This is a wonderful book! This would be perfect for a read aloud, just one item at a time, and then discuss. The book gives scenarios of what all children go through and how they can see how others deal with it. Nervousness, jealousy. The big things that would help to see how others act.

Thoughts:
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is a great book to teach young children how to handle big, confusing emotions with characters they can relate to without judgement.

Favourite Quote:
"Don’t be angry so easily, anger will not help you live a goodlife. You’re quick to point out what your sister has done wrong, but, you need to also look at the bad things you have done too. So, take a deep breath and pick up your things."

This is a book aimed at teaching children how to manage strong emotions through a series of 5 stories which explore different aspects of how a child may be feeling. The stories are based on adaptations of Bible stories and seek to impart the wisdom that can be found in those earlier tales.

Among the issues examined are anger, frustration, noise levels, and jealousy. The stories explain to children how they may choose to view things differently and handle these difficult emotions in a more constructive way.

The illustrations portray diversity and go well with the stories.

A really reassuring book for children under ten. The themes that each chapter takes on are suitable for that age and are issues that little ones will be confronted with often - who hasn’t lost their mum’s ring while playing, or had to do something like queue up whilst a littler sibling is along to go off and play instead of waiting?
The art work is lovely and is diverse and welcoming, The words are clear and my little one loved being read this.
