Finding a date for her sister's wedding - whether real or fake, she doesn't care - is all Gwen can focus on right now. It's Christmas, and in her perfect family she is the less than perfect one. The whole town of Jasmine Falls knows that Gwen has recently gone through a tough breakup, and she could do without the pity and attention when it should all be on her sister. However, there's no one in town who would agree with her plan, except for her handsome new neighbour, Logan. But he's completely out of her league, even if the way he's acting is making her feel very real feelings.

This was a great holiday romance, really sweet and funny. Perfect to read in the winter months when the weather isn't the best, and you're ready for the Christmas period to start properly. Gwen was a perfectionist, who wanted everything to be right, but her life was working against her. She was a bit of a black sheep in her family, and the added attention on her in the time after her breakup was getting too much. She needed the wedding to go of without a hitch, and convincing Logan to be her date was the only way to do that. I loved how well suited they were, and even if they had different backgrounds, the feelings they developed were so real and true.

One Sweet Holiday is about a sweet story about a bakery owner named Gwen and a billionaire business man named Logan.

I thought this was a really cute story. I felt bad for Gwen that her mom was so wretched to her and that most of the emotional/mental issues that she had in her life were a result of how her mom was - well that and her cheating ex. Then along comes Logan, who had his own fair share of family issues, but he was not lacking the confidence to put up some healthy boundaries. With Logan, Gwen finds her confidence in both life and business. When a family tragedy occurs, both Logan and Gwen have to own their feelings and decide how/if they are going to find a way to make a relationship work.

One Sweet Holiday is a cozy, heartwarming small-town romance perfect for fans of holiday magic and sweet second chances. Lucy Day crafts a charming story filled with festive cheer, community spirit, and a slow-burn romance that feels like a warm cup of cocoa.

The chemistry between the leads is gentle yet magnetic, building through shared traditions, unexpected reunions, and emotional vulnerability. There’s a light touch of humor and just enough tension to keep things interesting without ever getting too angsty.

This book leans clean on the spice scale—more sugar cookie than fireball—but it delivers plenty of warmth and feels. Ideal for anyone looking for a low-drama, feel-good holiday read.

Sweet and sexy with top notch plus-sized representation! As a girl from a Southern small town, this book hit all the right notes without being saccharine or too much like a Hallmark movie.

Absolutely fantastic book that leaves you gripped from start to finish! I couldn’t put it down and often found myself staying up late delving into chapter after chapter! Perfect reading to cosy up to during winter!

While the premise might feel familiar, the chemistry between Gwen and Logan is undeniable, and the witty banter between them keeps the pages turning. Gwen’s self-doubt and Logan’s unexpected vulnerability add layers to their romance, making it more than just a holiday fling although Gwen can be a bit annoying. The small-town charm of Jasmine Falls and the wedding chaos create the perfect backdrop for this feel-good, emotional journey.

Though the plot is predictable at times, it’s the characters’ growth and the heart behind the romance that really shines. A fun, cozy read for anyone in the mood for a Christmas love story with just the right mix of humor and heart.

This book needs to be a Hallmark Christmas movie, it was such a cute Holiday Rom-com! This was such a fun book to read after Holidays because it gave some nostalgia for love in the Holiday season. We loved Logan the MMC he was everything a good MMC should be in a romance book! He was caring and real, he loved Gwen the way she deserved to be loved. It was a reminder that we should all make sure to accept the love we deserve!

Two characters bond over family trouble and unrealistic expectations. I'm this strangers to lovers, Gwen learns that balance is an important part of life, and that it's ok to not only accept help, but ask for it sometimes. And Logan is her patient teacher, as he navigates family conflicts and learns to stand firm as he forged his own path. With a cast of characters who are mostly delightful, and kisses that'll leave you swooning, this is a great book to curl up with.

I like books that make me laugh, and One Sweet Holiday is definitely a book that did just that. Plus a hunky main character with a Scottish accent? Yes, please. Recommended for collections where romance is popular.

i wasn't too struck on this one.

I didn't really connect with the characters or the storyline. it felt very flat and didn't find myself invested in the story. about halfway through i found myself skimming lines and checking how much longer i had in the book.

This was a cute holiday romance. It took me several tries to get into it, and it was a rough one for me to finish because I felt like the story hit a lull. In the end, I am very glad that I stuck it out and read until the end. The happily ever after was adorable and I will miss Gwen and Logan. Thank you to NetGalley for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A relatable female main character who grapples with overthinking? As someone who tends to overanalyze everything, I found this book to be a breath of fresh air! Toss in a charming Scottish billionaire, and you’ve got a story that’s hard to resist. It was exactly the kind of read I needed—fun, engaging, and full of those moments that made me nod in recognition. If you’re looking for a delightful escape that balances humor with relatable struggles, this one’s a must-read! Plus Logan was SWEEEEETTTT!!

Fake dating - one of my favourite tropes!
A sweet Christmas romance that was a little on the predictable side.
Gwen was a little too self-doubting for me. I prefer when female characters arent always so down on themselves.
