Abby Jimenez is getting all the recognition she deserves these days. I loved this one, like I knew I would. Every time I read a new release of hers, it makes me want to go back and reread them all. The Easter eggs make me giddy.

Another hit by Abbey! I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I swooned! I felt every emotion under the sun.

The BANTER in this book! Perfection! This book had everything I ever wanted in a book and more. One thing I love about Abbey’s writing is how realistic the couple’s relationship is. It feels authentic and draws you in. The communication between Justin and Emma was groundbreaking and really helped develop into who they were together and as themselves.

Abby KNOCKED THIS OUT OF THE PARK!!! What an amazing story! It was so beautifully written. The premise was amazing and very unique, it has the perfect amount of depth and emotion, and the chemistry was palpable. I was rooting for them from the very first chapter. I love how many subplots Abby includes in her books - it's about so much more than just the romance. Both characters had amazing growth, and all the reveals at the end made my jaw drop!!! One of my favorite romances of the year.

The book was healing in a way, especially if you’ve experienced heartbreak from family or romantic relationships and a reminder that you and your life are never beyond “fixing.”

Loved this book! It was right up my alley. From starting off with an AITA reddit post, I was invested! The characters are so well-developed and real, not to mention hilarious at times. The plot is perfect (slightly predictable, but that's par for the course with romance imo).

I have to say one of the reasons I'm so drawn to this book is the main character - I related to her a lot! I can't say I had the same family experience (she was in foster care and I definitely didn't have that experience), but she had a complex relationship with her mother than I can relate to. You see in her adult life that she takes on the responsbility of being the parent to her mother in some ways, and that's not an easy thing to do. Plus our main character had a hard time saying "I love you" and feels like she is on an island with only her select few people (hello is Abby Jimenez spying on my therapy!?).

I love a romance with depth, and this one was packed full of it but still contained the light-hearted witty banter and tangible chemistry that I love in a good romance novel. I think this is a fantastic read for the summer!

Thank you NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the copy in exchange for my honest review!

I absolutely adore Abby Jimenez! She continues to write beautiful vulnerable and real characters whom are so easy to seem parts of yourself in and that my friends is the source of her magic. The stories she tells come with a slice of magic, and a lot of realism that almost feel like it could happen to you, or someone you know. She's an auto buy author for me and I continue to squeal with joy when I see another release on the horizon. Thank you for an early copy Forever Publishing!

I loved this so much. One of my absolute favourite of Abby’s. As an adoptive parent, I was thrilled by the authentic and sensitive portrayal of childhood trauma and also therapy.
Loved loved the relationship, the friendships, and especially Justin, the sweetest of all cinnamon rolls.

Abby Jimenez has become an auto buy author for me. I can always count on her for kicks, giggles, and tears. She takes me on an emotional roller coaster and I never want to get off of it. This one was everything I was expecting. We had multiple tough topics to wade through. Grief, abandonment, incarceration, & just family trauma. We get visits from past characters and that’s always exciting how they all tie in together. I definitely recommend this one and all of her other books.

I had to DNF this title. Unfortunately there is a great deal of content I find very triggering. Providing 3 stars as an average.

Abby Jimenez is an auto-download author for me. Her characters always seem so REAL and complex with real-people problems, and I just want the Part of Your World world to continue on forever.

In this one, Justin and Emma have discovered that they both have the same problem: whenever they break up with someone, the next person their ex dates is the ex's soulmate. So why not try to play the system by dating each other so when they break up at the end of the summer, they'll both meet their respective soulmates? Easy peasy, especially since Emma is a travelling nurse, and the end of her contract means she'll be going somewhere new, anyway.

Except Justin is such a good guy that Emma's not looking forward to saying goodbye at the end of the summer... even though his life is ridiculously complicated as he is taking over guardianship of his 3 younger siblings. And Emma's narcissist mother shows up to complicate her life (and potentially her housing) AGAIN.

Again, I just freaking love the complexity of Emma and Justin. It was a great level of spice! Felt all the feels, so this one gets five stars.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my thoughts!

I really wanted to love this one! And there were a few things that I did love about it, Justin for one. But there were a few things that bothered me about it especially the use of a particular word/phrase that was overused. Also, between the families of both the main characters, there was just a lot going on, it almost felt like it could’ve been two stories. Not my favourite by this author, but I will still continue to read her most likely.

Emma and Maddie are travel nurses who never stay anywhere for more than 6 months. When Emme connects with Justin over a Reddit post, them move to Minnesota “just for the summer”. ARC from NetGalley.

Beautiful! This was such a perfect love story of two people growing and learning together. Abby Jimenez knows how to pack a punch with one liner jokes and also knows how to bring a tear with a poignant speech. Anything this woman writes turns to gold.

Abby Jimenez books mark the start of warm weather and reading outside for me every year, and with this gorgeous cover, enticing title, and even more intriguing plot -- i'm ready for summertime. Right off the bat I was hooked by the hilarious Reddit post, the dynamic between the two leads, and of course the deeper emotions and situations they were coming from. She continues to be a favorite in the romance genre and am sad to wait another year for her next book.

Wow!! This book pulled at every single string of my heart. From the first paragraph, I was delighted and engaged by the AITA post on Reddit that will forever be Justin and Emma’s meet cute! Hilarious!

The characters were so wholly fleshed out that i found myself falling deeply in love with all of them! Maddy, Emma’s best friend, is so fiercely loyal and protective I couldn’t help but love her. The MMC Justin was so tender and everything Emma needed to heal in trust.

Emma’s issues with having a negligent, chaotic mother were so eerily accurate; I can only assume the author KNOWS how personally that kind of neglect affects attachment in the deepest ways. I’m so grateful for that kind of representation in books.

This book broke my heart and made it swoon in equal measure. It’s one of my favorites of the year so far and definitely my favorite of Abby Jimenez (who I love)! Highly recommended summer read!

This was my first Abby and I think I would've benefited more if I would've read the previous in this series. Also, the instalove was truly hard for me to get past and it truly never works for me.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy! Abby's books are auto reads for me. I really enjoy her writing style, pacing, and world building. I think she does a great job of fitting hard topics into the romance genre formula. Part of Your World (book #1) is my most favorite and I think I'm trying to chase that experience with every next book. Because of that, I think that I was a bit thrown by how this book weaves in characters we have met in significant ways. I think we're all familiar with people from the world of the book series having cameos, but I bumped against how this one gave us a lot of back story (and surprise connections) to characters we already knew. I think part of that was because I had forgotten some of the characters from book #1 (having read it a while ago) and felt a little out of the loop when they were brought back. My advice would be to re-read the first two books before you get into book #3.

Abby Jimenez's 'Just for the Summer' is a delightful journey through the ups and downs of love, friendship, family, and the hardships of life.

Some favorite things: I loved Justin, the Golden Retriever MMC, I love a found family trope, and I loved the unbreakable bond between Emma and Maddy. Jimenez doesn't shy away from addressing trauma and mental health, and I love how she depicted it and treated it all with care and obvious research, which added depth and authenticity to the story. I loved
Justin’s surveys. the Toilet King jokes and the witty dialogue that had me lol-ing. Most of all, I just love a nice, neat happy ending, and you better believe I had a 'loser smile' plastered on my face as I eagerly tapped through the last pages on my Kindle, rooting for that happily ever after.

Also, do I kind of want to go to Minnesota, a state I have literally thought about probably twice in my life before reading this book? Kind of. And as for Justin being my new book boyfriend? Well, I kind of already married him 🤣 but his name is Matt and he’s my husband. He would absolutely ride a unicorn raft in a storm across a lake for me. I know, I know, I’m very lucky 🥰

Minus a half a star for using the word “small” and “being small/getting small” as a way to describe becoming withdrawn and anxious a handful too many times. Could’ve done without that.. but rounded up to 5 stars for goodreads.

Loved it!!
Thank you NetGalley

Maybe my favorite romance novel I've read all year. The characters -- their chemistry, their development, all of it -- were phenomenal. I found myself rooting for them at all times, constantly surprised by the twists and turns of this story. There was so much depth and the care with which Abby Jimenez crafted Just for the Summer is so evident. I cannot recommend this book enough. Thank you so much to Forever Pub and NetGalley for my copy.
