Paige Nichols begins to have doubts about her husband and when she meets the new teacher she just knows something is going on between them. After she throws Aaron out of their home he begins to see reason to fight for his old life back and ends the affair. Cara decides she doesn't want to lose Aaron and that were the trouble begins.
This story starts with a bang and ends with one too. I enjoyed the writing and was involved in the life of this couple. It begins slow setting the stage for a completely shocking ending.

This book hooked me from the first page. It was such a twist and turn rollercoaster and i loved it.
This is the first book i have read from this author and it is certainly not going to be my last.
I enjoyed the description, the scene setting and the character development. I started out finding Paige really annoying and then by the end i thought she was bad ass. I disliked Cara from the get go and her character development was perfect. She was meant to be hated and she massively was.
Really well written book with lots of twists and turns. The ending was mind blowing and i never ever expected it. I thought i had figured it all out but nope- that curveball well and truly whacked me in the face. I was jaw to the floor.
I am glad Paige got what she deserved with her happy ending with her little family and i am glad her husband was taught a lesson in the rules of marriage.

Paige knows her husband can keep secrets. She’s keeping dark secrets of her own. But is he a killer? The police seem to think so. But they don’t know Cara. They don’t know about her past. This is the first book I read from this author and my rating is a 3.5. The twist that came from this book I did not expect. The Perfect Affair was a quick read. This book follows a married couple Page & Aaron which the husband has an affair with his coworker Cara and once the wife Page finds out about the affair Cara the women Aaron was having the affair goes missing. Aaron becomes the number 1 suspect on her disappearance. There were some characters that didn't need to be in the book. I didn't connect with the characters as I thought I would but I will say that last part with Page that really shocked me I was not expecting that.
Thank you NetGalley for this book.

There was A LOT going on in this book. I don't really think the title reflect the book very well, although yes there was an affair that was down played by everything else that happened. Honestly, it kept my attention but it seemed a bit far fetched with some plot holes that were hard to miss.

Great thriller with a good plot. I had no idea what was gonna happen and couldn't have predicted who did what. Will definitely be reading more from this author!

Thank you, Netgalley and Storm Publishing, for giving me the opportunity to read in exchange for an honest review.

This was an effortless reading in consideration of the back and forth between the past and present. Sometimes, it can be confusing when jumping between different timelines, but Angela Henry did a great job of blending it all together seamlessly. I'd have to say one of my favorite things throughout was learning how the characters were connected.

This is my first Angela Henry book and I can definitely say it will not be my last. I absolutely loved the suspense from the very start It had me guessing the whole time. I also loved the dual timeline but at times it was a bit confusing. If you are looking for a great twisty mystery/suspense that is a fast read then this is for you!

I couldn’t put this book down! It grabbed me right from the beginning and kept me going until the very end. I have already recommended to a coworker

This book was like a Lifetime movie! It was full of action and drama. There were dual POVs narrated by the husband and wife, Aaron and Paige. There were so many twists and unexpected turns in this novel. It was such a roller coaster ride! There was great suspense building and I was fully locked in on what would play out at the end.

I listened to this book in one sitting. The narrator, Rachel Henshaw, did an amazing job! She brought all of these characters to life and made the book an even better experience.

I really liked the premise of this book, however the character development was abysmal. The only really interesting storyline was towards the very end. I felt that this author was just trying to see how crazy they could make this book and just put so many different twists in it, but it did not work because all the characters were so horrible and I did not like any of them, Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.

I was not too sure at first about this one. A married college professor in Ohio falling into an affair with a collegue and then her causing problems when he tries to end it. In the beginning there is a dead body in a freezer in a lock up, but you have to read most of the book before it is revealed, though I did have my suspicions. Aaron is supected of being a part of the disappearance of Cara and is being questioned regularly by the police on quite tenuous evidence. But the suspense does build up and the plot kept me interested and turning the pages.
Told from different points of view, the story gradually comes together as the characters contributions merge. The different timelines could be a little confusing and some of the subplots perhaps a bit too much and too contrived. Saying that, it is an enjoyable read . A book for mystery lovers. The author's writing is engaging and captivating enough to draw you into the story. The book is interesting, although it has excessive plot twists. The same happens with the characters, there are too many and even a bit unnecessary.

There is a lot going on at the same time, and it seems like the author tries to cover everything, but the story becomes overwhelmed and confused.

It is a book that draws a lot of attention due to its plot but unfortunately fails in its overall execution.

It was good, but I had high expectations in this one and that is probably why I have got a bit disappointed.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Storm Publishing and the author for allowing me to read this advanced copy in exchange of my honest review.

I really liked the premise of the story, and was pulled in from the beginning. However, it felt a little too slow in some parts and a bit too quick in others. The middle of the story got a little too farfetched for me, and I was wishing the characters would just use some common sense. By the end, I was pleasantly surprised with the twists and enjoyed all of the suspense and thrills this book had to offer.

Fraught with tension, this psychological thriller loops you on twists and turns until everything snaps… into an ending you won’t see coming. Enjoy the ride!

Given from multiple POVs, The Perfect Affair unfolds at a fast and enticing pace and combines elements from Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct and Presumed Innocent (as Angela Henry herself shares with us at the end of the book). Paige realises that her husband, Aaron, is having an affair with his new colleague, Cara. And as things start to turn ugly, Cara disappears and we are left trying to figure out what's happened to her, everyone's dirty secrets begin to unravel.
The theme that runs through the story is what happens when normal people find themselves in impossible situations and how they react when we are in danger of losing everything they hold dear, which I personally really like. Unreliable narrators and lots of plot twists make this a very enjoyable read. Angela Henry definitely delivers in terms of suspense and I found myself wondering all the time where the whole thing was going and how the story was going to end.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my advance review copy, all opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book a lot!

A good plot and fast pace, all the characters felt really alive. Paige’s siblings are so cool!

The writing was amazing, I saved many quotes and definitely will read other books by this author.

But was a little bit overwhelmed with all the twists and information in the end, otherwise it would be solid 4 stars.

Also, Cara’s connections to other people (can’t say more! iyuyk) are complicated, and was hard to figure out who is who.

But the book is an interesting popcorn thriller, I had a good time reading it. So recommend giving it a try :)
