La Nora is comfort for me. I was hitting a slump and this book saved me from sliding in. This has the perfect amount of paranormal and trauma without it overwhelming the story at the heart.
I loved the setting and the family and the way they thrive after such a devastation. Thea is strong and slightly knicked but determined. Ty is the perfect foil with his adorable son and not so trusting soul.
The balance of romance and thriller is just what I wanted.

When you fall in love with characters you’re reading a book by Nora Roberts. When you think of the development of a family Nora Roberts knows how to do it. When there is a plot to drive you to nonstep reading devouring the story, Nora Roberts has once again excelled. Mind Games is added to my list of favorite novels by Roberts, and to my list of all time favorites. The characterization of Thea, Lucy, and Rem Fox is heartwarming as individuals and as a wonderful family unit. They move on with their lives after their tragic loss, growing, and moving forward in a positive way strong as a unit and as individuals. The Appalachian setting adds so much to the story, you feel like you are there watching the plot develop. Adding in the paranormal and second sight and Thea’s ongoing battle with the man who upended their lives, adds the suspense to move the story and bring it to a battle of minds ending. Thank you St. Martin’s Press and Net Galley for the ARC.

I really loved this book, Mind Games and it is exactly as the title says. Every June Thea and Rem spend 2 weeks with their Grammie .Their parents take them ,stay for a short while and then head back to Virginia. A few nights later, Thea and Grammie are awakened to the same nightmare. Thea sees the whole thing . Grammie's is the same thing but not quite as strong,. Grammie calls the sheriff and Thea tells him the whole story. He calls the authorities in Virginia , they check it out and find it to be true. Thus the story begins and it is a page turner. A GREAT READ.

I say this time and again and will do it once more, Nora Roberts cam write a hell of a book.

This book was not only heartbreaking, it was heart warming.

Mind Games was equal slices mystery thriller, and romance. It had this interesting topping of psychic abilities and a battle of will.

The scenery, food descriptions, the intricate family bonds were beautifully written. I loved all the characters from "the ladies" to the actual humans.

Quick read, not very light hearted at times. This book will keep you turning the page. Please check any content warnings before reading.

I just reviewed Mind Games by Nora Roberts. #NetGalley

Nora Roberts does it again!!!
This book sucked me in from the beginning. I could not get enough and did not want it to end. It was a different type of story than I have read from her before. One thing I really liked about it was that we got to follow the 2 main characters from the time they were children up to through their 30's. It was great to watch the story play out over all of that time and see how they built great lives despite the terrible thing that happened when they were young.
If you are looking for a great book to read, pick this one up. You will be glad you did !

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC.

Nora Roberts.....Mind Games.....HOLEY MOLEY!!! Anyone who is a Nora Roberts fan knows that she's going to mess with you a little bit. She's going to throw in a few plot twists, a couple of bad characters and a hot romance. It all seems very predictable. But Roberts is never predictable. I can't fathom a mind that works like hers. Mind Games is the perfect title for the book because it will mess with your mind. Throw in video games, a teen heartthrob and a beautiful mountain setting and you will read this book well into the night. One other thing about Nora Roberts writing is her beautiful choice of words to describe the surroundings. I am there in the beautiful mountains of Kentucky and listening to music from the sexy neighbors. On top of that the anxiety that she uses to build up the inevitable confrontation with the evil that lurks on every page is crazy. The conversations between the characters seem so normal. But you know something is coming. And it's not going to be good!
I voluntarily received a copy of this book from Netgalley.

Initially, I was a little apprehensive about a protagonist who has visions. But Nora handles it so well, mixing her contemporary romance with some supernatural thriller elements. The supernatural, while there, never overwhelms the heart of the story.

Family and home are at the core of this story and made it feel like a cozy cup of tea. The connection between the Fox family is solid and Nora writes a matriarch you'd want in your corner.

Romance wise, it's a rockstar star/single dad romance. Which if it's your jam, I'd recommend. It’s a lot of things, but it balances it all out. Like a handful of Nora thrillers in the past, you watch the protagonist grow up from child to adult. It takes until she is an adult to introduce the romance. It was well worth the wait. My only bump was that I wish we had a bit of her love interests story weaved in early on.

Thank you, St. Martin's Press, for an advanced reader's copy.

Mind Games by Nora Roberts
I don't know how Nora does it but she grabs me and keep in the story until the end. The family, the feelings, the love, laughter, tears, horror, add in the "mind games". Thea and Ty are wonderful and so are the rest of the family, the boy, the dog and friends. I am just saying if you like Nora Roberts you will love this book.

I don’t know how Nora Roberts continues to come up with amazing plots and such likable characters. Mind Games features a psychic cat-and-mouse game between a young woman and her parents’ murderer. Yet it is still a highly satisfying romance. I had not read a Nora Roberts novel in quite a while and, after reading Mind Games, I have been asking myself: why?

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding story. While Thea and Rem are staying with their grandmother, Lucy, Thea dreams in detail the murder of her parents. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of suspense and romance, and a must read riveting story by the phenomenally amazing author Nora Roberts.

Thea has a special ability passed down through her mother’s lineage. Her psychic ability allows her to connect with the serial killer that took her parents life as a young girl. The story begins as she settles in her grandmother’s home town to carry on with life after a huge loss. Thea becomes a celebrated video game creator and uses her ability to find missing children and toys. Thea and her brother Rem build a world of safety far away from the horrors of their childhood home. Thea falls for Ty, a musician who struggles accepting Thea’s gift. The meat of the story is Thea’s constant connection with her parent’s murder and the ways she uses the connection to create a world that he cannot escape mental while physically in jail. I was hoping this book would be more of a thriller and less of a romance, but Nora Roberts is true to her brand.

Thea has a gift, she can see where others are and how they feel. All of the women in her family have this trait but hers is stronger. One day she sees what no child ever should and watches her parents murder, but because of her gift, he gets caught and sentenced to life in prison. She can never quite leave him alone and that forms a mind connection between them. Thea continues to grow up and deal with the consequences of being different but she finds her place and ends up back home in Kentucky with her remaining family and the life she has built. Her connection to her parents' murderer continues to grow and she has to find a way to end it.

Roberts expertly weaves the paranormal into a contemporary story in a way that very few people can. The reader can see the mountains and the dirt roads of rural Kentucky. Throughout the story, Thea lives a regular life but she can see beyond what everyone else can. This story is one of hope and acceptance for who we are. It shows the importance of love and the strength that love gives you.

I am a big Nora Roberts fan and look forward every year to seeing a new book from her! I was so excited to get this ARC! Love the family connection and seeing the generations of family story. The gift of seeing into others minds was kind of criminal mindish and while reading it i could feel some goosebumps. I loved this book and highly recommend it. I even look forward to re-reading it down the road! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for a review.

As an avid reader and dedicated fan of Nora Roberts, I had the unique opportunity as an ARC reader to delve into "Mind Games" and it was a thrilling experience that left me utterly captivated. Roberts, with her trademark storytelling prowess, weaves a tale of suspense, tragedy, and the enduring power of family bonds that kept me eagerly turning the pages from beginning to end.

From the picturesque backdrop of Appalachia to the intricately drawn characters, Roberts effortlessly transports you into the heart of the story. The Fox family's annual pilgrimage to their grandmother's home sets the stage for a gripping narrative that unfolds with a sense of foreboding from the very first page.

What I love most about her novels is her ability to craft multifaceted characters who feel like old friends, and "Mind Games" is no exception. Thea and her grandmother Lucy leap off the page with their shared gift of sight, adding an element of mystique to an already compelling story. As Thea navigates the complexities of her abilities and grapples with the weight of her past, I found myself drawn deeper into her journey, rooting for her every step of the way. It's as if you are walking beside her on her journey.

The cat-and-mouse game between Thea and the inmate who shattered her childhood is masterfully executed, building tension with each twist and turn. Roberts skillfully ratchets up the stakes, which kept me on the edge of my seat as the inevitable showdown between the two drew nearer.

Overall, "Mind Games" is a testament to Nora Roberts' storytelling prowess, delivering a gripping tale that will linger in the mind long after the final page is turned. Fans of suspense, romance, and family drama alike will find much to love in this compelling novel. This is fantastically written, draws you into the story, and you are drawn into a totally different world. Awesome read. Thank you

The latest thriller from Nora Roberts is, quite simply, one of her best yet. Mind Games tells the tale of Thea, from 12 years old when her parents are murdered, and she and her brother come to live with their Grammie, Lucy, in Eastern Kentucky, to the present day. Through twists and turns, not only physical and emotional but also mental and psychical, With her loved ones by her side, Thea encounters, challenges, and finally confronts her parents' killer. But who will prevail and overcome the ultimate 'Mind Game' in the end?

Roberts proves herself to be a master storyteller once again -- a true 5-star recommendation!

I’m trying to recall if I’ve ever cried while reading a Nora Roberts book before, and I’m 99% certain the answer is no. Needless to say, I was shocked to find myself tearing up during Part I. Guh. Ms. Roberts knows EXACTLY what she’s doing to pull the exact emotion she wants out of her readers. This is a really great psychological familial drama, with a touch of “other”, and a love interest I honestly did not expect. Definitely the best NR book I’ve read in years.

I received a copy of this book from St. Martin’s Griffin.
