Brendan DuBois' Lewsi Cole series has become one of my favorite series. Deadly Cove is book #7 in the series. It can be read as a stand alone, but you'd miss the character development and some of the back history that makes Lewis Cole such a great character. Cole is a journalist but his background contains the perfect credentials for a man to be investigating the many criminal acts visted upon Cole and is friends. The story moves quickly with clues leading to suspects, then changing quickly to someone else. Full of action, ther are no boring chapters or places you need to page through. The book has the feel of an early Grisham book. 5 easy stars.

Warning: This book is actually from 2011, so technology is out of date. It's also part of a series, so there isn't a real ending. The writing is good however, and the plot could easily be from 2023.
