Voice of audiobook was easy to follow. Like the predictability of the rhyming phrases also make it engaging for children.

I received an ARC copy from NetGalley.

The book begins with the introduction of Kindness along with its meaning. What it mean to be a kind person and how one could achieve it. It would be interesting for the students to listen and reflect on the various ways of being with each other to main a balance and liberated society.

The book also has a component of an interview with Orion Jean and a interviewer. They discussed about Orion's journey and vision. How he began his path and what was his initial thoughts when he started his first step towards speaking about kindness.

It is a good book to keep it in school library and discussed in the classroom to create a space where one can share their thoughts critically. I highly recommend this book.

I loved how gentle this book was for kids to listen to and get ideas on how to be kind and helpful. It was a short book so it kept my kids attention. They didn't care for the interview of the author at the end, but I thought it was cool that they did a short interview with the kid that wrote the book.

Thank you Orion Jean and NetGalley for the ARC of this book

This is kind of hard to review. It wasn't at all what I expected. It was a short bit about kindness that I enjoyed, then launched into an interview with Orion about his kindness project. I was definitely impressed that such a young man is making the difference that he is, but this part was almost longer than the actual book that I thought I was getting. The book part was over before I even got a chance to enjoy the storyline. The author narrated it nicely though.

Race to Kindness is a wonderful picture book by TIME 2021 Kid of the Year, Orion Jean. In this book Orion encourages readers to join the kindness movement and notes that anything we do can make a difference. The audiobook is terrific. Read by the author with a question-and-answer portion and the end about his life and journey through kindness. This book will certainly be an inspiration.

Special thanks to Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to Orion Jean, NetGalley and Zonderkidz for an ARC to review.

Oh, my heart. This story is just part of an adventure that this 11-year-old child has been on. I loved the audio book because it not only told the story and had a great narrator, but also gave the background story of Orion himself and included an interview with him. The story gives ideas on how to be kind and spread kindness. It shows how important even small acts of kindness are and how they can make a big difference. As an educator myself it was encouraging to hear the Orion's journey started when one of his teachers invited him to take part in a writing contest.
As of the date of this audio book Orion has donated 100,000 meals to food insecure families and donated 500,000 copies of his book. He continues to spread happiness by volunteering and sharing his views and ideas.

"Race to Kindness" is a delightful children's book that serves as a poignant reminder for readers of all ages about the importance of kindness. Presented in the format of an alphabet book, it explores various aspects of kindness and the positive impact it can have on individuals and communities.

Orion Jean's dual roles as both author and narrator shine through in this charming book. His heartfelt narration adds depth and warmth to the text, enhancing the overall reading experience. Additionally, the inclusion of an interview with the author provides valuable insights into the inspiration behind the book and its impact on Jean personally.

I highly recommend both the paperback and audiobook versions of "Race to Kindness," as each offers a unique and enriching experience. Together, they create a perfect combination that celebrates the power of kindness and encourages readers to spread love and compassion in their daily lives.

This is a wonderful children's book that is also a good reminder for adults. The topic: Kindness. It is set in the format of an alphabet book and goes over the reasons for kindness and the types of kindness we can show one another.

Orion Jean both wrote and narrated this book and did a beautiful job of both..There is an interview with the author at the end of the book which goes over the reasons for writing this book, how it has impacted him and what he is doing now.

I fully recommend both the paperback and the audiobook as both together would be perfection.

The story's main theme is kindness and compassion. The race of kindness talks about being kind to others. The various ways by which a person can positively impact other's lives with empathy and compassion are deeply and profoundly navigated. Small acts of kindness are still the pure joy that you can surprise anyone with. It's truly a thought-provoking and sweet message conveyed in this narration.

I loved this book and I'd recommend this as a cosy, thoughtful bedtime story.

This was such a beautiful book. I love how it was all told in verse and I really enjoyed how the narrator enunciated everything. I listened to the audiobook, so I'm not sure what the illustrations look like, but the cover is beautiful, so I assume the inside illustrations are as well. I'd recommend this for children 5 to 9. I hope to one day add a physical copy of this book to my children's book collection.
