This thriller novel had me hooked from the very first page. It had so many twists and turns that I was left guessing until the end. The story was easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. A truly brilliant novel that I highly recommend. I can't wait to read more by the author.

Thank you Storm Publishing and NetGalley for an early copy of the Perfect Affair. I did enjoy this book but there were a few things I must comment on. Way too many black references and white references, absolutely no need for that. I read books ALL the time and I never know if the characters are black or white and theres really no need to know. Aaron was ridiculous many times throughout the novel. He did toooooo much without telling Paige, his lawyer or the police and that boggled my mind. Otherwise, I really liked how it all played out. Shocking ending with MANY twists revealed.

What a rollercoaster of a read. There are so many things I want to say, but any of them will give away to much. I was shocked by so many moments that I never saw coming. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, BAM you sure don’t. Give this one a read, you won’t regret it.

The premise about a professor who falls in love with a colleague but she is using him to advance her career. He finds out she is not who she says she is and when tries to end it she claims sexual harassment and then is gone missing and the professor is the guilty suspect.

I found this story too long winded, with too many characters and multi generations of cheating. The wife and husband kept their secrets; it got so confusing to follow to the point that by the time I finished I didn’t care about who did it or have any sympathy toward any of the characters. It was just too much, it hurt my head. The story just got so complex and uninteresting.

This is my first time reading a novel by Angela Henry, and I was not disappointed!

The Perfect Affair captures your attention from start to finish. I love how the plot wasn't dragged out, a lot is going on, but in the end, it all ties together perfectly. It is key takeaways from this book that you can reflect on; I think the biggest is when something or someone is too good to be true, which describes our main protagonist Cara Morton

This gripping psychological thriller, constantly has you questioning, which character is truly sinister, and you are shocked in the end when you find out who is

Thanks to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this Arc

The Perfect Affair is an intriguing and suspenseful psychological thriller. There are a TON of twists and most I did not see coming. Just when I thought all secrets had more revealed, there were more shocking ones to come. I read this book in one sitting. If you enjoy reading thrillers I would highly recommend to grab this one!

Aaron Nichols, a college professor meets Cara Morton who bewitches him. He is obsessed with her.
His wife sees them together and knows that he is having an affair with Cara.
And then Cara disappears, and Aaron is blamed for her disappearance.
Will his wife, Paige, stand by him?

I started reading this book, and was intrigued by the Prologue.
But then I battled to get into the book, thinking it was just one of those where the husband has an affair and gets rid of his mistress. Or his wife, or a rival gets rid of her....

Oh, Boy!!! Was I wrong!!

Practically every chapter has a twist. Every single character is unlikeable when you get to know them. Not one of them are as sweet as you might think they are. Not one of them doesn't have a dark secret they are trying to hide.

This book is dark and disturbing, and the twists do not stop. The reader is deceived again and again! If you think you have it all figured out, think again.

I do recommend. 5/5 stars from me.

Angela Henry's "The Perfect Affair" delivers a psychological thriller that grips readers from the start and doesn't let go until the final shocking twist. The narrative centres around Paige Nichols, who, upon meeting her husband's new colleague, Cara Morton, is convinced of an illicit affair between them. Henry skilfully crafts an atmosphere of suspicion and tension, setting the stage for a rollercoaster of emotions and unexpected turns.

The strength of the novel lies in its exploration of trust, betrayal, and the complexity of relationships. Paige's internal struggle to hold her family together in the face of apparent infidelity is palpable, drawing readers into the web of emotions that surround her. Henry expertly captures the nuances of Paige's doubts and the fragility of the barely patched-up marriage.

The character dynamics, particularly the triangle between Paige, her husband Aaron, and Cara, are portrayed with depth and authenticity. The tension escalates when Cara makes a shocking accusation against Aaron, threatening not only their marriage but also Aaron's career as a college professor. The uncertainty surrounding the truth of Cara's allegations adds layers of suspense to the narrative.

As the plot unfolds, the disappearance of Cara Morton intensifies the mystery, leaving Paige and the readers questioning the nature of the relationships and the secrets each character holds. The novel becomes a thrilling exploration of deception, hidden motives, and the dark secrets that people are capable of keeping.

The pacing of "The Perfect Affair" is well-crafted, keeping the reader engaged and eager to uncover the truth. The psychological elements of the story are intricately woven, making it a compelling and immersive reading experience. Henry's writing style is both sharp and evocative, adding to the overall intensity of the narrative.

The novel's title is apt, as it captures the essence of a story that revolves around the pursuit of perfection, the façade of normalcy, and the unravelling of carefully guarded secrets. Angela Henry succeeds in delivering a gripping psychological thriller that will keep readers guessing until the final, shocking revelation. "The Perfect Affair" is a must-read for fans of the genre who enjoy a blend of suspense, psychological complexity, and unexpected twists.

Wow wow wow & great psychological thriller set in 2 different timelines but it all comes together perfectly.
Great writing style and lots of characters.

When a married man with twins, starts having an affair with a colleague at work, his wife sees the body language between them and knows they’re are having an affair right under her nose. The mistress goes missing without a trace and the man and his wife are being questioned by Police.

So many lies and secrets with everyone in this book but it's a fantastic twist at the end. Loved it!

Thank you Netgalley and Storm Publishing

Nothing like a woman scorned...as a couple manages the blowback if his affair. But this one is much more complicated with other family tragedies, affairs, and murders. It all comes together in the end in a very unexpected way.

Overall, I enjoyed The Perfect Affair. The beginning and end of the book were fabulous (and keep me guessing) However, the middle was a bit chaotic and unrealistic for my liking! All in all, it was a great psychological thrilled that kept me entertained throughout.

Full of twists and turns, every single time I thought I knew what was going on in this book I was solidly put in my place by the next turn of events.

The characterizations were awesome, the plotting was brilliant and the tension was thick.

I loved this juicy revenge story and highly recommend it!

Hell has no fury like a woman scorned. Remember that. Never underestimate a woman willing to fight for her marriage and her family.
The Perfect Affair is domestic noir at its best. Angela Henry manages to keep you glued to the pages of the book. The plot centers around the lives of a college professor and his wife when his former mistress and colleague disappears and he becomes the prime suspect. Both of them are forced to confront dark secrets from their past.
It is an excellent read. I really enjoyed the book.

The thrill of a secret affair ties Aaron Nichols up in knots. Newly appointed department chair at the University where he has built his career he is drawn to Dr Cara Morton. But the risk of his wife Paige finding out soon becomes the least of his worries as he becomes involved in a police investigation following the disappearance of Cara.
This book is the perfect example of a psychological thriller. Whilst reading this Ms Henry sent my mind working in all different directions. I had no idea who to trust and believe even until the last few chapters. A real page turner and a definite 5 stars from me

When she finds out that her husband is having an affair with his glamorous colleague, Paige Nichols is hit hard - not least because of the subtle humiliation that Cara Morton seems to enjoy inflicting on her with her knowing smirk. With a demanding job as a nurse, Paige is made aware that she hasn't been able to put as much work into her marriage as was clearly required.

So, when Aaron promises her he will break off the affair, Paige is reluctantly persuaded to believe him. They have children and need to salvage their relationship, although Paige is not entirely convinced that her husband's infatuation with Cara is truly over.

The stakes get a lot higher when Cara subsequently makes an incendiary allegation against Aaron. Since the two of the work at the same college, reputation is everything. And then Cara disappears, raising fears of foul play.

Inevitably, suspicion falls on Paige's husband, but Cara had her own secrets, so it is hard to know what to think. Even for Paige, who wants to believe Aaron is not capable of murder...

This is an absorbing story which demonstrates how deeply an affair can damage a marriage, and the book delivers a number of twists before coming to a satisfactory ending.
