A fast-paced read with a lot of twists and turns that kept me interested until the very end. A well-known news anchor's adopted son goes missing from Central Park. Could it have been related to threats the news anchor received a couple years back after putting some right-wing conspiracy folks under a microscope during her interview with her? The investigation yields many unexpected twists. The characters were a bit frustrating at times with how stubborn they were, especially when the reader could put together most of the story before they could. Nonetheless, a good and fast read.

This is the third or fourth novel I've read from the author, and I've come to expect an entertaining, well-plotted story. This didn't disappoint. Several distinct story lines intertwined through the tale, and while I don't think they were all resolved successfully, there was enough resolution for me to be satisfied. Solid, if unspectacular offering, with pretty fleshed-out characters who were realistic.

Ok first I hate the idea of missing children but man when the plot is this good its amazing. I loved this book it felt like a movie and tbh i really hope it does get picked up for a script maybe for a tv show I think that would work really well. I will say sometimes the story was a little slow but I know that was to establish the storyline.

I found it really interesting that it was a news reporter who's son went missing. I think in books ive read before its always been a random housewife. Having it be a person in the public eye changed a lot. I loved this book and I may have to buy it because I love the cover.

This new-to-me author examines a parent’s worst nightmare - a missing child. It’s intense, heart-wrenching, harrowing, and full of secrets and mistrust; everything you’d expect it to be…in spades! Mofina singlehandedly put himself on my auto-read list.

I could feel the exasperation as Corina Corado’s life was turned upside down. She’s used to being one half of a power couple, in control and able to throw money at anything she can’t fix herself. This time it’s different. Really different. She’s used to being on the other side of an investigation as a journalist, now she has to sit back and ‘do nothing.’ It’s not easy for someone who likes to have control. Mofina was able to make me feel the panic and paranoia. What a week!

The plot was well organized and the main focus on the investigation meant that I was put on full alert looking for motives and perpetrators. Mofina ramped up the tension with the inclusion of threatening messages, hate mail and conspiracy theories. The mystery was fuelled with the revelation of the Corado’s hidden secrets. I truly felt the clock ticking, the race against time, as all resources were pulled to find six-year-old Gabriel Corado. Central Park is vast and time is tunning out - Mofina made sure I felt the pressure, too.

The examination of family dynamics and the pressure of a missing child was executed perfectly. I did struggle with the large cast of characters and the pacing, but I’d already been hooked and was willing to bear with it. This is just a personal preference and has no bearing on the quality of the author’s work.

I will be on the lookout for another pacey read by this author!

Someone Saw Something is the first Rick Mofina book I've read.

The story starts when the child of an affluent couple is kidnapped from Central Park as he is being watched by his older sister. The family reacts instantly and the investigation begins. There are many many suspects and all angles were believable. The story has many flashbacks and story angles.

I liked all the characters in the story, especially Corina. I found her very strong, especially in dealing with all the "haters" she encountered during her career.

I felt this book had more of a focus on the investigation, which is not usually the type of book I read. I enjoyed it but was more drawn to the parts involving family drama.

This was a fast-paced read and quite good. The ending was interesting and left me satisfied. I give this book 3.5 stars.

There were a few times I wanted to skip
pages in order to leave out what I thought was unnecessary story- telling but each time I got ready to skip ahead I’m glad I didnt’t! Truly loved the imagery given throughout the story and the entire storyline as well what a true whirlwind!

I have read a few books by Rick Mofina and have definitely enjoyed his suspenseful writing style, however this book missed the mark just a little for me.
Corina a successful journalist is married to her equally successful husband, Robert. She also has a step daughter, Charlotte and a 6 year old son, Gabriel. A beautiful career, family, and life … what could go wrong?! Well … a lot! One day Gabriel goes missing from Central Park and suddenly Corina and her family are the focus of the news!
This book moves through the search to find Gabriel in a seven day period exploring different aspects of the family’s lives. This has all the makings for a solid thriller, but there were SO many added small characters and details it became confusing and took away from the central storyline of the book. It also moved at a slow pace and took forever to get to the reveal.
I would still give this book a read and form your own opinion because the message is important.

This is my first Mofina book. Sadly, the writing was all over the place. There were too many characters and unnecessary details, so it was hard to feel a connection with any of them. The pace was too slow with minimal action. It was difficult to stay engaged.

Wow. This book left me speechless. It was my first by Rick Mofina but it certainly won't be the last. This is the kind of book that makes you want to binge an author's entire list of books they've ever written. It was just that good.

This is one of the best books I've read all year.

Their young son is kidnapped and their lives - past and present- are on display and they are desperate to find their child.
This book moves thru 7 days and has plenty of twists as the police and media tell the life stories of this family and their desperation to find out where their child is and if he is even alive.
Lots of characters to keep track of which was for me a source of confusion.

Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! Great book! This book had a bit of everything! It had High suspense, Action, intrigue, mystery, murder, revenge, child abduction, conspiracy activists, a great who done it, great plot twist, great police work, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle!! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

This was an unexpected delight! I haven't read Rick before , I enjoyed the pace of the book, the storyline and the characters, it was the perfect surprise with a bow on top! I was all in within the first few chapters and had to binge it . Couldn't read this one fast enough. Brilliant weave of a story that kept me guessing. 4 stars

This is the third book I have read by the author and I found it to be fast paced and hard to put down, especially the last half. We follow Corina, her husband and their two children, one of whom is kidnapped right from Central Park. The Police are involved and trying to find Gabriel, but is the family revealing all? Interesting read with multiple twists.

This was intense and such a good reading experience! Someone Saw Something, but do they realize what they saw?

Journalist Corina Carado, married to Robert Tanner whose daughter Charlotte now 16, face the kidnapping of Corina's 6 yr old son Gabriel in broad daylight in NYC Central Park. Who took Gabriel? Why Gabriel and why now? There are so many things going on with a growing number of potential kidnappers/groups that the investigation keeps expanding to other precincts and other states and countries. Keeping a steady stream of looking into the lives of all involved keeps everyone on edge.

I found this thriller's steady pace another reason I highly recommend Rick Mofina and have for years. The ending was so emotional I know this will stay with me for a long time. Corina is a character to admire.

The plot is peppered with numerous red herrings and detailed backstories of minor characters, which, while intriguing, sometimes detract from the central storyline. Additionally, the occasionally frustrating and questionable choices made by family members in the story can be irksome, but they don't significantly diminish the overall enjoyment.
