Nora Roberts is a master craftswoman with words and this was another story that took us on a suspenseful journey of emotions. What should've been a normal summer visit turned into a lifetime of adventure. Through the trials and ups and downs, we follow Thea as she struggles to fight the good fight and overpower a dominant force. We see her grow into a strong woman who can triumph over the evil that took her family.

Thea and her brother are excited to be spending some summer time with their grandmother in Kentucky. Their parents are killed shortly after arriving back home in Virginia. Thea has visions and she saw what happened to them. There’s a dark tone to the evil that happened and the dark things that Thea sees. But at the same time, Thea and her brother are living in the rural area with their grandmother. They will now grow up there, but thoughts of their parents’ killer will remain in Thea’s mind.

This story is masterfully woven with themes of love, grief, and resilience.
This story takes place in the Appalachian region which adds a rich, atmospheric feel to it .
Overall, Mind Games is a gripping and emotionally story. With a mix of romance and supernatural suspense.
Nora Roberts fans with love it .

I haven't read a Nora Roberts book in quite some time, and I must say I really miss reading her books.
This was such a great read. It was a story about family, some psychic abilities, and part mystery all rolled into one. The story was original and I liked it. Great character development and back story of all the characters. The main characters were Thea, her brother, and their Grammy Lucy. The loss of parents, and living with Grammy in Kentucky. The story was well thought out and very detailed. At first I wanted to fast forward because it was so detailed but I really appreciated the whole story and that it was so detailed. The only thing I did not ;like was all the foul language and too much detail/gore about the murder. I don't know why authors continue to do this, but it really turns me off from reading these days. It's like it's a common thing for English and it's not!
I purchased the audio version of this book so when I could;n't read, I could listen while a worked. January LaVoy did an excellent job as narrator.
I big thank you to St. Martin's Press via NetGalley for the Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest review.

I have read Nora Roberts books for such a long time and I just love her and her books. Mind Games was such a great book about family, love, loss and throw in a little Psychic power. What an amazing story. This was such a rollercoaster emotional read that I just could not put down. Very captivating and enjoyable. This is one you really must read! Thank you Net Galley!

Special thanks to St. Martin's Press and Nora Roberts for an e-arc of this novel.
This is a romantic suspense novel with a little bit of paranormal. I did not find the romance to be a central part of this book as the romantic interest doesn't come into play for awhile. So there wasn't much of a foundation for romance in my opinion.
I found the book okay, but find I enjoyed her fantasy series a lot better. If you are a staunch Nora Roberts novel lover, y0u will probably enjoy it more than I did.

Nora Roberts does it again! I had fallen out of “instant buy” love with Nora a while ago, taking my time to get to her new releases, but this might’ve ended the streak. Thea had to deal with so much! Mind Games is a great combination of all the best parts of Roberts’ work- thrilling, empathetic, supernatural, passionate. Just be patient and let Roberts work her magic.

I liked the premise and idea of this book. The first third was very interesting but the second third felt long and I easily lost interest. I just couldn’t invest myself into the story.

Mind Games is a suspenful novel of tragedy, trauma, love, family and the evil that awaits. In June the Foxes drive the roads to Appalachia to drop off their two kids Thea and Rem so they can vist their grandmother Lucy's house for two weeks while the Foxes head back to Virgina for peace and quiet. What happens when Thea and Lucy both wake up to the same nightmare especially since they share a special gift? Thea and Lucy have never discussed this special gift either but sadly they both know something terrible happened. This was another romantic suspense thriller that had me turning pages untill the very end. I loved all the characters in this book but especially Thea. This book had all the feels and I know this book will be one I think about way after it's finished. I loved this book and would highly recommend this book to any reader but especially to those who love romantic suspense or suspense. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this amazing read in exchange of my honest review of Mind Games by Nora Roberts.

Mind Games by Nora Roberts masterfully combines suspense, romance, and supernatural elements. Thea, scarred by the trauma of witnessing her parents’ brutal murders through her psychic gift, has lived under a constant threat from the murderer, Riggs, who continues to torment her by invading her mind. In the midst of this turmoil, Ty, a rock star looking to settle down and provide stability for his son, enters Thea’s life, offering a glimmer of hope and love. Their romance is both tender and complex, enriched by trust issues as they navigate their pasts and the persistent danger posed by Riggs.
As expected, Nora Roberts delivers a story that balances heart-pounding suspense with the warmth of deep emotional connections. The tension keeps you hooked, while the blossoming love between Thea and Ty provides a comforting counterbalance. Mind Games is a must-read for Roberts fans and a comforting reminder of why she continues to be a beloved author.

Wow! What an absolutely unique story! I have to say MIND GAMES is the perfect title because this book was MIND BLOWING!! I absolutely loved the intricacies and details… the way it all tied and weaved… how we were able to span from Thea being twelve to being in her thirties without it feeling like “too much”… there’s a reason Nora Roberts is a household name of an author!! I only wish I could go back and read this again for the first time.

A beginning that grabs you and pulls you in - all the while wanting to put the book down for it's creepy/evil character. Strong family, loyalty during tragic loss make this an unputdownable book. Nora Roberts does not disappoint.

I enjoy Nora Robert’s romantic thrillers. This one has an extra touch of suspense given the main female characters telepathic connection to the killer. The well-thought out plot will keep readers turning pages past their bedtime. My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for sharing an advance digital copy.

She can read minds. So can the man who killed her parents. Who controls the gift? Who controls the game?
I loved this book! The characters were absolutely fantastic and the author was able to develop them in such a way that it was easy to feel attached to them and want to read more. I loved the relationships amongst the family, especially the kids with their grandmother. Reading about their time together was so sweet and made me think how lucky my kids are to have their grandparents live next door and spend time together. The supernatural and psychic themes pulled me in because they fascinate me anyway. I truly believe that they exist and that they can be hereditary. I, too, have had multiple dreams come true, but I am so relieved to say not in the same way as they did for poor Thea. My heart ached for her and all that she went through. The author told her story so well! It was intriguing to read about Thea and the killer, and how they were able to use their powers. The confrontation with the killer was intense and I was so emotional during all of it! The book also had some romance, and a lot of heartwarming storylines, too. This was such a great book!

Every summer the Foxes take their two children,Thea and Rem, to stay for a couple weeks with Grammie who lives in rural Appalachian Virginia. There can run around the farm and have fresh air. They look forward to Grammie's fresh bread and the scent of her homemade candles. Now that Thea is twelve she can help even more.
This idyllic time is cut very short. Grammie and Thea both have a horrific nightmare that Thea's parents are brutally murdered in their home. Thea and her Grammie both have a special sight even though they've not discussed it before. Thea is able to see through the killer's eyes exactly what happened to her beloved parents.
Thea is able to help las enforcement nab the serial killer and he will spend the rest of his life in prison, The scary thing is Thea finds out that the killer has a certain amount of special sight, too.
The children live and grow up in Redbud Hollow with Grammie. Thea and Rem are able to make a life for themselves. Thea is still haunted by her parents' killer. Her gift is often a curse as she tries to find love and lead a normal life.
Nora Roberts is the ultimate storyteller. In Mind Games she weaves in suspense, family and love to make a truly engaging story. The paranormal element seems authentic even it may not exist is our own lives. The setting comes alive with vivid descriptions. I could almost smell the fresh bread and candles.
Grammie Lucy has held up to tragedy and is a strong loving woman. Her grandchildren always come first. Thea has to deal with loss, growing up and dealing with her gift which often seems like a curse. Rem has to deal with many issues, too, but the author shows him as resilient and smart.
Yes, the killer is pure evil. It is unfortunately believable that someone like him exists. You only have to watch the news to see his kind live among us.
I promise you will be pulled into this novel from the very beginning. It's a little longer than some, but so engaging that the pages fly by. I have read many novels by Nora Roberts, but will never catch up with her prolific writing. I will try to stay caught up with her newer works and try as many as possible from her backlist.

If you like romantic suspense you will definitely want to add this book to your TBR. Nora Robert’s writes such compelling characters and pairs them with a plot that keeps you on your toes. And Mind Games did not disappoint!

"Mind Games" by Nora Roberts is a thrilling romantic suspense novel that will keep you guessing until the very end. The story follows a group of psychic investigators who use their unique abilities to solve crimes and catch criminals. The characters are well-developed and the plot is fast-paced, making it a captivating read. With a perfect blend of romance, suspense, and paranormal elements, "Mind Games" is a page-turner that will leave you wanting more. Overall, it is a highly recommended read for fans of Nora Roberts and the romantic suspense genre.

I loved this book! I have to say I love everything by this author though. If you you love romantic suspense then this book is for you! I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves this author! It didn’t disappoint!

I really enjoyed it. It was sad and exciting, everything I love about Nora Roberts books. It does include both childhood and adulthood story that could almost be two books in one. But it set up the story so well that I had a hard time putting it down.
5 stars

This is going to be a fairly short review. If you love, or even like, Nora Roberts, you’ll love/like this one. It very much follows Nora’s formula for storytelling which works for me.
Thea Fox has psychic abilities that allowed her to “witness” her parents murder when she was 12 years old. She was able to identify their killer. But he, too, is a psychic and this connection will haunt them both for years to come.
Ty Brennan is a former boy band singer. He’s now Thea’s neighbor having inherited his grandmother’s house which is next door to Thea’s. He and his little boy quickly become part of Thea’s close knit family.
And oh yeah, Thea designs video games.
I just enjoyed the heck out of this book! Again, it follows Nora’s formula. However this one is very slow to get to the romance-Ty doesn’t even show up until about halfway through, then takes his time to make a move on Thea. But it’s worth the wait!
Thank you to #netgalley and #stmartinspress for the advanced copy of #mindgames . This book published May 21, 2024 and is available where books are sold.
