This was such a funny and cute book! Loved the Rudolph replacements they were trying and the solution they ended up with.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own opinions.

Not even reindeer is safe from AI replacement! Seriously though, the story is a very sweet Christmas story with fun illustrations. Rudolph seems like the one that would get injured before showtime.

When Rudolph sprains his hoove, the elves work to find a replacement. Santa’s New Reindeer is full of cute illustrations and catchy rhymes. This is definitely one I can see being added to my littles bookshelf!

Thank you Faber & Faber and NetGalley for the read now copy in exchange for a review.

SANTA’S NEW REINDEER by Caroline Crowe, and illustrated by Jess Pauwels focuses on the search for a replacement reindeer in the face of Rudolph’s sprained hoof. From a donkey to rabbit, zebra, ostrich and moose no other animal was able to fill in for poor Rudolph until Santa’s head engineer builds a robo-reindeer, the perfect replacement for the injured Rudolph.

Told in several different rhyme schemes but mostly AABB, SANTA’S NEW REINDEER is a fun and enjoyable story for children 4-8 years. The images are colorful and detailed, comedic and humorous. The language and text easy to read . An enjoyable read.

Poor Rudolph sprained his hoof after a fall, and Santa needs someone new to lead his sleigh team. Santa and the elves consider a number of other animals (a moose, hare and zebra all figure), until Lizzie the elf shows Santa what she built: a robot reindeer! With Rudolph remote controlling it, together they manage to save Christmas.

Full of humour and illustrations that are full of energy, this whimsical tale of everyone working together is fun and cute.

Thank you to Netgalley and to Faber & Faber for this ARC in exchange for my review.
