Interesting story as I did not know much of Lime Disease.

Written with love and a painful matter. Book could have moved at a faster pace, but overall this is a 3.5 stars.

I do admit, I felt inspire, which is what kept me reading.

I felt a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this book. From the fact that Rachel wasn't properly diagnosed at first, to professionals claiming she was faking her systoms, while dealing with so much pain, bullying, frustration, sadness, anxiety and uncertainty about her future. Also, from her mother's, Dorothy, perspective, struggles, all the research she did on her own, and the tribe of friends that were by their side all the time. To see her slow but succesful recovery to the healthy person she has become by never giving up to show others that recovery from this awful, and sometimes misunderstood, illness is possible. Kudos to these wonderful, brave, and resilient women!

I found this to be a very open and honest book on what Rachel and her mother experienced going through this horrible disease. I personally do not know anyone who has had it but it sounds incredibly debilitating. How a young person managed through this is nothing short of miraculous. Anyone who has this disease or knows of someone going through it needs to read it. Even if you don't - read it - it will definitely make you stronger knowing this young woman.

Thank you to NetGalley, the authors and publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion. I have requested Goodreads to list it but to date they have not posted. When they do I will post my review there. Thank you.

Bravo to Rachel and her mother for being brave and sharing this story! I was inspired and encouraged by their words. Medical emergencies as a young person are never easy but the way this duo navigated the unknown was truly astounding. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Five stars.
