In "Healing Hearts at Christmas" Pedro, stepping in for trauma surgeon Nikita, helps her through the holidays as she struggles with PTSD from a bombing. Despite their past, Pedro becomes a rock for Nikita as they work together and rediscover their connection. Set during the holidays, the book offers a heartwarming tale of healing and romance amidst workplace dynamics. Overall, it's an enjoyable read with engaging characters and a touching storyline.

Nikita is a traumatized trauma surgeon dealing with pstd from a bombing. Pedro is a guy from her past who seems to be temporarily taking her place at the hospital. Nikita is so different from the woman he ones new and now he wants to do everything he can to get her through the holidays and back to her job that she loves. The thing is both of their hearts were in jeopardy knowing that this is only temporary.

This is a pretty good book I really enjoyed it. This is actually a great time to start picking up this book being that it does take place during the holidays. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing how they work together at the workplace as well as seeing them warm up to each other again. It was interesting seeing the rock Pedro was becoming for Nikita to slowly get back into the workforce. It was also the bit of romance I was going on between the two. Overall this is a pretty good book I'm really interested.

I liked Nikita and Pedro's story. Second chances are a wonderful thing especially where love is involved. He's from her past and is able to help her face her/their future. Nice holiday read
