The Perfect Affair is a compelling page turner. It stumped me at every turn.

Paige is married to Aaron, a college professor. At a party she watched him as he watches his colleague, Cara. She realizes that the two are having an affair and begs him to break it off. Which he promises to do.

Cara ends up making accusations against Aaron that ruin his career and potentially his entire life. Paige stands by him as he calls Cara a liar and fights to prove it. When Cara disappears the stakes are high and Paige isn't sure what to believe.

With secrets abounding and directions in their desperate effort to find the truth will any of their secrets remain so?

I want to start by saying thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for approving my request to read "The Perfect Affair" by Angela Henry.

Summary:
This book is about a woman, Paige, and how she handles the discovery of an affair between her husband, Aaron, and his colleague, Cara. Paige believes that her husband will call off this affair because he tells her he will, so why wouldn't she believe him? But then, after Cara makes a appalling accusation, she disappears and all signs point to Aaron (of course). The story continues to spiral, as you learn more about each of these characters past and uncover many hidden secrets.

Reaction:
This book was fast-paced and there were so many twists and turns along the way. However, sometimes I struggle keeping up when there are several POVs and a non-linear timeline. That is just my personal struggle and I would definitely recommend this book to friends!

This thriller novel had me hooked from the very first page. It had so many twists and turns that I was left guessing until the end. The story was easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. A truly brilliant novel that I highly recommend. I can't wait to read more by the author.

Thank you Storm Publishing and NetGalley for an early copy of the Perfect Affair. I did enjoy this book but there were a few things I must comment on. Way too many black references and white references, absolutely no need for that. I read books ALL the time and I never know if the characters are black or white and theres really no need to know. Aaron was ridiculous many times throughout the novel. He did toooooo much without telling Paige, his lawyer or the police and that boggled my mind. Otherwise, I really liked how it all played out. Shocking ending with MANY twists revealed.

What a rollercoaster of a read. There are so many things I want to say, but any of them will give away to much. I was shocked by so many moments that I never saw coming. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, BAM you sure don’t. Give this one a read, you won’t regret it.

The premise about a professor who falls in love with a colleague but she is using him to advance her career. He finds out she is not who she says she is and when tries to end it she claims sexual harassment and then is gone missing and the professor is the guilty suspect.

I found this story too long winded, with too many characters and multi generations of cheating. The wife and husband kept their secrets; it got so confusing to follow to the point that by the time I finished I didn’t care about who did it or have any sympathy toward any of the characters. It was just too much, it hurt my head. The story just got so complex and uninteresting.

This is my first time reading a novel by Angela Henry, and I was not disappointed!

The Perfect Affair captures your attention from start to finish. I love how the plot wasn't dragged out, a lot is going on, but in the end, it all ties together perfectly. It is key takeaways from this book that you can reflect on; I think the biggest is when something or someone is too good to be true, which describes our main protagonist Cara Morton

This gripping psychological thriller, constantly has you questioning, which character is truly sinister, and you are shocked in the end when you find out who is

Thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this Arc

The Perfect Affair is an intriguing and suspenseful psychological thriller. There are a TON of twists and most I did not see coming. Just when I thought all secrets had more revealed, there were more shocking ones to come. I read this book in one sitting. If you enjoy reading thrillers I would highly recommend to grab this one!

Aaron Nichols, a college professor meets Cara Morton who bewitches him. He is obsessed with her.
His wife sees them together and knows that he is having an affair with Cara.
And then Cara disappears, and Aaron is blamed for her disappearance.
Will his wife, Paige, stand by him?

I started reading this book, and was intrigued by the Prologue.
But then I battled to get into the book, thinking it was just one of those where the husband has an affair and gets rid of his mistress. Or his wife, or a rival gets rid of her....

Oh, Boy!!! Was I wrong!!

Practically every chapter has a twist. Every single character is unlikeable when you get to know them. Not one of them are as sweet as you might think they are. Not one of them doesn't have a dark secret they are trying to hide.

This book is dark and disturbing, and the twists do not stop. The reader is deceived again and again! If you think you have it all figured out, think again.

I do recommend. 5/5 stars from me.

Wow wow wow & great psychological thriller set in 2 different timelines but it all comes together perfectly.
Great writing style and lots of characters.

When a married man with twins, starts having an affair with a colleague at work, his wife sees the body language between them and knows they’re are having an affair right under her nose. The mistress goes missing without a trace and the man and his wife are being questioned by Police.

So many lies and secrets with everyone in this book but it's a fantastic twist at the end. Loved it!

Thank you Netgalley and Storm Publishing

Nothing like a woman scorned...as a couple manages the blowback if his affair. But this one is much more complicated with other family tragedies, affairs, and murders. It all comes together in the end in a very unexpected way.

Overall, I enjoyed The Perfect Affair. The beginning and end of the book were fabulous (and keep me guessing) However, the middle was a bit chaotic and unrealistic for my liking! All in all, it was a great psychological thrilled that kept me entertained throughout.

Full of twists and turns, every single time I thought I knew what was going on in this book I was solidly put in my place by the next turn of events.

The characterizations were awesome, the plotting was brilliant and the tension was thick.

I loved this juicy revenge story and highly recommend it!

Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. Remember that. Never underestimate a woman willing to fight for her marriage and her family.
The Perfect Affair is domestic noir at its best. Angela Henry manages to keep you glued to the pages of the book. The plot centers around the lives of a college professor and his wife when his former mistress and colleague disappears and he becomes the prime suspect. Both of them are forced to confront dark secrets from their past.
It is an excellent read. I really enjoyed the book.
