4.5 Stars! What a fantastic read! This is the 3rd book in the ‘Synneful Spinsters’ series and can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed reading this book. I don’t know how she does it, but author Christina Britton pulls the reader in and gets you emotionally invested in the outcome of the main characters, Iain & Seraphina. I was rooting for them to reconcile. I do wish they had talked more about their years apart and I wish they had paid back her father for his wrongdoings more than what there was. Other than that, this was a great read. A guard parrot, a missing “dead” wife, a stable boy turned Duke, loving sisters and friends, sexy ‘sexy times’, a divorce, an evil father, missing family, and a second chance romance with an HEA ending. It’s a very entertaining book and I’d highly recommend.
*I received this book at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*

As always, author Christina Britton gives readers everything we’re looking for in historical romance. Here we have second chance, class difference, enemies-to-lovers; all of my favorite tropes. While the plot might be a bit fantastic to believe (Everyone gets a Duke? Really?), the emotional struggle is real, and that’s all that matters to me.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

Seraphina is a gentleman’s daughter who falls in love and secretly elope with her father’s stable hand. As Seraphina goes to say her goodbyes to her sisters and start her new life with Ian, she never returns to where they’ve agreed to meet. Ian is later informed she changed her mind about him and decided to travel. She is revealed to have later died.
It’s been 13 years since that fateful day Seraphina left him. Ian is now the Duke of Balgair and no longer the poor, young man he once was. Ian memory of betrayal returns upon receiving a letter informing him that Seraphina is alive and the memories of her betrayal flood back. Ian is intent on finding Seraphina and obtaining a divorce. Ian finds Seraphina and notices she’s not the woman she once was either. Life has changed her since they have last met. As the former lovers reunite to get divorced, Ian and Seraphina begin to unravel what went wrong and explore their misunderstandings and events that tore them apart.
I really enjoyed this book once I got into the story. The story is both a second chance romance and a pinch forbidden lovers (would have loved the class issues explored more). If you like forced proximity and the only one bed trope, this book definitely delivers as much of the story takes place while they travel in Scotland. I loved the parallels to the gothic romance genre. I wish the story connected more with that aspect as it is fairly relevant to the story in different layers.
Overall, I do recommend this read! It was a refreshing, historical romance. I didn’t expect the gothic romance parallels and it’s made me want to revisit some gothic romance novels.
I received an advanced reader’s copy through NetGalley.

This is a nice second chance love story. It is about Iain and Seraphina. Iain worked on Seraphina’s father’s land in Scotland, Seraphina’s Father thought he was beneath her and did not want them together. But Seraphina fell in love, and then they married. The problems start after that. Around 13 years later Iain is now a Duke and is looking for his wife. I do not want to really tell you too much more because it can be a spoiler. This is a well written story and the time flies by while reading this story.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and I am leaving my honest opinion.

Iain and Seraphina married when they were young but were separated by the machinations of Seras father who is an earl.
13 years later, Iain has discovered a family and is now a Duke. He needs to marry and produce an heir, but finds out that Sera is alive.
He gets Sera to come with him to Scotland to give him a divorce. Over the course of the travel, they sort of the misunderstanding of their separation and rediscover their passion and love.
But Sera is hung up on all the bad things from her past and does not give Iain a second chance, until she is made to see sense.
Very emotional. Iain is a doll and works through his emotions. Sera is very closed off and she annoyed me. For someone to have gone through all she did and to come out of it successfully, I thought she was a bit of a coward.
Pacing of this book was good. Initially, I was put off with all the brogue, but a few chapters of getting used to it had me flipping pages quickly to finish the book.

Iain and Seraphina are young loves and are married before they are ripped apart. Each blames the other for their separation and harbor a lot of animosity towards the other. Iain wants a divorce so Seraphina travels with him to obtain one. Along the way, secrets unravel and they question their separation. They're still very attracted to each other and surprise, there's only one bed...

Well I've apparently turned into a watering pot over this book. Seraphina and Iain are star crossed lovers if ever I've seen one. In love, married, and then cruelly betrayed. Years later, Iain finds out that his wife is alive! So much anger and pain in his heart as he sets out to secure a divorce from the woman who taught him not to trust all those years ago. Seraphina's life has been so good these past few years, with a successful business, her sisters safe and happy, and an amazing group of friends. So what that she keeps her pain and anguish hidden? She is a protector and will do whatever it takes. Even traveling with her duplicitous husband back to Scotland to divorce him. Honestly, this was such an amazing story. So layered, with hidden pain inside every heart. Watching these two find each other and themselves....chefs kiss. Also, I need a parrot now!!

I love the Isle of Synne and all of the characters. I've been reading this series since the beginning and just love the way Ms. Britton pulls these women together!
Iain MacInnes, stable hand, falls for Seraphina the daughter of the Earl who has the stable when Iain works. Seraphina loves Iain with everything in her. They secretly marry and after their wedding night, she goes back to say goodbye to her sisters before Iain and Seraphina leave to make their way in the world.
A series of lies and treachery has Iain believing Seraphina died, and Seraphina believing Iain took money from her father to leave her. Neither knows the truth of what exactly happened 13 years before.
I loved this book and the story of what happened in the intervening years. Both were duped and their love was torn apart. Seraphina doesn't feel like she can allow Iain back into her heart, since she's done anything needed to keep her sisters with her and away from their father. Iain isn't sure his love for Seraphina will be able to break through the walls surrounding her heart, and isn't sure he wants that.
Will traveling together to finally get the divorce they've agreed to bring them back together? Will it allow them to move forward with their new lives? Will keeping secrets from family and friends who love you ever be right?
A shout-out to Phineas for making the ride more interesting and giving me a few laugh out loud moments!!

I've really been a fan of Christina Britton's work this year and this book did not disappoint! The amount of time they spent together and just the right amount of angst made this one of my favorite regency romances of the year. This series is a must read for romance fans.

The Duke’s All That is a perfectly fine romance, but it wasn’t anything that really stood out for me. Truthfully, the writing in the Scottish accent made it hard to read. I also struggled with some of the characters having not read the previous titles in the series.
This has all the elements of a lovely, standard regency romance, so if that’s what you’re looking for then this will absolutely fit the bill for you! Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love a romance novel that can be read in one sitting with a cup of tea! If that’s what you’re looking for this book is your a cup of tea (ha ha). I really enjoy the long lost lovers, reuniting trope and I think The Dukes All That did a really great job with this trope. I didn’t know this was part of a series when I first read it but I am going to go back and read the other books next. I was really rooting for Serafina and Ian to get there happily ever after. Early. I didn’t know this was part of a series when I first read it but I am going to go back and read the other books now next. I was really rooting for Seraphina and Iain to get their happily ever after..
Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Such a wonderful story! Not exactly what I had hoped would happen throughout the story, but the characters do what they must. Really a heartwarming story! And the characters on Synne are wonderful!
I received a free copy of this book from the author. The thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved reading the engaging and engrossing romance story. After thirteen years, Iain finds out his wife, Seraphina , is alive, and he wants a divorce. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting love story. Can't wait to read the next book by the awesome author, Christina Britton!

4.75 🌟's
ugh, such an excellent second chance rom - pulled at all the heartstrings in the best way with the perfect blend of angst, a no-nonsense heroine (with a no-nonsense parrot), a hero whose never stopped loving his wife (even tho he obvs tries to deny it but bffr girlie pop), and a swoony reminder that it may never be too late for love <3
sobs, this was so good - the mastery of book 1 is definitely reminiscent in this one (compared to book 2 yoikes)
loved it !
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to the publisher Forever for the e-ARC via Netgalley. Releases February 6, 2024!*

I'll be honest- the first novel I read by the author, I didn't particularly enjoy it. However, when I saw the synopsis for this, well, I love a second chance romance in a historical setting so much.
*second chance romance
*enemies to lovers
*serious lack of communication
*forced proximity
*"oh no, we need to stop for rest and there's only one bed"
I enjoyed this one in spite of some predictability and historical accuracy regarding behavior and speech. Those are my own issues, and ones that other readers might not experience.
Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the DRC

Christina Britton is one author whose work I will always pick up - and there is a good reason for that. She never disappoints. I loved this new addition to the Synneful Spinsters series. The main character, Seraphina, is a strong female character who has overcome obstacles in her life. She is fierce and loyal. And a character I easily got invested in. As this is a series, I enjoyed seeing the characters whose stories we have already read. Having said that, there is no need to read the previous books to enjoy this one. This second chance romance was the perfect Saturday afternoon read.

I’ve been looking forward to reading Seraphina’s story since the first book in the Synneful Spinsters series. I was so intrigued by her enigmatic personality and her mysterious past. So, I was thrilled to receive an advanced copy of The Duke’s All That ,where we learn about Seraphina’s tragic past and witness a swoon-worthy second-chance romance!
Iain MacInnes, the new Duke of Balgair, receives shocking news that his wife, whom he believed dead, is, in fact, alive. Determined to divorce Seraphina, Iain travels to the Isle of Synne, and the pair travel together to declare her alive and gain a divorce. But during their journey, new revelations bring way to new feelings, and both Iain and Seraphina must decide if they’re willing to trust each other and take a second chance on their ill-fated romance.
Seraphina and Iain have so much chemistry that it’s almost palpable, but they have a lot of issues to work through since they both feel betrayed by the other. Miscommunication and lack of communication could have saved this couple so much time and heartache, and there were times when I literally wanted to shake both of them. I totally understood their hesitancy, especially Seraphina’s, but their decisions were still frustrating at times. However, I like that both characters grew and learned to open up to others. Both had strong walls up, and it took a lot to break them down.
Seraphina’s foul-mouthed parrot was an amazing bit of comic relief, and there was a satisfactory resolution to some of the unresolved situations in both of their pasts, which I liked. The secondary characters and the strong found family vibes are great too, as are the themes of friendship and sisterhood that are woven throughout this series. The way these women unconditionally support, encourage, and love each other is one of my favorite parts.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

I enjoyed this book in the Isle of Synne series. Overall, the writing is good, and the plot is a departure from the usual. What I found distracting is the re-introduction of characters from previous stories, which is confusing if you haven't read those or are reading them out of order. Also, the end of this story hints at a lesbian love affair for a future tale, which is not my cup of tea. For that reason, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5.

The Duke’s All That has
*Second chance romance
*Close proximity
*Road trip
*One bed
All the hallmarks of a great Regency read.
I could not put this book down. I was so invested in this couple and needed to know what occurred to separate them, what happened to them individually while separated, and how they are going to get back together.
From the other books in this series I always knew there had to be an interesting reason why Seraphina walked around with a parrot on her shoulder, but who knew it would be so heartbreaking. With The Duke’s All That, Christina Britton has a great Regency romance with wonderfully nightmarish gothic elements like an extraordinary evil villain.
Really enjoyed this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
