Denise Hunter has been one of my favorites for a long time! (Favorites of hers include Married til Monday and The Goodbye Bride). I loved this one just as much and have already recommended it to several people for their TBR list. My library has a number of patrons who prefer the gentle reads and I know this one will be popular with them. Wish this title had been better formatted for the NetGalley Shelf app.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
I knew about a quarter of the way through this book that it would be an emotional one. Denise has a way of telling a story that reels you in from the start.
Liam is the actor selected to play Chloe’s book character, Ledger. He knows Chloe is not a big fan of his work or supposed life style but he is determined to prove to her that he is the man for the part.
In prepping and planning for the role little do Liam and Chloe know the friendship and love that will grow between them but will one of them betray the other?
Great read and one about forgiveness and love!

I have enjoyed reading the stories that Denise Hunter has told for years and Love,Unscripted was no different. I fell into this story and was swept away by the realness of Chloe and Liam. Chloe has written her debut novel and now it is going to be adapted for the big screen. This is as she puts it "the book of my heart", so for her to be nervous about who is going to be casted to play the main characters is (I would think) to be expected. Liam had a bit of a reputation and not in a good way. When he is set to play Ledger, the steady leading man in Chloe's book, she is not to thrilled about. From their first face to face meeting sparks fly and we begin wonder how this will play out. Both have been wounded by their fathers and are seeking a lasting relationship based on who they really are. The friends and family who back them up are just as well written as Chloe and Liam. I enjoyed this book so very much.
**Thank you to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson for the advanced copy of this book. The opinions in this review are mine.

Denise Hunter’s books are always so enjoyable. This one wasn’t an exception. It was captivating and the characters brought so much flavour to the story. I couldn’t keep it down.
I just wanted to see how the book would end and it did so beautifully.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

I loved watching Liam and Chloe trying to overcome difficulties and hurts from their past. Chloe felt abandoned by her father and was desperate to believe the perfect man existed—she just couldn’t find him. So, she made him up and wrote a book about him. Liam was trying hard not to become like his own father who “loved them and left them.” A couple of twists at the end set up the perfect finale for the story. Engaging right to the end!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Denise Hunter has pinned another winner! Chloe and Liam are adorable and gave me all of the feels. Since Chloe is the author of a best seller turned movie and Liam is the leading man in the movie, I think Hallmark should definitely be grabbing the rights to this story pronto. I love how much research the author puts into her stories. She speaks from experience because she has written novels turned into movies and she always visits the locations of her books. A feel good romance novel, everyone will enjoy!

Love, Unscripted is another great beach read by Denise Hunter. Chloe Anderson has created the perfect boyfriend in her debut novel, one she doesn't expect she will ever meet in real life. She feels that no actor can portray him accurately, certainly not playboy Liam Hamilton. After an embarrassing meeting, they realize they may be able to help each other's public image with a fake relationship. But the fakeness soon turns to love until the paparazzi spills Chloe's life secret and it breaks them apart.
I enjoyed Love, Unscripted. It's a traditional Hallmark style romance that people will enjoy when they want a lighthearted story.
I received a complimentary copy of Love, Unscripted thanks to Thomas Nelson Publisher and NetGalley, but all opinions are my own.

I really loved this story about Chloe and Liam. Hunter always writes the best books. This book showed how important trust is in a relationship. Chloe had a hard time with relationships. When Liam suggested a PR relationship Chloe agreed. Liam was the actor in a movie that was about a book that Chloe wrote. Little did they know that the fake relationship was becoming a reality and how were they going to deal with it. Sean, Chloe's brother was one of those people who couldn't commit to a relationship until he fell for her best friend Megan. THIS IS A GREAT READ.

I'm a fan of Ms. Hunter's stories, and this one didn't disappoint as usual.
A story of two souls who have trust issues from childhood, this one centers around a famous movie star (Liam) and a newly published, successful fiction writer (Chloe).
I really liked both characters, probably (surprisingly to me) the movie star, Liam, a little more for his unexpectedly sweet and caring nature. As a member of the "fake relationship" trope, I felt this one explored the characters' pasts and personal insecurities a bit more than the average which gave it a breath-of-fresh-air depth. And as an added bonus, the denouement and ending were especially satisfying.
My sincere thanks to the author, NetGalley and HarperCollins Christian Publishing for providing the free early arc of Love, Unscripted for review. The opinions are strictly my own.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic comedy! First time author Cloe Anderson has never met a man that will stay. She is fresh off a bad breakup, when she has an inspiration to write the perfect hero. Her story resonates with women, becomes wildly successful, and is being made into a movie. She is NOT happy to hear that actor and playboy Liam Hamilton has been cast in the role of her perfect book boyfriend and she lets the executive director know she is horrified with the choice, only Liam is present when the call is on speaker phone. Definitely not a 'meet cute'!
I actually love how they began, and how she wasn't star struck or impressed with him. She treated him as a normal person even if she may have believed every tabloid report about him.
Besides being a fun story of convenience (fake romance) to help the movie, there is a sweet friendship that develops. The reader is invited to walk along with the characters in a journey of self discovery, forgiveness, self-giving love, and the realization that more than once they need to learn the lesson of trusting one another.
Fans of Denise Hunter will really enjoy her latest story! I recommend to lovers of romantic comedy!
Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.

Chloe Anderson has written her 1st book and it's a best seller and is being made into a movie. When they choose Liam Hamilton a known bad boy for the role of the hero, she is not happy. Liam hears her complaints about his being cast for the role, so they are off to a rocky start. The filming is taking place in Chloe's hometown and Liam comes a week early to check out the town and he meets Chloe, and they strike a deal. She will be his fake steady girlfriend and he will play the role just like she has written it. As time spent together, they grown close; but neither are really interested in a relationship. Along the way there is a lot of misunderstandings and media influence in their time together.
I have read other books by Denise Hunter and will say his is not one of my favorites. Overall, it is a well written book.

This story is about a romance author (Chloe) whose book becomes a huge hit and is being turned into a hollywood movie. Her male.MC really resonates with her audience and she is concerned that the hollywood bad boy/philanderer is not the right pick for the role. Liam has a bad boy image that needs a little cleaning up. His manager suggests a fake relationship for a little while so that he projects the image of calming down his philandering ways. He feels sparks with Chloe and sees a way where they can help each other out whilst he is in town for a few months filming her book.
The beginning of this book had me giggling a fair bit, I found Liam to be a character with plenty of depth and was really drawn to him. Chloe is a passionate person who wants the best for her work. These two characters gel really well and the flow of the book is fantastic. Both characters have trust issues and reading them open up is lovely. I enjoyed this sweet romance.

Do you remember the movie Weird Science where the guys created the perfect woman? Imagine a writer writing her perfect boyfriend into a character in her first book. The book becomes a movie, and the man cast as the perfect boyfriend? Hollywood's biggest "player". How will anyone buy him as this perfect boyfriend? How about some lessons from the book's author? Hijinks ensue! This was super cute, and very picturesque. It made me long for the North Carolina beach, and I've never been there!

At the reccomendation of a friend, she highly suggests Denise Hunter as an awesome author. Boy was she right, this is am amazing book! This is my first Denise Hunter read. A book for me, that was so difficult to put down, reading it so amazingly fast, as it kept my interest and could not wait to see what would happen in each chapter.
It takes place in a small southern town. The author of a romance novel gets her book made into a movie. All the characters are so heartwarming and this book teaches you to really get to know someone. You really get to learn what goes into the makings of movies. What a wonderful relationship between all of the characters.
Denise Hunter, your book has gotten my attention really big. I plan on reading many more of your books and highly recommend you as a wonderful author.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book prior to publication. It was so much an honor to read : "Love, Unscripted".

Love, Unscripted is a story that will take you on a journey, that takes you to a small community, the glamour of Hollywood, a movie set, a family owned restaurant, the paparazzi, and friends determined to help you go through the things you have to go through. I loved reading the book and seeing how it all could blend together, and bring them all to where they are now.
I received an ARC from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley.

I received an advanced reader’s copy through Netgalley, although the opinions are my own.
A very good friend of mine introduced me to Denise Hunter’s books for Christmas last year. I love the sweet little stories, a pallet cleanser if you will. I got to meet her at a book signing and found her to be a lovely person- and I could be easily persuaded to read any of her work.
I personally, like the stand alone novels- because I can read it and enjoy it and move onto the next heavier read. And I really like the stories about writers- or bookstore owners 😊 This one was no different- I loved how she crafted the hero she needed when she wrote the original book and then how he was eventually fleshed out. I cried when he’s on the press circuit, and then at the movie premier. I loved this one!

Denise has done it again! A beautiful story of learning to trust, forgiveness, and love in a small town setting. I loved it and I think fans of Denise Hunter will love it as well!

Hollywood comes to North Carolina when Chloe Anderson's novel is made into a movie. Chloe is not happy with the actor chosen to be the lead character; Hollywood's heartthrob and playboy, Liam Hamilton. She will do whatever it takes to ensure Liam performs his part to perfection - including faking a relationship with him. Love Unscripted is a delightful book about small-town life, friendship, and a bit of romance. Denise Hunter has once again given us an excellent reason to forgo all housework and curl up to read a good book. Thanks to the author, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley. I received a complimentary copy of this ebook. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Chloe is an author whose dreams are coming true- her book is being turned into a movie! And it will be filmed in her small, quaint town: Stillwater Bay in coastal North Carolina. Chloe is over the moon excited but when she hears who is playing the main male character, her heart is dismayed. It’s Hollywood’s ultimate playboy, Liam Hamilton. Liam goes against everything Chloe has pictured for the movie and she doesn’t want his reputation tainting her big hopes and dreams. She holds nothing back letting her producer know she does not like this match but oops, the call is on speaker phone as Liam is listening in.
Meanwhile, Liam’s agent is putting together a brilliant PR plan to ensure Liam’s image is seen in a more favorable light. There’s only one catch: it involves Chloe fake dating Liam the entire filming of the movie. Chloe with her wholesome persona will give Liam a brand new public profile… Chloe and Liam have had a rocky start already, can they really pull off a fake relationship, too?
I loved this clever, light-hearted plot! Denise Hunter skillfully weaves together hilarious situations and unexpected twists that had me laughing out loud. From the disastrous first speaker phone call to their awkward first face to face meeting, every chapter was brimming with delightful surprises.
Both Chloe and Liam have the best chemistry together, Chloe is skeptical and has some abandonment issues that she takes out on Liam but he is kind and respectful of Chloe, debunking all the gossip she’s ever heard in the news… it’s a sweet love story at its very core featuring the power of trust and forgiveness.
This is the perfect book to get lost in, bring on vacation or just snuggle in with on a cold winters afternoon. Small town vibes meets Hollywood motion pictures in this feel good romantic comedy that will leave you with that warm and fuzzy feeling!

Thank you Net Galley for the complimentary kindle edition of Love, Unscripted by Denise Hunter. This review is 100% my personal opinion and will contain spoilers of the title mentioned.
This title is set in a small-town where everyone knows everyone and you can garner the feeling throughout the novel. Chloe published her first book and it was being turned into a movie. She had high hopes for the movie and its success, but she had no idea how things were going to go with Hollywood star, Liam Hamilton. He rolls into town to play her idea of what a boyfriend should be in Ledger and she is none to happy about the star as he has quite the past of his own.
Chloe comes to know Liam and realizes the media does not portray him as Liam, but as some Hollywood star moving from one girl to the next. But Chloe has a secret she has never told anyone, except Liam and it is exploited for the tabloids to print. Broken-hearted she doesn't know why Liam would divulge this secret for the world to read, but then she finds out it was her bestie who owns up to the mistake.
After filming is completed, Liam takes the first flight out of this small town and heads back to L.A. Both are crushed from his departure, but neither were willing to swallow their pride and talk through the tiff they had. Chloe did the unthinkable and blocked his number.
I absolutely loved this title. Regardless of the ending, the characters were well developed and loveable. Instantly, I could tell Chloe was going to be a fun character and I could not wait to see the blooming romance between her and Liam, but it didn't go how I expected which is what I loved about it. A secret arrangement to date for publicity purposes and to boost their image was a great idea, until love happened and then the tabloids learned of their scandal. This kept Chloe tucked away at home while Liam darted off after filming was wrapped up.
Denise does a great job of having numerous characters, but really honing in on this pair of Chloe and Liam which I enjoyed. Sometimes too many characters just turns me away from a book because it is too many to keep track of, but when they focus the budding romance on just one couple it makes the story richer. Also, the storyline flows really well, it does have any time swaps which is also complimentary to this novel.
Great read!
