The readers are taken to Wyoming where the landscape is beautiful and where the Wilde family owns a working and tourist ranch as well as a bar.
Jax Wilde loves his family and willingly works long hours in the ranch and the bar. For him, family is everything.
After his girlfriend deeply betrayed him, he is not interested in any relationships. That is, until the beautiful , famous, landscape artist books one of their cabins for an extended stay. Layla Brock is looking forward to painting, and enjoying the openness of the land. She needs this, especially after the betrayal and death of her husband.
As these two navigate their new relationship, external forces are creating havoc. Will they figure out who is after Layla and why?
This was an entertaining story about family, new beginnings, forgiveness, hope and second chances in life and love.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I loved reading, Wilde For You. Layla's had some bad times recently. Meeting Jax turned that all around. Even though he is busier than anyone should be. He always finds time to spend with Layla. That's true love.

Unfortunately, I DNF'd this at about 35%. I found the characters to be very surface level and could not bring myself to care about them. For me I need to be invested in something in this story to keep going and I just didn't feel that sense of connection.

I did appreciate the underlying plot with the main character's backstories, but readers will want to look up TWs before going into this one for sure.

This book was great for a romance reader but it was a total let down in the suspense and thriller department. After all the books I have read by this author this book was kind of a disappointment on the mystery front and how it was wrapped up it just felt kind of like solving it was an after thought. But as I said it was a great romance novel.

ARC received for review

Great second book. Layla has come to Jax's ranch to heal. She didn't expect to fall in love with the handsome rancher. There's someone from her past out to hurt her. I sure didn't see that person as the bad guy. Good job.

A romantic suspense story in small-town Wyoming is the setting of author Jennifer Ryan’s “Wilde For You”. This is the latest release in her Dark Horse Dive Bar series. Jax and Layla have both been deceived in prior relationships and know what they want this time around. They don’t have time for games and believe in open communication. How refreshing!

I received an E-ARC from #AvonBooks via #NetGalley, and this is my voluntary honest review.

In Wilde for You, Jennifer Ryan paints a vivid and emotionally charged landscape, intertwining the healing power of love with the complexities of starting anew after heartbreak. The narrative follows the journey of Layla Brock, a talented landscape artist who, having experienced the depths of loss and betrayal, seeks solace and self-discovery in the vast and picturesque landscapes of Wyoming.

Layla's character is expertly crafted, resonating with the readers as she grapples with the aftermath of her husband's tragic death and the shattered illusions of her past. The author skillfully captures the essence of Layla's resilience, portraying her as a woman on a quest for a fresh start, both in her personal life and her art.

Enter Jax Wilde, the charismatic rancher with a multifaceted life that includes managing the family ranch, handling the chaos of the Dark Horse Dive Bar, and renting out cabins to tourists. The unexpected connection between Layla and Jax adds layers of intrigue to the story. What initially seems like an unlikely pairing transforms into a beautifully woven tale of two souls finding solace and companionship in each other.

The novel excels in exploring themes of loss, rebuilding, and the prospect of second chances. Jax's desire for a complete life, filled with love and family, aligns with Layla's yearning for redemption. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and their journey together becomes a compelling exploration of trust, healing, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.

The story takes an exciting turn as Layla's hidden secrets unravel, introducing an element of suspense that keeps the readers eagerly turning pages. The added layer of a new threat adds a dose of intrigue, with Jax emerging as Layla's steadfast ally in the face of adversity.

This is a heartwarming and emotionally charged novel that blends romance, suspense, and the transformative power of love. The author's prose is engaging, capturing the beauty of Wyoming's landscapes and the complexities of the human heart. Readers who appreciate tales of love, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness will find this book a rewarding and satisfying read.

Looking for a heartwarming, smile evoking tale, look no further than WILDE FOR YOU the newest in the Dive Bar series from definitely one of my favorite authors, Jennifer Ryan. You will immediately fall madly in love with the characters created by this prolific, talented writer of romance tales. Trust me, you can’t help but get caught up in the wondrous world penned by Jennifer Ryan.
Jax Wilde is a rough and tough cowboy with the most marvelous heart. A true family man who is surrounded by sisters, parents, and tons of love. But missing is that one person who he can entrust with his heart.
Layla is an artist looking for a divine image for her newest commission piece. The mountains and scenery on the Wilde Ranch are perfect. And Jax is just another eye-catching item on this land.
Maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic, but I find stories by Jennifer Ryan so swoon worthy. Perhaps at times with a healthy helping of sass and sexiness, just to spice it up. And with Jax and Layla there is plenty of it all. Laylas artistic outlook on life is front and center. And in contrast to Jax rough and ready outdoorsy lifestyle they make for an intriguing couple. As a couple they just mesh. And in WILDE FOR YOU Jennifer Ryan takes you on a romantic adventure while these two discovery each other, learning what they appreciate, what they revere, and build up a common bond of trust. Both having been gobsmacked in the past with partners who betrayed their trust. We learn their individual stories as they explore a possible relationship.
WILDE FOR YOU is the latest in a series that has been a joy to read. Each book and tale is an adventure of its own thanks to the creative mind and energy of Jennifer Ryan.

Another great book by Jennifer Ryan. I loved Jax and Layla's story. Both have had heartbreaks in their past that have prevented them from moving on. When Layla shows up at the ranch to rent space and work, sparks fly and the attraction is instant. Together they help the other live again and enjoy life.
A must read!

This was a nice enjoyable read about an artist who has a second chance at finding love. Sometimes and life we are dealt a crappy hand with love, so when we are older and wiser - love looks a bit different. Layla has become a successful painter of landscapes, so she books a cabin at Jax Wilde's family dude ranch. Jax has met the request of her manager to build an art barn for her to work in.

Jax has been burned by a previous fiance, so he is bitter and out on love. No one even catches his eye - until Layla. There is just something about her, and to see the love of the ranch through her eyes makes him enamored with her.

Things go array, and we wonder who has been doing some threatening damage to Layla's property. Romance and mystery drive this story and the characters are lovable. All in all a great read.

Jennifer is quickly becoming a new favorite author of mine. I dove into Wilde For You with great anticipation and was not disappointed. The Wilde family are ones you want to get to know as they truly care about their family and those they employ. Jax is no exception when he meets Layla and the heat between each other was steamy and when Layla was in danger, Jax made sure he could protect her as much as possible. A definite five star read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this book.

Having read nothing previously from this author, I had no expectations.

The author did a super fantastic job dealing with the controversial and emotional issues of abortion and suicide.

The characters were realistically portrayed and the descriptive settings were vivid.

I enjoyed the read.

Recommend.

This was a wonderful story Layla had lost her husband a year ago and was finally ready to move on. She had taken a commission for a painting in Wyoming and was going to stay indefinitely. She had a studio built that was open glass that she could see out and have lots of light. When she arrived at the ranch, Jax was struck dumb with her, not just her looks but just her She was the same. Her manager, April, saw the attraction they both had and told her to go for it. It took awhile but they both finally acted on it. Then her house in CA was vandalized, her tires were slashed and then all of her paintings were stolen. She thought at first it was her husband's brother, but it turned out it was not him. He had been angry with her but finally understood what had happened. It was quite dramatic when they found out who was doing these things. The ending was perfect as she wanted to start a life with him, and he wanted her to be happy A very good story

3.5 Stars! This is book 2 in the ‘Dark Horse Dive Bar’ series and can be read as a standalone. The main characters are Layla & Jax. They were cute & I liked both characters. They seem to fall in love at first sight and it got nauseatingly sweet and very lovey dovey. I actually had to skim through when they got to talking about how they feel about each other, it was just too much. They talked like that more than necessary which made me want to slap these fictional characters & yell at them because you’ve already told each other how much you love one another, it’s getting too sappy, move on already! But that’s just me & if that’s your jam, you’ll love this book. It’s still an entertaining book with some mystery thrown in along with the overly lovey romance and a huge past betrayal.

Layla is a renowned landscape artist, and is commissioned to paint a scene in Wyoming. She books her stay at the Wilde Ranch, and has an instant connection with Jax, one of the owners. Jax and Layla both have lots of baggage from past relationships, and some of Laylas has followed her, putting her in danger.
I really liked this book, and how Jaxand Layla were able to forge such a deep bond. The only issue I had was Laylas past and her big secret. It dragged out for so long before finding out what it was. But it was really a good book.

Overall it was a good book! Would I read it again? No, but I would recommend it to someone who loves a fast burn. I feel they moved way too quickly and it threw me off.

Jennifer Ryan has done it again! Even though she is dealing with some difficult subjects, both abortion and suicide, she still manages to write a story that pulls you in from the first page. She deals with the difficult topics and how they impact the lives of the characters without making them necessarily the focus of the story, it's more about how the characters are dealing with the aftermath and what their future holds. Max has been betrayed by a woman in his past, so he is not looking for a relationship until he meets Layla. Layla on the other hand has some serious trust issues thanks to her late husband. But there's just something about Max and Layla together that changes everything, if only they can figure out who is after Layla. This book features some of the characters from the previous entry in the series, Wilde Love, but is a standalone romance.

Dare I say I am wild for this one? Or that Jennifer Ryan wrote a winner in my book? (hehe OK that's enough out of me). Suspenseful, sweet and full of surprising characters and real emotional depth, Wilde for You was beautiful. If you like suspense romances, cowboy romances, or have been searching of the feel of a small town hallmark movie but with a bit of edge, this one is for you. Ryan handles hard topics with care, nuance and understanding, and writes a love story that provides hope for anyone who has gone through a hard time.

This was the second book in the Dark Horse Dive Bar Series. Jax is the only boy among the 4 Wilde siblings. He is fully devoted to work. While he longs for a solid lasting relationship like his parents and Mason and Lyric have found, he has trust issues with past relationships so he focuses on taking care of the ranch and working at the bar to fill his time. Layla is a painter. We learn early on that she is newly widowed looking for a fresh start, but there were many issues in her marriage. When Layla retreats to the Wilde Ranch to paint and find peace she meets Jax and there is instant attraction. Within a few days they are finding time to hang out more and getting closer. I liked their relationship. One thing I have noticed about Jennifer Ryan is she is great at writing solid relationships with good communication. They have such respect for one another. I love how Jax was always okay when Layla was in the zone painting. There were many small moments that really made this book, and relationship come together. I will say, for me this book felt a bit insta love. They had known each other for two days and were practically together. The suspense and secrets were good throughout the book. I like how not everything was revealed at once. I am really curious who will get the next book in the series. It seems it could be Melody but I am still secretly hoping for Arai, and Masons brother/fbi agent Nick.

Thank you NetGalley, Jennifer Ryan and Avon Harper Voyager for the free eArc in exchange for an honest review!
