Despite knowing all about love from countless romance novels, hopeless romantic Viggo has yet to meet his one true love. Cynical Tallulah doubts true love exists but needs his help to improve the relationship in her latest writing project. The simple plot is enhanced with well-developed characters with full backstories, strong emotional development, and sensitive representation of ADHD and diabetes. Pick up if you enjoy grumpy/sunshine pairings, supportive male heroes, and slow burn romances. This is the last in a series of novels about a Swedish-American family of seven siblings. Newcomers will appreciate the appearances by the other siblings if they start with the first book.

This book was such a beautiful ending to this series. I was so excited to finally get Viggo’s book and it did not disappoint at all! This is a NEED TO READ.

I absolutely loved both Viggo and Tallulah and this book was such a sweet story of two characters that were so perfect for each other. Viggo, the romance reader waiting for his own storybook romance & Tallulah the girl who never really believed in love or that she could be loved. This book is the BEST definition of black cat, golden retriever and I ADORED this dynamic immensely.

And let me say, THE COMMUNICATION GOES CRAZY. This book is for the haters of the miscommunication trope, because I have never read two characters that were better at talking about why they felt and acted the way they do. Every time either of them was upset or something rocky happened the immediate communication and reassurance was there. I loved it, it made me confident that they would be able to get through anything together.

I will be recommending this book and I am now a devoted Chloe Liese fan. As are her other books, the diversity rep is amazing.

Many thanks to @berkleyromance for the free copy of this magical book! Of course, @chloe_liese would send off the Bergman series with a beautiful story emphasizing vulnerability and everyone deserving to be loved - because that’s at the core of the Bergman family.

Throughout six books, Viggo Bergman has watched his siblings stumble (and sometimes go kicking and screaming) into love. He has cheered them on, made them read romance novels, and been the voice of true love because all he has ever wanted is to be struck by that thunderbolt of finding “the one” - and now he’s the only one who doesn’t have it. But he is following his dream of opening a romance book store. Family friend Tallulah Clarke has no interest in love - her parent’s marriage proves love only causes pain. She also doesn’t read romance novels - she writes thrillers. Now Viggo needs help launching his bookshop while Tallulah needs a place to crash and help writing a believable romantic relationship into her next novel. So they make a pact: she will stay in his guest room and help at the shop, and he’ll use his knowledge of romance novels to assist with the book. Over their months together, Viggo begins to realize that finding the one might not be a thunderbolt, and Tallulah discovers that she might be starting to believe in love.

Viggo and Tallulah’s path to love is tentative, tender, vulnerable, and gentile. Liese’s books beautifully portray neurodivergence (Viggo’s ADHD) and chronic illness (Tallulah’s type 1 diabetes) with respect and kindness. Although I am sad to see the series end, it went out perfectly, with every character having a moment to shine and a final trip to the a-frame cabin in Washington state, which has served as the hub for so many elements of the series.

What a conclusion to the Bergman Brothers (and Sisters) series!!!

I don't know how Chloe Liese does it, but she makes me love tropes that I historically do not enjoy. She did it with Ever After Always (marriage in crisis? normally a no thank you from me, but turns out I loved it) and she's done it again with Only and Forever. I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did (because I truly did love it). This book made me laugh and cry and I couldn't put it down (except to do real life responsibilities ugh).

We've seen Viggo in previous books, and he's never been my top Bergman -- but having his POV has turned him into one of my favorites (favorite? maybe?). His struggle with being "too much" for some people and his never ending list of hobbies are a little TOO relatable to me. Tallulah had such a great POV too, and I loved how we really see the efforts she makes to grow and heal. I love that we continue to see previous main couples grow in the background of the story, and I love the rapport that they all continue to have.

Also, this whole series is super refreshing and I love coming back to this little world because they're not like a lot of other contemporary romances (they're better, duh) (in my unprofessional opinion). Like how did this book have so much TENSION and BANTER and PINING with zero miscommunication and no third act breakup??? And also I love how every book includes different disabilities/disorder/body types. I'm sad this is the last book, but I this is a series I'll definitely reread at some point and I'm excited to read whatever Chloe Liese writes next.

Thank you to Berkley Romance for this ARC!

The later Bergman books don't always stand on their own for me, but I liked this as a farewell to the series. It was a deeply funny choice to basically....make Viggo own The Ripped Bodice in LA? Overall, though, a nice conclusion if not one that I would necessarily recommend to someone who hadn't read the rest of the Bergman series.

When I pulled this ebook up on my Kindle, I had to take a moment and pause, take a deep breath, and savor this bittersweet moment of knowing I’m reading the final book of my most favorite (romance) series.

Viggo’s book was not what I was expecting from him, and that’s exactly what made me fall in love with this book right away. I should have known that Chloe’s magic goes way beyond what my imagination can conceive. Seven books later, and I’m still able to be surprised by this family, these characters.

I loved Viggo and Tallulah’s story. I loved the vulnerability and intimacy. The acceptance, inclusivity, and how much love we feel radiating off the pages. I loved how I can say the same about all the previous books, yet they all feel different. Individual. Special.

I also loved getting updates from each of the other couples/siblings. Still close as ever. Seeing how their lives played out warms my heart.

I’m going to continue to live in a world where I believe the Bergman Family is real, just living happily ever after in SoCal and the PNW. Well, they are, in my heart, at least. Forever.

Thank you so much for this ARC, Berkley.

The most perfect, beautiful, sexy, heartfelt, love filled conclusion to the Bergmans series I could imagine.

Viggo was always secretly my favorite brother, and his story was well worth the wait. He was so infinitely relatable, waiting for his perfect happily ever after like the ones he reads about in the romance books he loves so much. Only, when Tallulah comes into his life, he starts to realize that maybe the love story that’s meant for him isn’t as cut and dry as he originally thought.

And Tallulah 🫠 loved her black cat exterior with a bleeding heart beneath. I loved how willing she was to let Viggo care for her, and honestly how easy it was for her to fall for him when she realized she couldn’t live her life without him in it.

I loved seeing all the other Bergmans couples, the expanding families, the kids, the bonds between the siblings. Just everything about this conclusion was perfection.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This story started off great for me but then lost a little “steam” only because I thought their relationship was going to fully develop earlier in the story than it did. AKA I deducted a star solely because this was not smutty enough for my tastes 😂

it may be the last Bergman book but trust me when I tell you that Viggo & Tallulah are worth the wait 🥹

✨what to expect:
🐈‍⬛black cat & golden retriever
💙T1D, fat, & ADHD rep
🥵h0rny roommates
📖thriller writer & romance reader
🪴all the feels
❤️‍🔥SO MUCH PINING
😆Bergman family shenanigans

Chloe infuses depth in the lived experiences she includes in her books in a way that makes it hard not to relate, even if it’s just a small amount, to every character she creates. I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was when she told me that Tallulah had T1D because I knew that she would handle that representation with care and love, which is exactly what we get here.

ONLY AND FOREVER feels like the softest and sweetest finish to the series. Viggo really deserves the best of everything and that’s what we see him get here. Tallulah was a delight and the perfect partner for him, I loved watching their love story unfold.

3/5 stars

A wholesome ending to this beautiful series. I loved seeing the characters grow throughout the book. The representation was nice to see, with the FMC having diabetes rep and the MMC having ADHD rep, Chloe Liese made it a point to normalize what can sometimes be stigmatized, which is a good thing.

This would be a nice summer read and a good gift for your trope loving die-hard romance bookish friend!

Finally it’s Viggo’s -the sweetest ultimate people pleaser- book. I’ve been looking forward to his book for so long. He’s the romance reader, the one who was always up on his sibling’s business, the hopeless romantic, and the romance expert. I was interested in seeing how his love story would turn out. And it was really adorable. I loved Talllulah and their reverse grumpy/sunshine dynamic. I loved watching all the family members again. This was just a sweet goodbye to the Bergmans. What a beautiful sweet book to end the series with.

Huge Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing this copy.

The plot was good and I liked how the characters were written. The chemistry between the couple was there from the beginning and I liked how they were different from each other but somehow they complimented each other. The Bergman family scenes were cute and funny.

Chloe Liese will ALWAYS have my heart. I appreciate the diversity and the real touch of human soul. 10/10

This felt like a fitting end to the Bergman Brothers series. Viggo, the romance novel loving Bergman brother, is bummed that he hasn't found love like all his siblings (and the protagonists of the hundreds of romance novels he's read) have. Enter Tallulah Clarke, the sister of Ziggy Bergman's close friend Charlie, who Viggo hasn't seen since he had a huge, seemingly unrequited, crush on her his first (and only) semester of college. It turns out that he's still into her after all these years, but he's ready to put his feelings aside to be a friend to her as she tries to work through the challenge of writing a follow-up to her surprise hit debut novel. They come up with an exchange of sorts - he'll help her with the romantic sub-plot of her novel in exchange for her help getting his new romance bookstore up and running. Viggo lives in an apartment connected to the store, and Tallulah is in between rentals, so she ends up moving in with him for 2 months while they help each other out. I like that this plays with a lot of romance tropes, inverting some of the typical gender dynamics in the genre - Tallulah is the grumpy one and Viggo is the sunshine, Viggo the romantic while Tallulah doesn't really believe in love, etc. This had everything I've come to expect from a Chloe Liese romance - representation of neurodiversity (ADHD) and chronic conditions (Type 1 Diabetes), main characters who are stubborn enough to cause a little friction, and lots of interfering from the rest of the Bergman clan. A solid end to a great series, and I'll keep looking forward to Chloe Liese's books.

I once again am so happy to read a book with excellent ADHD and diabetes representation. I've loved watching Viggo and Tallulah's love and friendship slowly grow throughout the series. As with most CL books the vulnerability and growth within her characters is so well thought out and written. I flew threw this book and found it an easy heartwarming & familiar read.

- pining
- slow burn
- no miscommunication
- friends to lovers

Only and Forever by Chloe Liese
Pub day is 4/2 🎉

The last book in this series!!!! Oh so bittersweet! I cannot imagine a better finale for this cozy, swoony, steamy series. Viggo and Tallulah are so precious!

Tallulah moves in with Viggo to help him open a romance bookstore and he is going to help her with the book she's writing!

You *can* skip around in the series a little easier for the earlier books, but I think for books 5, 6, and 7 you'll just have so much more fun with it if you have more backstory with all of the previous relationship dynamics. So... just head on back to the beginning if you haven't already and enjoy the Chloe Liese Bergman Brothers universe!!

What I've got to say about Only and Forever:
💕 A historical romance reading hero!! Talk about a green flag!!
💕 The histrom "easter eggs" are perfection. He named his houseplants Lorraine, Lisa, and Beverly. One of us! One of us! Viggo mentions Mary Jane Wells at least two times!! (She's one of the best historical romance audiobook narrators!!!) I just love that CL did this!!
💕 Tallulah is a thriller writer that isn't sure she believes in happy endings and he's a hopeless romantic... this dynamic and their journey together is soooo satisfying!
💕 Baggage gets unpacked!
💕 Adhd and T1 diabetes rep
💕 I get just as giddy about a surly, growling hero as the next romance reader, but there's really something about a nontoxic, golden retriever hero that has such a soft spot in my heart. Viggo is a favorite!
💕Tropes include: Opposites attract (he's flirty and boisterous and she's more reserved and a little grumpy) Caretaking, Golden Retriever Energy, Roommates
💕 The other Bergman's meddling and presence is just perfect.

Read this series! You won't regret it!

Thanks so much to Netgalley and Berkley for access to this ARC!

Was so excited to read this but also bittersweet as it is the last book in the series! But I really enjoyed it so much I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the MMC as a love interest but I was so pleasantly surprised. One of my favorite things is the FMC black cat and MMC golden retriever dynamic and this so delivered. I thought they had just great chemistry. Also I love the diabetes representation as someone who has a close family member that struggles with it I found it so well done. Overall it was just a really nice fun enjoyable read and I recommend this series to everyone!

I was excited to jump into Viggo's book. I was intrigued by the man who loved to read romance novels. He loves so big and openly and I hoped that his love story would be explosive. This is one of my favorite series and I wanted it to end on a high note for me. I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I felt like Viggo and Tallulah didn't have much chemistry. Viggo was a bit too much at times and when all was said and done, his character lacked the depth that I wanted. And Tallulah was not a likeable heroine. I got irritated by her meanness.

This was a slow burn, so if you're into that, you might like this one.

I loved seeing the Bergman clan again!

Steam level: 🔥🔥🔥

I have been solid on the fact that Freya and Aiden are my favorite Bergman couple this whole time just for Viggo and Tallulah to come along steal my heart. The FMC black cat x MMC golden retriever set up really does it for me, they were so great together as friends and as a couple. Also THEYRE ROOMMATES and THERES A ROMANCE BOOKSTORE and LOTS OF CUTE ADOPTED PETS.

I was just cheesin the whole time I read the book except the parts where I was in my feelings but even then I still had a great time. It was a great end to the series.

This was so bittersweet, as this is the last book in the beloved Bergman Brothers series. I do have to say, it's a little weird reading about Viggo as a charismatic love interest, since in the perspective of all the other characters, he is such a silly younger brother type. In fact, I was more excited to see his character development as he opens a bookstore and spreads his love of romance novels to the greater California community than watch his relationship bloom. Nevertheless, this book was fun. Are Tallulah and Viggo my favorite Bergman couple? Not by a long shot, but this book still feels light and exciting and is well written. As with all the other siblings, Viggo faces his own struggles with fitting in with his big family. And Tallulah? Well as much as Chloe Liese tried to portray how unlikable she was, and how little she thought of herself at the beginning of the book, at the end, she won me over. As you'll know by the end, she had her reasons.
