This is a steamy contemporary romance book with a tender love story between Viggo and Tallulah. Viggo is a romance book loving softie and Tallulah is cynical about love. Their love story is magical.
Only and Forever is the wrap up to the Bergman Brothers series. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone as this is the first book in the series that I have read. However, it is going to introduce you to a loving and interesting family that you are going to want to read the entire series!

The perfect conclusion to the Bergman Brothers series! Viggo has been such a driving force in the stories of all of his siblings as a romance novel reader, and now the hopeless romantic gets his happily every after.
Viggo had a crush on Tallulah Clark back in college, and now that his younger sister Ziggy's best friend is getting married to Tallulah's sister, they're thrown back into each other's lives as she needs a quiet place to stay while writing her second novel, and Viggo needs some help managing his soon to be open bookstore slash coffee shop. Tallulah hates romance and wants nothing to do with it, Viggo lives for it - what happens when they're sharing a place together?
Viggo's story was so cute and I'm glad after years of waiting for love, he got his happily ever after. I also love all the little updates on his siblings that we get throughout the book - especially Axel (no spoilers but iykyk). I love that there's no third act breakup, and that the romance progressed organically with the "conflict" of sorts having nothing to do with the relationship.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! I have read every book in the Bergman series, since it was self-published by Chloe Liese and what a journey this series is! Liese is one of the reasons I fell in love with romance. She’s so good at writing soft, beautiful, accepting, love romances (and more great adjectives could be used). I think this book should not be read as a standalone, since it really works as the ending to this lovely series. I really enjoyed this book, particularly the female main character Tallulah. I connect with this idea of caregiving for others and not caregiving enough for yourself, and I think the representation of the loneliness that comes with a chronic condition was very true (Tallulah has diabetes). And as always, Liese’s author's notes in all her books make me cry. Her passion is writing romance books to show that everyone, no matter their neurodivergence, chronic conditions, or trauma, should have love. And isn’t that the most beautiful thing ever? Truly the reason I read romance. I recommend this book for fans of this series and Liese (but read the series in order in my opinion), ADHD representation, diabetes representation, and found family.

As usual Chloe has hit it out of the park and got me right in my feels!
I have loved Viggo and his romance reading since we met him. He’s so carefree and sweet and has such great advice. But he also has some struggles and internal battles that he doesn't share. Loved that his love interest was a second chance at a romance! Also it was a reverse grumpy sunshine. The girl is always the sunshine and it's not Tallulah’s fault that she's the grump she just has never been shown real no strings attached love. She is always braced for the rejection or the slap so when he showed up with his golden retriever energy he scared her and put her on high defense. They were both so scared to scare the other off. Omg i loved this so much!!! 😍
Loved their mutual work arrangement and helping each other out. His work project is so perfect for him and he helps her with the romantic side of her project. Loved the close proximity with them being roommates. I squealed when he got his own Bergman Brothers summit. I am so sad that there will be no new books but what an amazing series end.
Especially all the life events happening for the other couples that we know and love. We get to see their established relationships and how they have evolved and grown.
Love the rep in this book and series! Diabetes and ADHD for the MCs in this series. So much rep in this series!

There is nothing I love more than a super solid romance read and the last installment of the Bergman Brothers series is no exception! In Only and Forever, we follow Viggo and Tallulah as they fall into a situationship that soon turns into a relationship. Viggo and Tallulah are polar opposites: Viggo is a hopeless romantic, who wants to open a bookshop but is worried he won't be able to tackle it all due to his ADHD. Tallulah is a grouchy, closed-off struggling author that is trying to finish her novel. In order for both Viggo and Tallulah to be successful, they strike up a deal to help each other, which includes becoming roommates.
To put it plainly, I absolutely loved this book. To be transparent, I haven't read all of Bergman Brothers, and it's okay to read them out of order, but so far, this one is hands down my favorite. I loved all of the emotions and the honesty that both Viggo and Tallulah have with one another and appreciated them being open and discussing Viggo's ADHD and Tallulah's diabetes, which isn't always discussed in books. I devoured this book in two sittings and I'm so grateful for this early copy - I can't recommend it enough!

Viggo Bergman is a hopeless romantic and has spent years waiting for his happily ever after. But he's spending his time opening a romance bookstore, running a romance book club, coaching kids' soccer, and adopting a household of pets. Tallulah Clarke doesn't believe in love, but needs some help with her thriller's romantic subplot. She and Viggo swap skills: he'll talk with her about romance and she'll provide a much-needed extra set of hands for his store. They also decide to co-habitat for convenience. As they start to share their lives they start to learn about themselves and maybe that what they think about love isn't totally accurate.
Viggo has been extremely active in pushing along the love stories in the other books in this series, so this book is a chance for him to finally find his own partner. It's heart-warming to watch him figure out what love is actually like as he and Tallulah spend time together. Tallulah has had a very hard life (read the content warnings!), so she has a lot of growth to do, and the Bergmans are a great support system for her. This family is full of messy, but wonderful, people and their involvement in each story in the series is always a highlight.
I will say, compared to some of the other books in this series, this book has a bit of a slow start. Neither Tallulah nor Viggo are very open so it takes some time to get to know them and for them to get to know themselves and each other. The growth throughout the book was great, but it took time to get there.
Overall, I definitely recommended this book, especially if you've read the rest of the Bergman Brothers series. Viggo and Tallulah are a great grumpy-sunshine combination and they are so supportive of one another. A heart-warming read perfect for reading while curled up with a cup of tea.

📣 a sunshine & the grump contemporary with chronic illness rep & a romance-loving hero
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.
📖 What are your Wednesday numbers? Mine are three pets keeping me up in the middle of the night, one cup of coffee, and one historical romance I started just before bed last night (The Prince’s Bride by Charis Michael’s).
Unlike some of you, I haven’t been with Chloe Liese’s Bergmans from the beginning. I started reading with Oliver’s story, and now I’ve read about three of these very loving siblings.
Despite this relatively recent introduction to the series, I was excited to see who Viggo ended up with. I was pleasantly surprised by the choice: for Viggo, a man everyone likes, we have Tallulah, the woman who’s never seemed that impressed with him.
Only & Forever has a lot of standout traits that will make this book memorable for a lot of readers. Maybe my favorite thing about this book is how Tallulah learns to communicate and to be more considerate of Viggo’s feelings. The brownie scene is such a good moment.
A close second, or maybe even a tie, is seeing the Bergmans all together—all of those HEAs congregated in one loving space!
While I didn’t feel a huge sense of urgency propelling me along the story, I found it satisfying & sweet, & I always admire how Chloe Liese’s books wear their hearts on their sleeves so to speak.
4 ⭐️. Out now!
[ID: Jess’s white hand holds the book in front of a bed of irises and tulips.]

I'll be honest... I never knew I would fall for a softie the way I fell for Viggo. This was a bear of a man who believed in the magic and power of love. He adored romance novels almost as much as we do and I loved his love of love.
Tallulah was a bit harder to like, but she quickly grew on me. It seems that not even she could resist the powerful allure of the irresistible Viggo. Seriously, who could resist a man who wears his beautiful heart on his sleeve?
"Our love story is the only one I want."
It can only be me who would fall in love with such wonderful characters and such an incredible family by reading the last book of a series. Where was I for books one through six??? I guess I know what I'll be reading next.

The perfect ending to the perfect series. I loved every bit of this, I laughed, I cried, and its everything I wanted and expected from a Chloe Liese novel.
Viggo is quite possibly the most perfect man ever written, and i mean that. I have been highly anticipating his story after his cameos in the first 6 books. He is such a lovable character before even knowing his story, but then you read his story and fall in love with him on each page. I love that HE is the hopeless romantic in this story. He's so real for that. He deserves the world.
Tallulah is that girl !!!!!!! I truly loved seeing her grow as a character. She is so raw and a perfect example of growing up and realizing that you cant always base your life on how your parents live. She is fiercely strong and caring. I think her story is beautiful.
The ROMANCE bookstore owner and the thriller author who doesn't believe in happy endings, I mean yeah that alone is the perfect concept for a novel!!!!! As always the compassion from the characters is so perfectly written. Viggo has ADHD and Tallulah has diabetes. The love and patience they show each other is so important. I loved how they looked out for each other and could depend on each other when they needed it but also when they least expected it. Tallulah setting timers and making sure that Viggo eats inbetween his 1 million projects. Viggo constantly showing up for Tallulahs emotions and showing her she can be loved and cared for, and his gentleness towards her health.
One of my favorite parts of this series is the closeness of the Bergman family and how prominent they are in each others lives. The family dynamic is so sweet i found myself often crying (happy tears) any time the family came around. The A Frame is such a significant part of the series and I am SO HAPPY it was a part of Viggo and Tallulahs story too.
This was everything I wanted and more and I cannot recommend it enough!!!!!

I’m always a fan of a good grumpy FMC sunshine MMC trope and Viggo and Tallulah were a prime example. Viggo was a die hard romantic with ADHD and unrealistic beliefs about what romance looks like outside romance novels. Tallulah was a jaded reclusive writer who thought love wasn’t real. The sparks flew when they became roomies.
Both MCs had their own growth arcs and a growth arc as a couple. They had to learn to depend on others in appropriate ways while understanding they were capable in many other ways.
I liked the diabetes and ADHD rep in the book and, as always, Liese’s insistence that people are not less worthy of love or a less valuable partner because of disability. I’m sad to see the Bergman brothers go, but look forward to future books.

I wish I could be an honorary Bergman 😭 I love this crazy fam so damn much. Like with all of Chloe Liese’s books, Viggo and Lula’s story was filled with fun banter, incredible tension, as well as very real vulnerabilities and strengths in equal measure.
Viggo’s ADHD experience feels so true to my own. I often forget to eat, I hyperfixate like it’s my job, and I’m always doing multiple things at the same time.
I also related to Lula in so many ways, and not just because of the blue hair… I’ve felt so many of the same things when it comes to prioritizing others needs above mine, even to my own detriment. I’ve felt disillusioned due to past relationships/experiences. I really loved her story and character development.
I’m so sad this series has come to an end. The Bergman Brother series has some of the best visibility/representation I’ve ever seen in books. The truth/reminder that every person is worthy and capable of love and happily ever after shines through in each book.
Highlights:
- Romance: MF
- Grumpy/sunshine (she’s the grump)
- ADHD visibility
- Type 1 Diabetes visibility
- Roommates
- One bed
- Hopeless romantic & a huge cynic
Note: I received an advance copy from the author & Berkley. Decision to read/review was my own. Opinion is my own.

Only and Forever by Chloe Liese
Release Date: 4/2/24
Format: ebook/audio hybrid
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have adored the Bergmans from the dedication of book one and to finish this series is so bittersweet. But to end on Viggo’s story is such a fitting ending. To see him get his HEA before leaving the A Frame in the rear view was such a treat.
This book is everything we have come to know and love from Chloe Liese…it’s representation at its finest, it’s impeccable humor, it’s vulnerable moments with a side of steam. But it’s also a message of what love looks like in real life vs. romance novels. It is perfect!
I knew I was going to be smitten with Viggo, but Chloe is still out here ruining book boyfriends for the world. Adopting animals, owning a bookstore, forever chasing his HEA and pining over icy Tallulah? He’s just so wonderful. I absolutely adored Tallulah as a FMC too and thought she was the perfect and most unlikely match for our historical romance lover!
This series is just so beautiful and will forever hold such a special place in my heart. Thank you, Chloe Liese, for sharing this family you dreamt up with us. And thank you to @netgalley for the arc of this book in exchange for my honest opinion!

There were so many moments that had me bursting with joy, spicy moments, Chloe has left the 3rd act breakup as a thing of the past!!!, and there’s nicknames that have me in a puddle🤭 if you haven’t already read the Bergmans JUST DO IT ALREADY!!

3.5 stars
Alright, am I crazy because I started the series on the last book? Yes. Do I regret it? Nope!
While I really thought I'd love this book, it ended up just being okay. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. The spice scenes were great and I really enjoyed them. It's definitely a spicy book so the smut is there! I think what I didn't enjoy were the characters and some of the tropes. I really hate insta-love depending on how it's written. This one in particular was written where he falls first, but he falls so hard and fast and I didn't feel like the fmc felt the same way which made it awkward lol.
I also got the ick from Viggo several times which is so unfortunate. He's quirky in a way that wasn't always cute for me. I also couldn't stand the amount of times that man winked at her. Like, was there something in your eye sir?
Having read the last book first I don't think I will be reading the rest of the series. They might be better, but I'm just not interested.

It’s hard to believe I’ve been reading this series for four years! Only When It’s Us was one of my early reads when I started my romance journey and I’ve loved following along with this family since then!
I, like many people I think, was waiting for Viggo’s book with every new release. Now, at the end of this series, it seems fitting that he was the last story to be told.
I really enjoyed Viggo and Tallula’s story. They both came into their roommate arrangement with some baggage but found a way to be honest with one another. They both said what they were thinking/feeling and I found that refreshing. I loved their banter and interactions. They each had an opportunity to take care of the other and those were some of my favorite moments.
We got small glimpses of the other siblings and significant others, which I loved. I hope we’ll get more in the future via bonus epilogues or a novella. 🤞🏻
The detail included for Tallula’s Type 1 diabetes was appreciated. The level of research was clear and I’m always impressed by the care taken in Chloe’s books.
This was a bittersweet ending for me and I’m really going to miss being in the Bergman world!
Expect:
⌨️ Forced Proximity
📚 Black Cat/Golden Retriever
⌨️ Type 1 Diabetes and ADHD rep
📚 He reads romance!
Thank you to the author and Berkley Romance for an eARC of this book. All opinions are my own and given voluntarily.

I have been SO excited to read this book ever since at LEAST book three (and maybe even before) when Viggo really started to shine for me as a character and this book
DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT.
I wound up falling in love with Viggo even more than I was expecting when I read this book. There was so much about his character that I found to be SO relatable, and it was so satisfying to read his perspective after experiencing him as such a prominent supporting character throughout the series.
Not to mention I am OBSESSED with his dynamic with Tallulah. Leave it to the hopeless romantic to fall in love with the thriller writer that doesn’t believe in happy endings (the opposites attract is opposites attracting). The execution of the “she’s grumpy, he’s sunshine” trope was done SO WELL and the romance between these two characters was SO on point.
Speaking of Tallulah, I LOVED her character development. Chloe Liese is a master at writing characters that have to learn to be vulnerable and embrace the relationship in front of them, and I love seeing that journey play out every time.
Overall, this book was even better than I was expecting. With a romance reading hero and a grumpy author heroine, some adorable furry friends, top-tier roommates to lovers tension, as well my favorite family dynamic in any book EVER, this was exactly the kind of strong conclusion this series deserved.

The Bergman series continues with the romance-book-loving hero, Viggo.
This one was a bit tough for me because the author opted for an unlikeable heroine: Tallulah Clarke. Viggo has always been interested in her, but Tallulah is so closed off and the ultimate cynic. She and Viggo are at complete odds. Yet these two find themselves needing each other in an odd way that gives them both a chance to do what they’ve struggled with: rely on others.
This book was good because it took two completely different types of people who faced similar issues but for entirely different reasons. Viggo has always had his family but has struggled to commit to things and often can get side-tracked due to his struggles with ADHD. Tallulah came from a rough family life that shocked the very foundations of trusting others and believing that people would be there for her. While Viggo and Tallulah are opposites in their opinions on love, they’ve both struggled in different ways and continue to struggle. Where Tallulah has pursued a future as a writer, her writing misses romance, and Viggo is an expert on that but not so much at handling the wildness of his life. That’s where Tallulah comes in.
This book summoned forth emotions in me that I was surprised by. I really cared about Viggo getting his happily ever after and finding someone who would treat him right. I really didn’t think that would be Tallulah with her cynicism towards romance. But she wasn’t immune to the magic Viggo was capable of. On the flip side, Viggo is adorable, and he needs someone like Tallulah to push him past his hang-ups. Because shockingly, for being such a romance lover, he definitely has a few issues.
From an overall story perspective, this one meets all the qualities of a slow burn. Things take a bit to heat up on the page, but once they do, Liese delivers. There are plenty of shenanigans, which can only be found in a Bergman Brothers book, along with plenty of family moments with some favorites from previous books in the series. All-in-all, this one is a nice wrap-up to the series. I will say, Liese saved the best for last. Only and Forever works as a standalone. Though, I recommend to fully enjoy this series you should read the other books.

This was a beautiful ending. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with this book. The Bergmans hold such a special place in my heart - each of their stories are touching and important in so many different ways - and I didn't want it to end.
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. I'd liked Viggo previously, but there were some moments in other books where I personally felt like he was getting a little high-handed and pushy and dare I say preachy with his siblings and their partners and I wasn't sure how that was going to come off in his book. I should have trusted that Chloe knew exactly what she was doing. Viggo's growth and maturity was amazing to see. I loved watching his dream become a reality seeing him adjust his expectations on what he's supposed to get out of a romance and make it something real.
Viggo and Tallulah's relationship was so special - I love how they supported and leaned on one another, discovering new things about each other and growing together. She was a great new character and I adored their history together and seeing her take such courageous steps to grow and heal was amazing. Their love was palpable and made me feel so happy for how this truly one-of-a-kind series has wrapped up.

Viggo Bergman.
Romance book reader. Plant daddy. Baker. Prankster. Lover of love. Curious. Kind. Enthusiastic. Generous. Son. Brother. Friend.
And now, the romantic lead. The role Viggo has been wanting for so long. To find his love, to care and nurture, to hold tight and to be held.
Viggo has watched his brothers and sisters meet their partners, fall in love, work through challenges and if he nudged them along the way, well, so be it. 😉
We’ve spent some time with Viggo in the previous books, but now we get to know him in depth. His vulnerabilities. His insecurities. His dream, goals and triumphs. The secrets he’s been hiding from even his family.
Of course the person who captures Viggo’s heart isn’t who he expected, despite having a past history with her. Tallulah is Viggo’s complement in so many ways. Not a fan of romance. Grumpy and cynical while he is sunshine and optimism. A bit of a loner while he seeks out people.
Reunited by their siblings, they soon find themselves spending a lot of time together when Lula needs a place to live and help adding some romance to her book while Viggo needs help getting his new business venture off the ground.
And while neither set out to do so with the other, they quickly find themselves making a home together, complete with all the plants and some very adorable pets, as well as helping one another become the best version of themself.
And it wouldn’t be a Bergman book without meddling siblings, time at the A-frame, Bergman brothers summit, and catching up with all the characters we fell in love with in the previous six books.
The entire series is brilliant and Viggo’s story is the perfect ending.
While there is some sadness, we can revisit the family and return to the A-frame. Each time we read, we’ve lived a bit more of our own lives and can read with new perspectives and feelings, empathizing in different ways, appreciating the nuances and struggles, celebrating the small and big moments.
Thank you, Chloe, for sharing the Bergmans with us. We ❤️ you.

Only and Forever is the 7th & final book in Chloe Liese’s Bergman Brothers series & it features Viggo, the softest people pleasing, romance loving hero of the bunch 👇🏻
Viggo is opening a romance bookstore but instead of asking for help, not wanting to burden his family or friends, he’s doing it all himself. He runs into his once college acquaintance, Tallulah. She’s a thriller writer trying to finish her sophomore novel. She’s struggling to master the chemistry & tension between her husband & wife MC’s, not to mention currently without a place in LA to stay. The pair come up with an agreement: Tallulah will move into the spare bedroom of the store’s apartment with Viggo & help work at his bookstore & in exchange for being a “romantic advisor” for her novel.
This is a very character driven book as we slowly watch these two very opposite MC fall head over heels. We’ve watched Viggo grow from book one, but Tallulah was brought up in a very different, toxic household. Because of this, she’s made herself closed off & holds an anti-love state of mind. Viggo felt like the perfect match. This is a slow burn to love & intimacy, but when it hit.. BOOM 💥 So many moments to love here: Viggo & Tallulah talking about romance novels & getting all hot & bothered from it, then cuddling on the couch. The rescue animals! I’m swooning just remembering it all. Not to mention all the cameos from the Bergman family. It was a heart warming end to one of my favorite series of all time.
