Meh. In theory I liked the book but it was a struggle to read at times. The characters were likable but some of the drama that they went through wasn’t interesting to me

Though well written, this book ultimately wasn't for me. The thing i liked best was the cover, which isn't a good sign.

This was a great book. I connected with the characters. I felt engrossed with the plot. I would read another book by this author.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and author for the copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This should have been a hit but it felt like a flop. I’ve read better fan-fic.

This book should have been a slam dunk, but it missed the mark. It’s thinly veiled fanfic, which is fine, but the writing and plot just aren’t there to back it up. Add in some half-hearted spice, and the book struggled to capture my attention.

i do loved these types of stories. They are always filled with fun and this was so beautifully written. I need more though, its so good.

I enjoyed this story. American violinist, Lucy, meets Prince Arthur at an event in NYC. They have dinner and an accident and paparazzi pictures lead to an engagement. Little does Lucy know that back home in England the monarchy is in a bit of disarray and only her fake engagement will help calm the waters.
I like Archie and Lucy. Their chemistry was very apparent. I loved how he wanted to giver her the type of romance that she dreamed about, since that was the one thing he could give her with everything else fading away.
I didn't like that ending because we didn't get a royal wedding, but I'm hoping there may be more for this couple and we'll still get it.

Her Royal Highness is an amazing book with an interesting plot and intriguing, fun characters. Loved it!

I’m a big fan of the meet-cute trope. This book has that and so much more. I thought this book was buoyant and funny. Such a sweet and inspiring love connection Archie and Lucy have. The connection between the two of them is off the charts. I loved how they had one another’s back. Lucy is a relatable character. I’m always putting others above myself and that is how I would explain Lucy’s character. Archie is also relatable because of his selfless sacrifices for those he loves. Royal-themed stories are the best. I plan to do a re-read of this book. I will highlight the parts that I loved the most and add them to my Goodreads.
Love Always, Catherine

I almost DNF'd this but kept going because I was hoping it would eventually pick up, unfortunately, that was not the case. Maybe I just don't like Royal romances, but this read as a weird self-insert insta-love. I wanted build-up and wacky hi-jinks that come with fake engagement/marriage but It was a drama after drama. Based on the cover you can pretty much guess who the royal is the main male love interest, Archie, is based on. Also, it seems to mirror a lot of real-life drama that the royal brother seemed to have gone through.
Overall, just not my cup of tea.

Um, woah. I had heard all the talk about this book being discontinued and thought of course I have to read it. Well I honestly wish I hadn't.
This was very much just a fan fiction of PRINCE HARRY. The names the same, the way they talk , where they live, the kids names. It was like they white washed MM, but kept the whole backstory. There was no build up to the love, insta-love and then insta STEAM.
Wasn't what I was looking for, wouldn't try this author again.

Full disclosure- I did not realize there was controversy about this book before reading it, but I can understand why for part of it.
I liked the premise of the book but I really did not think it measured up to the potential of the story. It is a bit fan fiction-y = what if Harry was able to be king instead and i guess like happily ever after with Megan but there was just so much instant love and not enough getting to know each other. The story was both rushed and long at the same time. I am more interested in Andrew and his story.

This book was just “meh” for me. I felt like I was reading it because I had to finish it instead of reading it because I wanted to finish it. I can’t quite put my finger on what it was.

This was a really cute book that was entertaining. I enjoyed it and I really liked the writing style.
I just reviewed Her Royal Highness by AJ Arnault. #RoyaltyRomance #NetGalley

I know it wasn’t the author’s intention but it was hilarious for me, however I enjoyed the story and I had a good time

The book Her Royal Highness was an enjoyable read. I would recommend any book written by AJ Arnault. Happy Reading!

You gotta love a good royal romance read. This story had a good balance of fairytale but not too much cheesiness. I enjoyed how the main characters banter and the growth in their relationship. Plus, with the family drama and the spicy scenes- this read keeps you interested.

I am reviewing this book although I am aware the author will no longer be publishing this book.
This book was very enjoyable. I liked the storyline and how it was explored but there were just a few more changes that needed to be made to make this story less like a Harry and Megan fan fiction and more a story in its own right.

I know there have been issues posted about this book and the cover and I know the author has pulled it from stores, but I quite enjoyed the story. I love a good royal retelling, although I must admit that I wish the authors would write these books with just a bit more differences between their stories and the real-life royal family in Great Britain. This story was so similar, right down to the red-headed and bearded second prince who courts and marries an American of whom the Queen mother does not approve. There were, of course, several changes, but I would love it more if the authors created a whole new premise to the royal setting. Either way, I enjoyed this story and hope the author re-releases it and finishes the sequel.

I reaaaaally wanted to like this book because I'm obsessed with royal love stories, especially in this case with the added latina factor since I'm latina myself, and while the book has some great things going for it, ultimately I didn't love it.
I'll start with what I liked: the spiciness of the story and some scenes in the book, reaaaally liked those!
The way it's written is also great to follow along what is happening where and who's doing what at all times, so it's pretty descriptive.
There are some great characters like Molly, Alexandra and Ollie and I kind of wish they were more a part of the main story than just side characters that were barely mentioned.
Now to what I didn't like: the two main characters. Reading through the book and the majority of their dialogue, caused me anxiety, like kudos to AJ Arnault in how it was written cause the emotion was conveyed, but I was really stressed reading some of the parts I couldn't really enjoy it too much and just wanted to move on and get it over with. Their reaction to things and way of handling stuff just was way too much for me.
The ending was nice, I kind of wish they extended the happy part a bit more than just the struggling, especially the main issue they had almost at the end, I felt like it was rushed through, whereas other parts of the book I could've done without.
All in all, the story was enjoyable, it was just for me personally the main characters I couldn't deal with, for that reason I'm giving it a 3/5 instead of a 4.
