Olivia Owen is not happy that her dad is getting remarried- especially since he has already cut her off from her inheritance. He has millions while she lives with her mom in a small apartment where they struggle to pay medical bills.
She creates a plan to redistribute all his money during the wedding if only her ex-boyfriend, European cousins, and a vengeful second wife do not interfere with the heist.
I could not wait to read this book that was billed as a cross between Inheritance Games and Ocean's 11 and it did not disappoint. It was such a fun read with so many moving parts, it's a perfect read for the beach.

I will read anything by this author duo. This was so fun and great for fans of The Inheritance Games and The Princess Diaries, with a hint of Gossip Girl.

From page one “Heiress Takes All” menaged to grab my attention with the promise of an exciting heist, and it kept me engaged for the most part. However, the excitement began to fade as the story went on.
Olivia’s cleverness was one of the highlights of the book and I ended up liking her as a character. Her friends and teacher were a good addition to the story but I felt like they were hard to get used to, especially in the beginning. That part felt massively underdeveloped.
The relationship between Olivia and her love interest was well handled and it provided a nice balance to the plot.
Overall, this was a decent read but sadly some parts were underwhelming.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Emily and Austin and autobuy authors to me! They are incredible and always a joy to read!!! Thank you for the opportunity to read an arc of this book!

Olivia used to be an heiress. After growing up in the Rhode Island mansion owned by her father, controversial podcaster-multimedia mogul Dashiell Owens, Olivia and her mother are on their own, trying to make ends meet after Olivia’s mother left Dashiell for cheating on her. But it’s okay because Olivia has The Plan.
It’s her father’s third wedding, and along with a crew of fellow students (and one former teacher) who have goals bigger than their bank accounts, she’s going to steal her inheritance back from her father by obtaining the passphrase to his online offshore accounts from the safe in his office.
But pretty much everything that could go wrong does go wrong, including an obnoxious and nosy acquaintance who keeps getting in Oliva’s way, her ex-boyfriend who’s determined to get back together, and her former stepmother (the one Dashiell left her mother for) who’s set on a revenge plan of her own.
Olivia’s heist makes for a fun, fast-paced read, and we’re glad we got to come along for the ride. Between the ultra-glamorous setting, the unbelievable number of mishaps, and the love-to-hate-them characters, we think your students will have a hard time putting this one down. Some profanity and a couple mature situations make this more appropriate for high school students.
Thank you NetGalley and Little, Brown Books for Young Readers for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are our own.

"Heiress Takes All" was a delightful read that grabbed my attention right from the start with its fast-paced opening. The friendships that blossom throughout the story add warmth and depth, making the characters even more relatable and endearing. The internal back and forth that Olivia faces over her relations ship with her father post lie and divorce is very realistic and allows you to connect to her. In a deeper level. What really sets this book apart, though, is the surprise twist that keeps the narrative fresh, fun, and lively, ensuring you stay hooked until the very end. A charming and entertaining read!

This was such a fun read! I loved the rag tag team Olivia put together and the elaborate heist she planned. Kevin was such a fun addition and had me laughing with every interaction. There were a few surprises throughout the book as well. Set up for a second book? Can’t wait!

Heiress Takes All by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka is an enchanting and dynamic novel that masterfully blends romance, wit, and intrigue. The authors' sparkling prose and vibrant character development create a compelling narrative that keeps readers thoroughly engaged. The story's unique premise and delightful chemistry between the characters make for a captivating and heartwarming read. This book is a standout in contemporary romance, offering both charm and depth in equal measure.

If you can think of a derogatory term, it probably applies to Olivia’s father, Dashiell Owen. Olivia wants revenge for how Dash treated her and her mother. She also wants to help her mother escape the burden of crushing medical debt that was an indirect consequence of the divorce. The wedding to Maureen, who will be wife #3, is the perfect opportunity to exact that revenge. Yet, as much as she hates her father, Olivia also yearns for his respect and acknowledgement.
Olivia has crafted a detailed plan for exacting her revenge and has recruited an interesting crew of associates to help her carry it out. [My favorite of which is probably Deonte.] However, no plan survives first contact with the enemy, and Olivia's plan is no exception. Olivia and her friends will have to improvise, especially as it turns out that they are not the only ones using the wedding as an opportunity for revenge/theft/reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. Some of the biggest potential obstacles will turn out to be important allies. And Olivia will uncover much greater secrets than she could have ever imagined. There is plenty of action and suspense.
The book ends in a manner that leaves open the possibility of a sequel. I have mixed feelings about that. It would be fun to see what scheme unfolds, and since it would also involve family, what extended family members, if any, would assist Olivia. The "villain"/"target" would be more formidable than Dash. However, considering the circumstances under which the possible sequel would unfold, it would not be realistic for some of my favorite characters from this book to be involved.

I hate reviewing these kinds of books because it’s so hard to do so without spoiling even the tiniest thing. I think I even put something on Goodreads as a way to update my reading and then it came to the end and I was right af and it was a spoiler lmao So yeah, if this review is terrible and doesn’t give much…. Well that’s why.
First off, I just want to give a round of applause to myself lol This is the first book by this author duo that I’ve ever read all the way through lmaoooo For the most part, all their other ones I’ve DNFed. And the way I’ve always felt so bad because I love the covers and the synopsis always sound good. but the characters are also so annoying and it got hard to read. So imagine my surprise when I saw that the main character in this one was trying to get revenge on her father for unspeakable things. And she was handling it like an effing boss. This main character has surpassed all the others they had by like 1000% and I was there for it.
Ok so the way this heist goes is nothing short of a shit show. Sorry, there’s no other way to say this lol It really was a shit show. No matter how much she had planned and how things were going, NOTHING worked and it was stressing me out. I just remember asking myself “WHAT ELSE CAN HAPPEN?” And because of this, I was seriously contemplating loosing sleep and finishing this in one day lol I only mention this because I saw a couple reviews that DNFed this that said they didn’t like the constant twists and turns. My guess is it can get quite overwhelming for some, but for me, I enjoyed this so much more than whatever it was that happens in their other books.
The heist is crazy, so the plot is too. Even though I was able to pull out some of the twists, I didn’t catch all of them. Because Lordt knows, there’s a ton of them. But even still, the plot is easy to follow and it was a fun experience. I once read that I read suspense and horror because I know I’m safe in my home and I can experience these weird instances in the comfort of my own home. And this is so much more plain after I’ve read this book lol There is no way I would have been in this type of situation in real life. The plot twists and turns so much that I wouldn’t be able to catch my breath in real life. Hell I barely could in the book.
The characters were great! I loved that she hand picked them and all the different ways she hand picked them. I’m not gonna lie, it made me think about who I might pick and for what lol In case you know I ever try to steal millions away from my terrible ass father lol All the characters have these really weird reasons for saying okay and I loved that. Like one was so they could get a cut and open up a bakery. Like really, you’re going to risk jail time for a storefront?! They were all absolutely bonkers and that was why I mostly enjoyed it.
This book (much like this review lol) was all over the place. I’m still reeling a bit about this lol And at the end there’s a like a spot where there’s an insert for a sequel, and Lordt idk if my heart can take it. I’ll read it, but it can’t be like this one lol

I think this book was suprise five star to me. I Sometimes struggle with revvenge tales but at the end of this book i was so invested in the story and the characters. I also loved the romance that developed in the backround of this story and it is def one of my favorite troups. I also loved the rag tag people that put together for the hesit and i did not see the ending coming! def a prefect quick summer read!!

a DNF for me for now. WAYYYYY too much going on here. Might try again someday but now, its not for me.

Heiress Takes All by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka was a great YA heist novel. Olivia is upset that her father's cheating has upended her life. In retaliation, she sets up a heist to steal her father's money and make him pay for the suffering he has put her and her mother through. Throughout the heist, set in the backdrop of her father's third wedding, she discovers her family's and her father's secrets and lies. It's about found family, romance, and familial relationships. Every move was entertaining, and the unexpected twist took the cake.

Olivia doesn’t like her father. He cheated on her mom, kicked them out of their luxurious home, made her mom work long, painful hours after an accident, and cut Olivia out of her inheritance. When her father is getting remarried, she considers it an opportunity to get revenge for everything her father has done wrong. She gathers a group of fellow high school students and one former teacher to use the wedding to steal millions of dollars from her father’s online accounts and right the wrongs against her and her mother. Unfortunately, the schemes of other people who also don’t like her father and her ex-boyfriend make things more complicated than she expected.
Unfortunately, for a book that’s supposed to be based on high stakes and Oceans 11, I was bored for a significant part of the book. The concept is very fun, but I didn’t enjoy the execution.
My biggest issue with the book is the characters. While I understand Olivia’s anger, especially with the mistreatment of her mom, it’s hard to get behind her reasons for stealing, lying, and generally treating people badly to get what she wants. She’s supposed to be fierce and intelligent, but I was annoyed with her for most of the book. She’s supposed to be a master heist planner, but she isn’t. Obviously, things need to go wrong at some points in the book to make things suspenseful, but she came across as clueless and unprepared during most of it.
The other characters are generally either convenient or inconvenient. Their only traits are “helping Olivia” or “getting in Olivia’s way” mostly. It’s also uncomfortable to have a former teacher hanging out with them and supporting them in this illegal activity. I also didn’t think there was any real chemistry between Olivia and Jackson. I didn’t care that they were broken up, and I didn’t see what Jackson saw in Olivia when she was just conniving and mean. The only characters that seemed to have much development was Kevin and Olivia, and I couldn’t stand Olivia.
There are a lot of plot holes, and you have to put yourself in the shoes of clueless Olivia in many aspects to think that 1. Any of this is going to work 2. Her father would just let her get away with this in the end anyway. It’s frustrating how much you have to ignore, and the number of twists got tedious instead of building excitement.
If you just want a silly heist book and don’t need to care much about the characters, this could be a fun read. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for me.

These two are a writing Powerhouse and I loved this mystery book! Full of twists and turns. I look forward for more from them!

I won’t even lie to y’all, this might be my favorite read of 2024, or at least it’s up there in those top spots.

HEIRESS TAKES ALL follows ex-heiress Olivia, who had her whole life stolen from her when her rich dad had an affair and divorced her mom, leaving the two of them with nothing. As her dad’s third wedding date arrives, Olivia knows it’s finally time to get revenge. With a ramshackle yet perfectly crafted crew, and in spite of various unforeseen obstacles, the witty Olivia has plan upon plan, phase after phase, lined up so that she can steal her father’s wealth right from under his nose. What she could never have anticipated getting in her way were her own warring feelings about family, about her ex-boyfriend, and about herself. If she is a thief, then how alike is she to those she steals from?
I need to stop writing or I’m going to give too much away. I absolutely LOVE how all the aforementioned elements weave together to create such an addictive and interesting story!! I though the romance came on a tad too strong at first (I came for the heist, ya know?), but I was HASTY in my judgement for sure. Because every piece of the puzzle - every character, every phase, every plan gone wrong, every new family member or secret revealed - fits so neatly yet so chaotically into the next that it’s just an absolutely thrilling reading experience! The element of surprise is important, so I don’t want to give anything away, but essentially this heist / thriller / romance with family conflict, a dangerously luxurious setting, and internal conflict (with a dash of found family and a badass FMC) was like a perfect cocktail for me, and I CHUGGED IT! I 100% recommend this one for the heist or action-thriller lovers out there!

Thank you netgalley for the chance to read this. I didn't actually realize this was YA when I picked it up: I've enjoyed some Emily/Austin in the past, and wanted to give this a chance. It's silly and fun...something that easily has a place in my reading plans
Olivia is hellbent on revenge from her deadbeat, millionaire father, and assembles a team to steal millions from him. Its ludicrous and kinda silly: this isn't a story for someone looking for plausibility. Its got 1000 twist and turns as it becomes a bit more about Olivia and her ex, and less about her father. Theres too many subplots for me personally.
Just fun.

This is perfect for fans of The Inheritance Games! The concept of this one is so fun--just different enough from The Inheritance Games, but with a similar vibe. I loved the heist feel of it, and all the characters involved. It was such a fun ride!

The plot was too convoluted, and the twists didn’t make sense. Nothing about the book felt realistic. I liked the characters, but I didn’t believe that they would participate in this heist. Also, they really didn’t get a lot of money considering how many people were involved. I also struggled with the idea of Olivia being poor after the divorce. Her father would have had to pay a lot in child support if he didn’t have custody at all.

In this funny, unflinching heist novel, a former heiress seeks revenge at her dad's wedding.
Olivia's dad wants her at his wedding for appearances sake, but Olivia sees it as the perfect chance for revenge. She wants to prove her worth to the dad who sees her as a spoiled, silly teenager not really worth his time.
Along with a team of friends, Olivia plans the perfect heist while everyone's distracted by the vows. But she's not counting on her ex-boyfriend showing up and challenging her perceptions of everything.
This has it all - offbeat, quirky characters, plots within plots, and a family with enough drama to fill a reality show.
