With the majority of the story taking place after Christmas I really wouldn't classify this as a Christmas one. Friends who have drifted apart with the changes in life are back together on a cruise. With so many changes in life do they really know each other anymore. I didn't see a strong storyline or romance. Not a favorite by the author.

This is a book that is so quick and easy to read. Four friends, Christmas, fun. But for me it is a slow burn/read so I was glad it was a short read. But all in all it was a fun, entertaining and enjoyable book to read.

I liked the four friends and their friendship over the years, I liked the premise of the story and found it rather endearing. Love the setting and the descriptions as it made me feel as if I was there. I didn't know it was part of a series but that didn't seem to affect my reading of this one. 3 1/2 stars from me.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I ended up really not enjoying the characters or concepts of Santa Cruise, so I couldn't get myself to pick up the story the next year. This one is a bummer for me, I usually enjoy Fern Michaels! But alas, this is not the series for me.

Great story of Christmas and a feel good story line. With Santa involved you can go wrong.Friens get togther fir a singles cruise and deepens their bond!! Unexpected bumps in the turns to be the best thing that ever happen to Frankie.

I absolutely love Fern Michaels. She tells such a nice story. I wish this book was longer.

Get ready to set sail on a new aventure and not wanting to be missed. I was happy to see this is book one but unhappy that I probably have to long for the next one.

I wasn’t as Enamored with this round of the four friends frolics as I was with them on the cruise.
The book was a slow ho hum start.
I thought the blue Kia thing and Racheal pulling a surprise were just odd and didn’t really fit within the context of the story.
I did like the makeover part and the references to music and artists I love.
The Grizzly Adams analogy was funny.
Somehow, though, this book didn’t live up to the previous one.

This story started out slow for me and took a little while to get to the trip that these ladies were planning on taking together. Unlike the cruise that they had gone on previously with their significant others, this trip was just going to be the ladies. Some of the significant others were not too fond of this just being a ladies trip but they finally conceded to it.

All four of the ladies had been invited but it was only for certain that three were showing up. Frankie and Rachael had been at odds with each other and were being a bit petty with each other. When the ladies end up at the hotel together, only three of them are in the same room at first, but Rachael is at the hotel. She leaves these elves outside of the other girls room and they immediately know that Rachael has to be somewhere close. When all of the girls get together finally, they all have different things that they want to do during the day. They want to meet back up for dinner and be together in the hot tub some.

When Frankie takes up snowshoeing and heads out on her own the second day she is there, she ends up twisting her ankle and is rescued by one of the locals and his dog. The locals actually think of Troy as the local GrizzlyAdams lookalike. Troy doesn't go into town much and stays to himself. Frankie is just thankful that he found her and can help her get back to the hotel. In the meantime, the other ladies are waiting for Frankie to meet the for lunch and when she doesn't show up, they immediately started looking for her. They even called her boyfriend and he got the other significant others and borrowed a private jet to get to where the ladies were to help look for Frankie. Of course Frankie is located in the meantime of the guys being on their way there and end up just being there and enjoying a few days at the getaway with the ladies. So, in the end the guys got to go with the ladies, but not under the circumstances they would have liked.

I thought that this was an easy read but I am not sure where the title came from. I would have liked to have more Christmas in the plot as well. Not saying that I did not enjoy this read, just would have liked to have more Christmas in the plot.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own. Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an advanced copy of this book. I hope you enjoy it as I did.

Santa and Company by Fern Michaels is the second book in the Santa’s Crew Series. This is a nice holiday read. Four friends get together to enjoy each other’s company and what the ski lodge offers. Throughout the book, the reader realizes the characters are individuals with their own problems and idiosyncrasies.

Relationships and their ups and downs are an important part of the book. Although the women are very close, they each have their moments just like the average person.

One part of the book has the inexperienced Frankie going snowboarding alone. How difficult could it be? She has her phone. But, things do not go as expected. She tries to take her gloves off and her phone glides through the air. Then, she topples over hurting her ankle. A beautiful wolf (actually a malamute named Duke) finds her. Duke’s owner is right behind him. Is she rescued?

The author does a great job describing the lodge and the surrounding area. I could feel the cold as Frankie lay on the snow. I could also picture the lobby of the lodge with the decorated trees and the warmth of the fireplace.

As with all of Fern Michael’s books, I enjoyed this one immensely and can’t wait for the next adventure.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity of reading this ARC for free.

Thank you for the free ARC of Santa and Co from Netgalley.

This was a cute quick feel good read. A group of girlfriends going on vacation and the shenanigans they encounter. Perfect holiday cozy book.

Four unlikely friends meet for a holiday getaway that is meant to redeem a disastrous cruise they'd taken prior. Four such very different characters, I had a hard time picturing them as friends, but Fern wove them together and the story is a simple and sweet holiday read. Enjoyable, but not unputdownable.

I just finished reading Fern Michael’s Santa & Company. This is the 1st holiday themed book I have read by Ms. Michaels.

This was pretty light reading. Group of friends who have known each other go on Tahoe getaway.

There is a lot going on her: stalker, friends showing up out of nowhere, lots of food descriptions because of the chef, tense situations..

Lots of stuff that has this book a little all over the place but somehow comes together like a Christmas package.

I did receive this from NetGalley but it was archived before I could read and fortunately for me I was able to get the title again so taking the opportunity to publish an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is the perfect quick read for the upcoming holiday season. The four friends are well crafted and relatable. While part of a series, this could stand alone. I enjoyed that the story is told from the various POVs. I've never been to Lake Tahoe, but the descriptions make me feel like I have. While there are a few moments that seem a bit corny, the book is a nice way to escape for a short period of time.

This is the second book in the Santa's crew series. It is a pleasurable read but really has nothing to do with Christmas. It is nice to see four friends re-unite again and see that like most people they have issues with each other but they do manage to work it all out. A quick, enjoyable read.

I didn't realize that this is the second book in the series, but that was fine as it stands alone and the author gives us enough background to appreciate the story. I'm not usually a Christmas book reader, but I like to explore new offerings each season. This was a fun and engaging read and perfectly enjoying with a good dose of the requisite holiday feeling. If it wasn't a Christmas book it would be a perfect beach book. Christmas on a beach, anyone?

Thank you to NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. Very sweet!

I've tried several times to read Fern Michaels and this one actually kept me interested. I love Christmas!

What’s better than friends who spend the holidays together? Friends who have known each other for decades, who are there for each other through think and thin, who sometimes have blind spots, who sometimes are shortsighted…

Oh, wait… So at least one friend may not make it to this year’s New Year celebration, but if she does there may be mischief and miscommunication. But is that all that’s happening?

You have to live Fern Michael’s storytelling, this one just embodies the holiday season.
