride - where do I sign up? The narration, by Talon Davis, was expressive and capable; listening to her reading engaged my interest and gave the story's characters just the right emotional temperature.

The second story, "Pining for You", was a good story, though I felt the "shortness" of the story much more than in the first novella. Though the story took place at a Christmas tree farm, I didn't get much holiday feeling from the writing. If this story had been first in the collection, it wouldn't have been quite so jarring by comparison. The story involved some serious issues that might have benefited from a longer format. The narration, by Kayla Jackson, was well done, though in my opinion, a story where each chapter is from a different character's point of view, like this one, should have two narrators, one for each character. I am used to this approach in other audiobooks, and it made this audiobook harder for me to engage with.

Not only do you get to read a sweet romance story and be completely entertained, you get two for the price of one!!! This is my kind of reading experience! I love a bargain, but a bargain on a great audiobook or book is even better! Add in that Christmas is the theme of one book and a tree farm the setting of the other and you have me swooning with delight. My Hallmark movie loving heart is already thumping with joy, but now let me tell you about the stories so you will understand the fun to be had! In the first book, a Christmas themed train ride that takes place in the weeks leading up to Christmas finds our delightful main character nursing a almost, but not quite broken heart from a breakup that was meant to be. I say meant to be as we all know that she is going to find love on the train right!?! Lots of entertaining twists make this lighthearted and sweet story and absolute delight to listen to. The narration is wonderful as it helps aid in bringing the story and emotions to life. In the second book, we have a second chances theme between old friends turned lovers turned spurned love with a distance of 14 years separating them from their breakup. The problem is neither of them got over the other, but can they overcome the pride and miscommunications as well as secrets that are still holding them apart!?! Never fear, a happily ever after is near, but you'll have to listen to find out if it all works out. The narration in the second story was even better than the first in my opinion, although it was a close call. I love how an audiobook can bring the reading experience even more fully to life. This was my first experience reading this author, but it won't be my last! I can't wait to read or listen to more from her!

3 stars. I totally loved "Dashing Through the Snow" which was sweet, funny, and romantic. A very Christmassy novella which was a joy to read. I especially loved the HEA! I also enjoyed listening to the narrator, Talon David, who also did a great job in narrating "Famous for a Living". In fact, I loved this story so much that I bought the "On the Way to Christmas" ebook which included it as part of three Christmas stories. Reading it was just as much fun as listening to it.

2 stars. "Pining for You" was OK but I just couldn't connect with the main characters. I got impatient with them and ended up not listening to the last 30 minutes.

Snowy serendipity by Melissa Ferguson is a holiday treat.
Two cute stories set in the warmth of Christmas. In the first story, Willow gets to experience the magic of a Christmas train and all the cliche characters you would expect. It is sweet and romantic with a healthy dose of humor.
Skye and Theo were best friends growing up and have gone different directions as adults. Too bad no one told their hearts. Skye comes home to help her parents and realizes that not everything is as it seems. I love how their differences pair perfectly and create plenty of laugh out loud moments. A thoroughly enjoyable, satisfying sweet Christmas romance.
I have read each of these stories and loved the opportunity to listen to them come to life under the talents of Talon David and Kayla Jackson.

Snowy Serendipity is two novellas, each very different from the other but takes place during the holidays. One is fun & festive while the other is a more emotional read. I enjoyed them both for different reasons, but I love that both of them were cozy in their own way.

I really enjoyed Talon David and Kayla Jackson as the narrators - very enjoyable to listen to and their energy was beautiful for each story.

Two short, quick dopamine reads sure to get you into the Christmas spirit! The first story was adorable and I was wishing it was longer, I think she could have made it a full length book! The second one felt a little underwhelming to me but still had charm to it!

These were two fun short stories that involve the spirit of the holidays. In the first story, our protagonist has just broken up with her boyfriend and decides to still use the tickets they bought for the Holiday Express to get back home. On the way, she finds adventure and maybe love. The second story is about an old flame and some incorrect assumptions that have kept the couple away from each other. Eventually, things are straight out and they are able to make it back to each other. The narrator does a great job bringing both of these stories to life.

I really enjoyed the first story. It was magical and the perfect stress-free break for me from psychological thrillers…😊 It could have been a little longer because I couldn’t believe how fast it went. I enjoyed the book and now I want to go on a Christmas themed 2 week train trip!

The second book was not as Christmasy…but I still enjoyed it. Theo was portrayed in a negative light at the beginning so it was hard to love him and want them to find love. But the second half was sweet.

Definitely will get you in the Christmas spirit!

This was a super cute set of stories! I definitely liked the first one much more, so I’ll focus on that. The idea of a Christmas train is so sweet, and such a unique story. I love the relationships the FMC builds, especially her romance.

Two cozy Christmas novellas from Melissa was just what I needed to listen to while cleaning my house over the weekend. They're short and sweet and full of holiday whimsy.
There are two different narrators which helped me keep the stories separate. I liked them equally and would recommend for anyone needing a quick dose of cheer.

I do not think I am the audience for this. It seemed old fashioned and out of date for me. With referencing the phrase “man is the head but a woman is the neck” There were a couple things like that which made me cringe.

If you want something light, fluffy, and clean this isn’t bad, just predictable.

I was hoping for more holiday vibes.

Story 1, Dashing Through the Snow, follows Willlow on a solo 2-week train ride on The Christmas Express following a breakup with her longtime boyfriend the night before the trip. From a special elf to a passenger stranger my similar to Santa, she begins to heal. Story 2, Pining For You, tells the story of Christmas tree farm owner Theo, as he works to woo his childhood friend Skye, while also attempting to step in as farmer of the tree farm and trade in his Tesla for a tractor.
Both stories are cozy simple reads with happy endings and Christmastime vibes.

I thought the stories were really cute. They were really quick but was a full story. Nothing felt missing, a tad fast but it wasn’t a full novel so it made sense.

Two cozy, easy holiday themed listens. The first one was better, and more Christmasy in my opinion. While the second one took place at a Christmas tree farm, it didn't really have a lot do with Christmas, whereas the first one was set on the Christmas Express train and involved lots of Christmas activities. I enjoyed listening to both of these and recommend for anyone looking for some quick happy endings to get in the mood for winter! Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Two easy short stories about love that take place during the holiday season. The first is about Willow. While she was excitedly getting ready to leave on a cross country train adventure during which she thought she would be getting engaged, she is instead dumped by her pompous jerk of beau of 7 years. She decides to take the trip alone and it turns out to be the best decision for many reasons. It’s a sweet lovely light romance with a wonderful HEA. Great characters and about as sweet as can be.
The second story, Pining for Me is a second chance romance. Skye has never really recovered from the way Theo broke her heart fourteen years ago when suddenly they are back in each others orbits. Will they, wont they? They are such completely different people that for me I didn’t find much of a connection with them nor did it seem plausible that they’d be together. I kept waiting for him to apologize. Also, though it was about a Christmas tree farm, it didn’t really have a holiday vibe. It was okay, but I preferred the first story.
