Not what I expected and kind of disappointed. Stories were predictable and kind of boring. Found myself uninterested in the characters or their stories. Had some cute comedic moments though.

This is a really enjoyable set of short stories. I loved the wide range of tropes covered- there’s something for everyone! This is also a great way to find new authors - I’m definitely interested in reading more books by some of these authors.

I also loved that there is a cute link between all the novellas too.

If you’re looking for short cozy festive reads that can be quickly read between all your festive activities this is the book for you!

A delightful read with such fun stories. They were a little fast paced because of the short length I guess. Other than that I liked all of them and on my way to find other books of the authors.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the e-book in exchange of an honest review.

This is a collection of short stories all set in a place called Cherry Creek around Christmas time. There are 6 short stories in total all written by different authors so the writing styles differ. However, they are all romance, feel good stories with an underlying hallmark theme. This is in no way a criticism as I personally believe these are the best stories to get you into that Christmas spirit. Most of the stories also have the legend of the the guaranteed happily ever after book included in the in one way or another.
I thought the length of each story was a lovely introduction to that author and perfect for when you get home from work and fancy a cuppa and a rest before you start to prep dinner.
I think this compilation would make a lovely Christmas gift for a friend who loves a bit of romance.

Once Upon a Christmas Kiss was a special book containing 6 novellas about a book written many years ago of the same title. The residents of Cherry Creek, Tennessee were all aware of the legend surrounding the book that promised that true love would come to the person that possessed it during the holiday season. Each of the novellas center around a resident and how the legendary book applies to bringing love to each of them.

This is a delightful book and I highly recommend it to be a part of your holiday reading.

I picked this up because I've read a number of Ms Knight's books and enjoyed them very much and I was looking forward to reading her contribution to this set. But I have to tell you, all of the authors in this collection have put together a delightfully entertaining set of heartwarming holiday stories. I'm so happy to have found some new authors to follow. Each one did a fantastic job with providing vivid descriptions and interesting plots. The storylines were all artfully crafted with well-defined characters and kept me hooked until I finished. I had to pace myself as I wanted to read all in one sitting! You will definitely finish it with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart (and if you're like me, maybe a little less sleep because I didn't want to stop reading!)
This is truly a gem of a collection and I am happy to have had the opportunity to read these stories. Definitely recommend!

I received a complimentary copy Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Once Upon a Christmas Kiss is a collection of holiday novellas written by several different romance authors.

Cherry Creek, Tennessee is a small town known for its Christmas romance legend. Years ago, the head master of the private school right in town documented the story of her parents romance. It was intended for her best friend with a wish that by reading the story, she would also find true love around the holidays.

The famous book who most assumed didn’t really exist and was just a small town story, was never readily found and only seemed to show up when someone needed it the most.

A wonderful collection of second chance romance, enemy to lovers and grumpy/sunshine tropes. This collection of stores is like immersing yourself in a Hallmark Christmas movie. All closed door romances a must read for the holiday season.

This is a four star read for me! The nature of the novellas means we didn’t get to dig deep into the characters. I would have read a full novel about any one of these couples!!

3.5 Stars

“To my dearest friend Charlotte. May your heart be filled with joy this Christmas season. I leave you with the long requested true love story of my parents from years ago. May it bring you the happiness and peace it has always brought to me-and maybe a love of your own. I will miss you sweet friend.
Yours Affectionately, Elizabeth Chambers”

Since Elizabeth Chambers wrote down her parents love story in 1949, she found true love during the Christmas season, as did her friend Charlotte. Since then, whomever possesses “Once Upon a Kiss” during Christmas will find true love. If any resident (or visitor) of Cherry Creek comes to find this magical book, they will see anonymous notations throughout the book of telling of the story’s ability to help the bearer find their one true love. Some people laugh off such silly ideas, whilst others are true believers in the book’s power.

“Once Upon a Christmas Kiss” is an anthology of six short stories written by six different authors all surrounding Elizabeth Chambers infamous book, all set in the picturesque town of Cherry Creek. This charming collection is a perfect read for the holiday season, especially if the reader enjoys Christmas romance stories. There are many familiar romance tropes; enemies to lovers, long lost love returned, rom-com, dual-perspective, mystery, and drama. All stories are clean romances, some with a hint of spice, but all sweet and clean.

My personal favorite story of the collection was “Once Up9on a Christmas Party” by Christy Hayes. I loved the relationships MFC Erin Collier had with all the elderly residents of the retirement community she lives in with her grandmother. The story was lighthearted, funny, and entertaining. I think Hallmark needs to option this whole anthology for their Christmas Movie season.

So, pull up a mug of your favorite hot beverage, curl up in a comfy blanket, and devour this delightful collection.

Thank you, NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

All these stories have the common thread of romance taking place in the town of Cherry Creek, Tennessee. Each story is an uplifting, sweet romance where love is sure to win in the end. There is a bit of mystery, a bit of drama, a bit humor and a bit of family involved. All have the magic of the holiday season with love being the best Christmas gift.

Once Upon a Christmas Reunion by Ciara Knight
Once Upon a Christmas Treasure By Brenda Lowder

Some are friends to forever love, others are second chances and still others are recovering from loss to find love helps to heal. Something for everyone. These are novellas which showcase an author’s writing style. Perfect to find a new favorite author or just to enjoy story by one who is already a favorite.

This book is a sweet collection of stories all taking place around Christmas time. The stories are linked by the legendary “Once Upon A Christmas Kiss” book written by the principal of the school which if you get it means you’ll find love by Christmas.

Overall I enjoyed the book but some of the stories were more to my preference than others. I will definitely be checking out other books by some of the authors. An overall piece of criticism that I have is that while I thought the mythology of the book was pretty cool, I did not understand how the book got passed around by the different MCs since the short stories seem to take place around the same time. The reason I also took away some stars is because some of the stories felt quite rushed while others did not. I believed some of the relationships more than others.

The book is a fun casual read and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who just wants to have a good bit of fun mixed with holiday cheer.

Tropes: Second chance romance, soul mates, best friend’s brother, and holiday romance
