I wanted to like this book as I am a sucker for Christmas novels. I just couldn’t get into it. There were so many details that reading it became confusing. Those details didn’t add to the story and didn’t develop the characters. It required a lot of concentration to figure out what was fluff and what was important to the story. The friends don’t leave for Lake Tahoe until you’re already 25% into the book. The big climax of Frankie getting lost was over as quickly as it started. There was a missed opportunity to really give the novel some substance here. Unfortunately, not a novel I’d recommend.

Fern Michaels' Santa & Company is a heartwarming and delightful holiday read that captures the essence of friendship and the magic of the holiday season. The story revolves around four lifelong friends, Amy, Frankie, Rachael, and Nina, who reunite for a Christmas ski trip filled with laughter, romance, and unexpected adventures in Lake Tahoe. Michaels masterfully gives each character a distinct voice through multiple points of view, allowing readers to connect deeply with their individual journeys. While the mystery woven into the plot may not be overly challenging, it adds intrigue to the narrative. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Tahoe, this second installment in the series stands alone beautifully and serves as a reminder that the holiday season is a time for new beginnings and cherishing the bonds of friendship. Santa & Company is a cozy and heartwarming tale that will leave readers with a smile and a warm heart.

Tis the season for holiday books!

Santa & Company is an enjoyable quick read about four friends who reunite between Christmas and New Year in Lake Tahoe. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone as there were chapters from all their points-of-view.

Santa & Company was a light fun read about their adventures in Lake Tahoe. The descriptions of Lake Tahoe were fabulous and definitely a place I’d like to visit.

An entertaining read with some romance, humor, drama and a bit of mystery. The characters are realistic and keep the story moving quickly.

Grab the hot cocoa and enjoy this fun holiday read about friendship.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for the eARC I received in exchange for my honest opinion.

Fern Michaels, once again, does not disappoint the reader. Santa and Company is a wonderful story about friendships and relationships. Frankie, Nina, Amy and Rachel are friends who reconnected in the Santa Cruise book and their story continues in Santa and Company. Unfortunately, I haven't read Santa Cruise, but I will now that I have met these intriguing women. Fern Michaels gives enough details at the beginning of the book to help the reader understand the characters and move right into this new novel. These women are bright, hard-working and caring people who know how to have fun. The men in their lives show up immediately when they fear Frankie has been hurt and is now lost. They add to the storyline and show their kindness to others and willingness to help out. I recommend this book highly. It has many lessons to be learned and it just an overall great story.

I read this novel and it helped me get into the holiday mood a little early. Four friends take a skiing trip and one ventures forth to go snowshoeing. Until she hurts her ankle.

Enter....romance...in the form of a man who helps get the injured woman back to the others.

Light hearted with a dash of mystery, friendship, romance and holiday season -- I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book

A light Christmas themed read about four friends and a second chance romance. This isn't deep, it's a tad trope-y but it's perfect for a lazy afternoon . Thanks to netgalley for the ARC,
