I read this a while ago but I never posted my review. Really enjoyable with a vampire/Snow White spin I never read again.

A twisted fairytale, Snow White rendition complete with a Vampire Queen and the Hunter.
Given this is a YA work, a collection of Workman’s shorter stories rolled into one, for those on the Horror/Paranormal bent this would be great. For me, I was not so involved. The length of the work certainly leads into the Publisher’ handle.

First off, I loved the Snow White twist, with Snow White being a revenant, and turning into a vampire. I loved the brothers and Professor Pops, and Cinderella (Cindy). Not too fond of Christopher (Chace) Charming, but I feel like I will learn more about him in the following books, and I'm looking forward to that.

Unfortunately, I thought the writing itself was inconsistent. The book was a very quick read, probably because it was a boxed set that included the first four novellas. I do wish it had been, and I don't know if this will make sense, but just fuller. Things moved so fast and Snow just kind of went, Oh, okay, when I think she should have taken more time to get used to the huge changes that were happening in her life. There were holes in the story, too, but I loved the premise, so I'm going to continue with the series and see if it fills in those holes.

Not a bad series but did feel like it could have been more engaging. The whole time I was reading it I felt like it was missing something. Not one I am likely the recommend if I am honest

This is a very lengthy book since it's a collation of several novellas. They do easily flow together, like a normal book, so no worries there. I have never read a retelling of the Snow White fairytale before. I have to say that Workman really created a fun interpretation of the story. The characters were fascinating and the vampire element added a little something extra.

Sorry I did not get to this book when it was requested. I am cleaning out my netgalley and this is not downloaded on my kindle.
