We're always up for a good monster book. This one fit the bill! The little ones loved this silly monster bedtime book.

This book is perfect for Halloween and even better for anytime. I know our bedtime can sometimes feel like we are all little monsters. My son loves monsters and this book was perfect for him. This fun story was a great way to make bedtime routine fun. We learn why each fun and even silly monster stays up late before getting ready for bed. The illustrations were so loveable and entertaining. We saw something new each time we read the book. It was so creative. We love the vampire who is up late to brush his teeth and the mummy who can’t sleep a wink. Every character was so fun and creative and we loved finding out all about their reasons for staying awake. This was an ARC for us but we will be adding it to our everyday home library because its perfect for our bedtime routine.

My kids absolutely loved this one. We’ve already read it numerous times and I’ll definitely be looking at adding it to their collection! The illustrations are cute and bright despite being full of monsters. I loved all the reasons they’d stay up as well. I particularly loved the last monster they included.

Adorable little children’s book and especially great for Halloween time. My little one absolutely loved it.

Five stars. Monsters are always a hit to our family. I have my own lite wolf cub that doesn’t like to sleep.

Cute little story. The illustrations are nice, there's humor, it has sweet spooky vibes, and is a nice short read for kids.

This was fabulous. The book names various monsters like vampires and witches, and werewolves and asks, “why do they stay up late”. The answer is almost always something mundane, but still fun. Plus, the illustrations are just the icing on this cake. I do wish the cover was as eye grabbing as the rest of the illustration, but his is a book that will get read over and over again.

An absolute delight for children and parents alike. This charming book takes us into the whimsical world of bedtime for monsters, and it's a journey you won't want to miss. Each page is filled with colorful illustrations and endearing characters, from the witch on her broomstick to the meticulous Frankenstein.
As a parent, I appreciate how it subtly encourages children to embrace their own bedtime rituals. The story is engaging, the illustrations are captivating, and it's the perfect addition to any bedtime routine.

Hey there, fellow parents! I just stumbled upon the cutest bedtime book ever - Why Do Monsters Stay Up So Late? by Fran Bravo. Seriously, it's a game-changer. This book is not your typical bedtime story; it's a riot of colors and quirky monsters that'll have your kids giggling from start to finish.
The best part? It's not just fun; it's a sneaky way to get your little night owls excited about their own bedtime routine. The monsters' antics are so relatable that your kiddos won't even realize they're learning something. So, if you want to make bedtime a blast and instill a little routine into the mix, grab this book today. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Why Do Monsters Stay Up So Late is a cute kids book featuring different monsters and the reasons they stay up late. I think it would be cute for 2-4-year-olds but found it a bit simplistic. I really liked the structure that you had to turn the page to find out why the monster was staying up late and that it asked why the reader stays up late at the end. This would be a cute part of a boo basket or Halloween gift.

This was quite a simple story and it does have a few cute illustrations but it was a miss for me as a mum as I would have expected there to be a little more content and the story didn’t really make that much sense as the characters are ones that should be out at night, not in bed.
I read the book with my daughter and she was happy just reading it once and when I asked a few nights later if she wanted us to read it again she said no, which unfortunately is a bit telling as if she really enjoys a book, or even just likes it, she wants to read the same one over and over again.
This is just my view but it might be more of a hit with other children.
It is 3 stars from me for this one.

A very cute Halloween story! My kids loved it and thought it was very funny. My favorite thing was the artwork. I did feel like some of the descriptions kind of ran on a bit and could've been simpler, but it didn't seem to bother my kids.

**Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this e-copy in exchange for an honest review**
This one was a miss for me. Most of these monsters would actually be active at night, not getting ready for bed then if they did need sleep. They are also portrayed as cute, cuddly, and nice, even though that wouldn't be true as the folklore goes.
I did like the illustrations.

Why Do Monsters Stay Up So Late? Is a sweet bedtime book during the Halloween season. Children will giggle at all of the reasons why different monsters stay up late, and maybe even add their own reasons to stay up late. I would recommend to any family that wants a fun book to read and celebrate Halloween.

Such a cute read for Halloween season! Why do Monsters Stay Up So Late? was perfect for my toddler. He loved it so much that he made me read it to him twice.

Why do vampires, witches and skeletons stay up late? Well, it's not for the reasons you may think. This book is absolutely adorable. I love seeing children's books that show monsters in a kinder way, its important for kids to see that not everything is as it seems and to eliminate some of the fears. Plus this book will have them laughing and smiling. The reasons the monsters stay up are funny and creative and have perfect illustrations to go along with them.
