My Thoughts 🌊
I did NOT expect that ending!! I kept writing down my theories as I listened but none of them were right 😅. The story is told from multiple points of view and I didn’t find it confusing at all. The narrators were so good at telling the story that I finished it in less than a day. If you want a quick and addictive listen, I recommend this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this Advance Reader Copy. All opinions are my own.

Mae and here family go to the beach each year, to the spot where they lost her brother when she was a child. This year her parents are unable to go, so her husband and best friend decide to surprise her with a cruise.
Things take a turn and nothing is like they planned.
It is fast paced and twisty and was a solid 4 star for me until those last few chapters and that unbelievable twist.
Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Lists of twists and turns throughout and definitive shock at the very end I didn’t see coming!

I was swept up in this one from the very beginning. A gripping suspense set upon a cruise ship, what could go wrong? How about everything. I've always wanted to go on a cruise, but this book brought to life all of my worst case cruise scenarios. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and did not see any of the twists coming. Kiersten Modglin has done it again! I highly recommend this and especially on audio.

The audiobook was great! I listened at 1.5x speed and it was easy to understand. There were multiple narrators and each captured their characters emotions perfectly! I always love Kiersten Modglin's audiobooks. Dreamscape Media does really well with casting! This is one I'd definitely recommend on audio!
Thank you to NetGalley, Kiersten Modglin and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this listen! None of the twists were what I would have expected or could have predicted, which is always fun! The narrators both did a great job. I can’t wait to check out more of Modglin’s work!

May her husband Blake best friend Florence and Florence‘s boyfriend Patton all get together to “celebrate“ a horrible event in Mays life and its anniversary. It seems everyone but may wants to be there but they have a surprise for May a trip on a cruise ship that’s leaving the next day. When boarding the cruise ship a man behind Florence says “is that May?” By the time she turns around the man is gone but later that night at dinner Blake notices a man staring at May it becomes even more suspicious when May goes to the restroom and at the same time the man gets up and intercedes her and it looks as if May knows him but she totally denies she does when returning to the table. When May goes missing the next morning it will be this mysterious man who becomes a suspect but he would just be the first of many. Let me say upfront that I absolutely loved Blake and OMG I know people pick men from romances to be their book boyfriend but I totally pig Blake. I also want to mention this is the second time the author has written about a vacation to commemorate a horrible event in someone’s life and I mean do people really do that? Except for memorials I have never heard of that. Although I find Kiersten Modglin books quite overly dramatic they are books I can never pass up usually books with eye rolling moments are a real pet peeve to me for some reason the authors are so spectacular I can’t get enough of them I thought the first 90% of the book was well done and awesomely told the ending although spectacular had me asking are you serious? OMG still read this book it is so good I loved it and couldn’t stop listening. They had four narrators but one of them isn’t until the very end so it’s mainly may Blake in Florence and these narrators were awesome I thought all of them did a stellar job I especially loved the one who did Florence‘s voice in thought she was brilliant The one who did May‘s voice was also very good and sounded sweet but there was something about the narrator of Florence I really liked and I’ve already mentioned I am so in love with Blake. I won’t say who the fourth narrator is although I guess I can it’s Mays mom, OMG… OMG! There’s a really good book as I said I thoroughly enjoyed it. I want to thank the publisher and Net Galley for my free arc copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

Mae Barlowe’s family usually takes an annual beach trip to reflect on a tragedy. However, this year Mae’s husband Blake, and best friend Florence decide it’s time for a change. They decide to book a couple’s cruise. A week aboard a luxurious ship. Once onboard, a mysterious stranger causes them to ask questions about one another. Then, tragedy strikes again. Who can be trusted?
Kiersten Modglin definitely does not disappoint with this one. She will have you on the edge of your seat with this fast-paced thriller. I listened to this one via audiobook and it had a full cast consisting of Pete Cross, Laura Jennings, Kelli Tager, and Susan C. Hunter. They were all fabulous. I could not stop listening to this one. I kept turning up the speed towards the end as the twists and turns were so good! I give it 4/5 stars.

I thought the audiobook narrators were phenomenal, especially the narrator for Florence! I felt like each narrator did a great job portraying their character as well as doing unique voices for the dialogue. It was a great combo of an amazing story and talented narrators!
The story was such a great read as well. Kiersten Modglin's books are like potato chips to me. I sit there devouring and get to the end and realize I've eaten the whole bag. Reading her books doesn't even feel like reading. I truly love the journey when I'm reading her books.
I am an avid cruiser and I thought Kiersten did a great job with the accuracy of the cruise portion of the story, including things like talking about international waters. It was very well researched.
This book was such a wild ride. I truly didn't see the ending coming, but then when I discovered the ending I realized all of the clues Kiersten had left along the way. One thing I love about her books is although they all have unique endings, they always make sense and don't feel like they came out of no where, which is great for the reader.

Mae, her husband Blake, and best friend Florence are taking a cruise. Mae is hesitant because she really doesn’t trust boats after her brother drowned as a child. Even through her fears she agrees to go. It starts out fine, but then one night Mae doesn’t make it back to her room. Florence and Blake are frantic and can’t seem to get anyone to help them. Will they find Mae? Has someone taken her? Did she end up overboard?
I loved the narration of this book! There were multiple narrators and they made me feel like I was watching a movie. I stayed engaged and enjoyed the whole thing!

"You Can Trust Me" is another hit for Kiersten Modglin. I devoured this book in under 24 hours, unable to press pause on the audio. This is full of plot twists and suspense. The final chapter delivered a jaw-dropping revelation that left me gasping in disbelief. The narration is top-notch and the story had me hooked from the very beginning. If you're in the mood for a fast-paced, suspenseful read with an ending that will leave you stunned, "You Can Trust Me" should be your next pick.

This book needed a TW because of some touchy subjects, but besides that, it was great. This book was a WILD ride. I was not sure how it would play out. It started out slow, but when the pace picked up, it was riveting. It was very twisty and I did NOT see the ending coming. I also very much liked the multiple POVs.

Well dang that ending got me good! This was well done popcorn thriller that kept me entertained from start to finish. While based on the premise it could have been a fairly predictable thriller, the twists were unexpected and it went in an unexpected direction. I’m not sure how believable the story is, but it really was enjoyable enough of a ride that it didn’t matter. The alternating points of view left me unsure of who to trust, which I always enjoy. The audio narration was good as well!

My goodness! What did I just listen to? This book sucked me and had me on the edge of my seat! I'm a huge Kiersten Modglin fan and this book just reiterates all the reasons why! I didn't see the twist coming and my jaw dropped.

Absolutely wild twists as expected with KMod. The audio was done really well and enjoyable. The entire book is fast paced and had me on the edge of my seat.

Mae Barlowe’s older brother drowned when she was 2 years old. It was a devasting boating accident. Each year since his death she and her parents travel to the same beach. Mae only gets one week of vacation a year and she always spends in the same place. This year her parents cannot join her. She, Blake, her husband, Flo, her best friend and Patton, Flo’s boyfriend are at the same beach. Flo and Blake have a surprise for her. They are all going on a cruise. Mae isn’t comfortable with the idea but knowing that Blake had gone to so much trouble she agreed to the cruise.
On board the cruise Mae sees someone from her past. She dances with him and then meets him at the bar for drinks. He walks her to the elevator. No one has seen her since. Did she fall over board? Did she leave of her own free will? Has someone taken her? Blake is frantic to get his wife back. He’d do anything for her.
WOW! This is one of the best books I’ve read this year. I always like to attempt to figure out who is the culprit when I am reading a good book. I missed the mark this time. There were a few things I questioned. Why were the parents so insistent on going to the same beach each summer. It still doesn’t make sense. The final twist in this story (there are many), is shocking. I have so much more to say but that would be spoiling it for other readers.

Mae and her husband and her best friend and current fling board a cruise ship for their annual trip - and then everything goes wrong. Mae is missing and they don’t know who to ask for help, ship security, Mexican authorities, police in Florida where they left from.
And then Modglin starts throwing her trademark twists into the story. There’s always a moment in her books when I think, “I didn’t see that coming!” It happened twice in this one and kept me intrigued the whole way through.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ALC.

Audiobook Review:
You Can Trust Me by Kiersten Modglin
My rating:
4/5
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For Mae’s birthday, her best friend and husband plan a surprise cruise for her. On the first night of the cruise, Mae goes missing and her husband and best friend must try to figure out what happened to her.
This was such a good audiobook! It kept my attention the entire time and I loved the multiple narrators! I truly had no idea how this would end and was pleasantly surprised with all the twists!
I highly recommend this one. This was my second book by this author and I liked this one a lot. I think they call this a popcorn thriller, where you just need to keep going to find out what was happening!
Thank you netgalley and Dreamscape media for this ARC! This will be out November 7th, so definitely add to your TBR!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Fast thriller with twists around every corner! I put this book away in one day. Super fast read. The story grabs and immerses you immediately. The setting a cruise ship, makes for a great backdrop to this story. The main character Mae finds herself on cruise where there are more hidden secrets than on land! Once I thought I had this one figured out, bam! Nope! The ending on this one was fantastic. Solid 4 stars. The audiobook was a pleasure. 3-4 voice actors makes it an easy listen. The narrators do well with voice inflection and they meshed well with each other. I do find the speed at which they talk to be a tad slow so I increase the speed to 1.25 and that seems to be perfect! If you're looking for a fun, fast, thriller- this is it!

Another totally unexpected twist from Kiersten Modglin. I love her books because they are a quick read but really pack a punch! Great book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in advance of publication.

This was a quick listen but it was also completely, absurdly ridiculous and unbelievable. To summarize:
1)- 2-3 year old girl remembers watching her brother drown
2) every year in an absurdly morbid twist they spend a week in the town where the brother drowned
3) she is now 25 years old and married, not to her summer love (guy she met up with every summer for one week)
4) This year her parents can't make the annual trip so her husband and bff surprise her with a cruise
5) Her old love is also on the cruise? Alone?
6) She immediately goes missing
7) Cruise security guy is quite unhelpful and suggests perhaps she just wanted to disappear.... even though the cruise was a surprise to her..
8) suddenly everyone has secrets and is untrustworthily (husband and best friend, who have no depth of personality or character history...)
This was plot driven and not a bad listen (narrators did a good job) but the characters were all super bland and it just was so unbelievable and not that thrilling/suspenseful.
