A book I will recommend again and again. A captivating read with great characters and storyline.

Very good read. Kept me reading and I think it is a great series. I wish this story was a full length book. I really enjoyed the souls of the stones series so it was nice to have another book explaining the history of the stones.

The story happened so quickly that the characters and world was not as developed sufficiently to make me believe in the relationship between Ciorstan and Fidwen. Because of this, I just was not emotional invested in the fates of the characters. Additionally, the resolution in the epilogue was weakest of all. For me, “Severed Stone” can best be described as a o.k. read and not much more.

Requested and downloaded this book back in 2013 with every intention of reading it but then it expired on my device before I had the chance. Have felt bad about that and as a result haven't wanted to leave a review but with more and more publishers relying on Feedback ratings I need to clear out some of these older titles in my queue.

This book was pretty good.
Vague I know, but I found the writing style to be stiff, the language used was rather stuffy and the pacing was a little off.
People who love Victorian or Gothic styled books will love Severed Stone.

This is i understand a prequel to the main story and provides us insight into how the world we are to read has come to its current predicament. That the land was divided up into three after a spurned sorceress bewitches her own daughter and a prince into falling in love and thereby setting into motion catastrophic events.
The novella moves quickly and you get to understand the three princes and their temperaments along with things have come to pass.
