As a lover and big fan of Christmas and Christmas books I must say this was a book that got me in the Christmas mood. What a lovely and pleasurable book to read. A book that will make you feel good, make you smile and also make you break out the Christmas decorations.

Love the characters and the romance, love that it is one of those easy to read holiday books and I read it in a matter of hours. This is a cosy, lovely, sweet holiday read. 3 1/2 stars bordering on 4 stars.

Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was a very simple romance novel, I don't fully understand why it is called a Christmas Truce... I ended up DNFing as it didnt feel christmassy.

Adorable
Libby has been a temp flitting between jobs for a long time but finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman made her accept a live in personal assistant position with millionaire Seth and when golden retriever puppy Barney arrives things start to change
I really enjoyed this book, Libby is an ordinary person and a character who I could get behind and start to bond with quite quickly and I loved her relationship with Barney, it showed the power of having a bond with an animal and how that can impact your life. Her relationship with Seth is a lot more complicated and she is in denial about a lot of her feelings throughout the book, even when there are hints of him making changes for her
I think the main thing that would have made me enjoy this book more and that would make it one that stuck in my mind a long time after I read it would be to have had Seth’s point of view written into the story as he comes across as distant for the majority of the book so that did impact my opinion of it
My favourite character does have to be Barney, he is fun and full of energy with that special brand of puppy mischief that made me smile over and over and made me fall in love with him very quickly
I will add that although the bill is primarily set in November and December, Christmas is only really mentioned in the last few chapters so it is a book you could read at any time of the year and still enjoy it
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a slow burn romance with a cast of characters who you will love

A beautiful read. I didn’t want this book to end. A story of how girl Friday Libby takes on a live in role with Seth. They have ups and downs as the live in work life develops with the help of a new little pup called Barney.

A cute Christmas read. I actually wish this book was longer because it seemed a bit rushed at the end.

This quick holiday read is a great choice for those who love Hallmark style films. It is short and sweet with engaging characters, especially Barney the pup. The connection between the Libby, girl Friday to Seth a handsome millionaire, was subtle but evident from the start. If you’re looking for an easy to read book to curl up with during the busy holiday season this low spice book with a cute story line is a good choice.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I decided to read this instead of watching a Christmas movie and it did not disappoint! It was a fun romance that kept me hanging on until the end! I really enjoyed this and made the Christmas holidays even more!

This was a sweet christmas read, perfect to end the year with! I enjoyed the story and the writing. Barney the dog was precious. The ending was a bit rushed and I would’ve liked an epilogue or something more at the end but overall nice read.

I absolutely loved this grumpy/sunshine book! Libby is having a hard time figuring out what she wants to do for a living, she bounces from one temporary job to the next. Then one day she walks in on her boyfriend and another woman! Right before Christmas! She then decides to take a job as a personal assistant to a very wealthy but grumpy man. Fortunately for her this is a live in position and she really loves the job. However she just doesn't love her new boss. But the more she gets to know Seth the more her feelings for him change.

This is a really cute Christmas read. In this story we follow the main character who jumps from job to job through temp work and then gets a job working for a boss who is secretive but because of life circumstances she needs to work for because the job includes housing and a car. She grows to love the job and possibly the boss that comes with it. I liked this story a lot - it was a very cute and short read and I recommend for those that like a good closed door romance.

This is a cute romance read.

The storyline did feel ‘predictable’ at times but it was still a light and enjoyable read. I enjoyed the grumpy/ sunshine and forced proximity aspects. Barney the dog added some extra humour to the story too!

I would have liked a longer ending but that’s just my preference.

Overall a fun quick and enjoyable festive romance read.

A cute christmas read. An epilogue would have been good. . . . . .

This was 50% cute, 50% infuriating. Every man was rude and annoying. Seth did learn and develop and will congratulate him for his growth, but initially he was Not Great™️. The ending was just very convenient? I was hoping it would be more Christmassy too. The timeline felt off - like she'd been there days when it felt like weeks so I assumed Christmas had been and gone but then there was a work Christmas party and the rest of Christmas stuff still to go. It was alright. Thank you to netgalley for the arc.

This was a pretty good read.

I struggled both to get into the writing and characters and to stay interested in the story at times so it took awhile for me to finish. Overall, however, the book was a fun holiday read.

Laughter, cosiness and Christmas feels all in one package!
Barney was adorable, Seth improved as the story went on an Libby's taking it all in her stride.
Enjoyable, sweet Christmas romance in a semi-work environment.
