Lillian Jenkinson Holder was a queen among men. Peach takes us along on a journey from her childhood start with farm horses through her very interesting career on race horses. She seems to have been an amazing person and went through quite a bit in her life. This was a very interesting read and I think it will even appeal to non horse people.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
This was a well researched biography but it didn’t have a lot in addition to the research. It was a lot of facts thrown at you but nothing extra.
A biography needs that extra so you can better identify and understand the person being written about.

I was hoping for a snowman. I didn’t particularly like the characters, not sure if it was the way they were presented or that they just weren’t thar appealing. Would not recommend the book. Facts figures and dates with little to flesh it out.
