The next installment of Narwhal and Jelly are here! In this one, Narwhal has broken his tooth! He and Jelly go find help and learn the importance of taking care of your teeth. This would be a fun way to help teach kids about how important oral hygiene is.

Per usual, this was a good time and I'm ready for the next one!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

A super instalment in the Narwhal and Jelly series. This book follows Narwhal’s loose tusk/tooth and the worries that come along with it. With great advice on taking proper care of teeth, parents and kids alike will love this book! Author Ben Clanton has hit another one out of the park. Thanks to NetGalley, Penguin Random House/Tundra Imprint and the author for an advance copy of this book - opinions are my own. Highly recommend this series for beginning readers!

Thanks to Netgalley and Penguin Random House Canada for the ARC of this!

My kid and I are huge fans of Narwhal and Jelly, and he loved this, but I was shocked and horrified at the plot regarding Narwhal's tooth (my own fault, I have dental anxiety and maybe didn't read the synopsis first - because we just in general love this series). I totally get what they were going for, showing the importance of dental health!

This was just fantastic!!

Narwhal and Jelly are two of my favorite kids book characters and they never fail to disappoint [incuding this new edition].

Narwhal has a serious problem [and it is not just that he is incapable of frowning!] and it is up to Jelly and all their ocean friends to find a solution and help their friend Narwhal out.

This is a cute story about friendship, over-doing sweets and taking care of our teeth; it was just delightful from beginning to end. I absolutely love the illustrations and those alone will keep littles coming back to this story again and again!

Very well done!

Thank you to NetGalley, Ben Clanton, and Penguin Random House Canada/Tundra Books for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

My kids were so excited for a new Narwhal and Jelly to come out! They especially liked the song and have been singing and giggling to it today. As a parent. This book is enjoyable and fun to read along with them!

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for the ARC.

4/5⭐️

Reviewed in the words of my 9 year old:

I really enjoyed the story line and the fact that there were two story lines to follow, it kept the book really interesting. The author also added lots of humour and it made me laugh a lot! The story had me wondering about narwhals in real life and whether there is truth behind some of the things that happened to narwhal in the story and whether it can actually happen in real life. Overall, I loved this book and would definitely recommend it to all of my friends (I already have) and any other kids looking for a great story!

Narwhal and Jelly are back! I was so excited to see this book about dental hygiene! Narwhal had developed quite the sweet tooth (tusk) and realizes it has led to a bad tooth ache. With the help of Jelly and other familiar friends Narwhal learns the proper way to care for his tooth. This includes brushing for an extended time and flossing. This graphic novel is a great addition to the series and will make conversations with kids about dental care a lot easier and more fun! I’d recommend this for ages 5 and up.

Another highly entertaining read featuring the beloved characters Narwhal and Jelly! This latest instalment in the series by Ben Clanton centres on teeth and oral hygiene. From other sources, the topic might come across as mundane, but when brought to you from the world of Narwhal and Jelly, dental health is anything but boring!

This book is laugh out loud funny, filled with adorable illustrations, and perfectly suited to young readers. Highly recommend!

Kind thanks to Penguin Random House Canada, Tundra Books, NetGalley, and the author for an advanced reading copy of Narwhal's Sweet Tooth.

These books are always a hit in my classroom. The students love the characters and the illustrations. This will be a great addition to a graphic novel section in your library. All students can relate to the topics in the book and the story is told in an amusing way which will hook young readers.

We love Narwhal and Jelly, so we’re always excited to see a new book of their adventures. This one was a cute way to talk a little about tooth health. It wasn’t quite as funny as previous books in the series, but my son and I still enjoyed it!

This series is just the best— funny, sweet, and I always come away learning something new. This storyline was silly like usual, but I think it will delight and entertain young readers.

Uh-oh! Narwhal has a sweet tooth and now his tusk has broken! Good for helping kids understand the importance of brushing and losing their baby teeth.

I love love love the Narwhal and Jelly series and this is a great addition to the bunch! The focus on teeth was super fun and also a timely topic for this age group when kids are starting to lose teeth, become independent about brushing, and perhaps going to the dentist for bigger teeth issues for the first time. I always love how this series weaves in the typical experiences of kids of this reading age to normalize what they’re dealing with by matching it up with the cutest odd couple pairing in kidlit!

Ben Clanton is one of our favorites, with his Narwhal and Jelly being top tier. Narwhals Sweet Tooth did not disappoint. Perfect for summer reading. We will definitely be adding to our collection!

I received an electronic ARC from Penguin Random House Canada through NetGalley.
Narwhal and Jelly return for their ninth book of adventures. This time Narwhal's tusk has broken and is close to falling off. Jelly learns that Narwhal has been munching on all sorts of sweets which probably weakened the tooth. Readers see them look for a way to fix it. Along the way, they connect with friends and work on teaching Narwhal to frown when he is sad. By the end, Shark has taught them how to take care of their teeth and maintain good oral hygiene. Love the message for readers that flows through the whole story. The comic included at the end brings dental health up front for readers. As always, these characters are delightful and continue to grow.

Who doesn’t love a cute and funny narwhal?!?! We enjoyed the comic book vibes of this book and it kept my kids laughing and making comments about how silly Narwhal and Jelly are together. Even though it’s a fun goofy book, I liked that there were facts shared about the animals and an emphasis on dental hygiene. Kids of all ages will enjoy this book and it’s a great little family read.

Ben Clanton's name speaks for his work, and this lastest additional is equally as refreshing, sweet and just an adorable story. I will never not be a fan of Narwhal and Jelly.
