Grace's book was a breath of fresh air. This was the first book on medieval Christianity that did not put me to sleep. Instead, it made me think and listen. Grace is a gifted storyteller and writer, and I cannot wait to see what comes next from her.

This is an amazing book. It is well-researched, well-written, scholarly yet very readable, academic and also deeply inspiring for anyone looking to understand better or deepen their faith. For anyone interested in Christology, medieval art and culture or Christian spirituality, I would recommend this book.
