Revenge. A heist. Inheritance.
The plot of this book was exciting. Olivia has the perfect revenge plan to get back at her cheating father for kicking her mother and herself out. She’s going to steal his fortune. She has the perfect plan worked out and has recruited the perfect team to execute it. In fact, the supporting characters were what made the book for me. Olivia was a bit too much in her own head. She continually repeats how much she hates her father and how she hates her ex for cheating on her. It gets a bit repetitive for me in the first half. The plot seems to quicken in the second half. But (spoiler alert), I still can’t figure out how the team got the paper with the code away from Lexi and back to the safe. I enjoyed the second half with all the action more than the first. I liked the well-rounded, secondary characters and how they all fit together in a quirky way. Rating 3.5
Thank you to NetGalley for the review copy.

Olivia Owens grew up rich–living in a mansion with daily help, attending an exclusive school. All the ended abruptly when she caught her father with his secretary and told her mother. Her father, a ruthless and uncaring man, immediately divorced her mother, whose pre-nup left her with nothing, and kicked the two of them out of his life. Now they live with a lot of medical debt, both of them working multiple jobs, and Olivia attends a normal public high school.
Her father’s second marriage didn’t last long and now he’s marrying bride number 3, age 25, only 7 years older than his daughter. And Olivia wants revenge. She has concocted a plan to steal the codes to his online investments and recruited a talented bunch of friends to help her. There’s Cass, wearing all black, to hack into the computer; there’s Tom to play her dashing date and distract people; there’s former teacher McCoy to infiltrate security; there’s talented baker Deonte to smuggle phones in via his cake. What could go wrong?
Well of course, plenty, and I have to say that this book had more twists and turns than a snake doing a U-turn. Every step of the plan adds more complications that must be overcome last minute, including more people who want in on the action.
Heiress Takes All is young adult, but had some qualities that lift it above the norm for this genre. First of all, the teens were realistic in their abilities. It didn’t require herculean efforts of disbelief suspension to follow this crew, who are smart and quick-thinking, but not superhumanly so. Secondly, while the love interest is sometimes just a bit too eye-rollingly perfect, I did appreciate Olivia’s conflicted feelings towards her father and her ex-boyfriend. It’s a fun read, especially if you enjoy Young Adult adventures! I recommend it.

I’ve loved this writing (and real life) duo since The Roughest Draft.
I really liked the idea of this book. I love a good heist story, and YA is usually my jam. But I think I need my books to be more believable and I think this onc was too movie driven not book driven if that makes sense. I think everything this little band of heisters went through was definitely intriguing. I'd love to see it on the Big Screen.

HEIRESS TAKES ALL was a fast-paced and fun book about a girl who has plans to steal her father’s fortune and redistribute it after her he makes yet another life choice that isn’t quite the best. She runs in to some unexpected competition though when other people in her father’s sphere also want a chunk of his empire. It’s a race against the clock as former heiress Olivia and her crew try to take everything her father owns and leave him how he left her and her mother — penniless, homeless, left with only the clothes on their backs.
Described as Ocean’s 11 meets The Inheritance Games, that descriptor is perfectly spot on. This book shares many of the same elements that make those two fantastic. This book also had a lot of emotion concerning dysfunctional family dynamics and an absentee father, and I really appreciated the depth that brought to this tale. The MC Olivia was strong and smart, and certainly had a heart of gold, despite her nefarious plans. Overall, I really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend it. 4 stars.

Thank you NetGalley, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, and Emily Wibberly and Austin Siegemund-Broka for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! I hate to say it, but I couldn’t get into this one… I’ve tried to read books by these authors before and never connected with the writing. However, YA fans should still check it out in case they like it more!

I have been on a kick for heist titles, and knowing this one was coming from two of my favorite romance authors made it a must-read. With a cast of characters that made the heist crew fun to read, constant interruptions and changes to their plan and some love thrown in HEIRESS TAKES ALL was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.
Revenge and money are always worth fighting for, and when it comes to family Olivia has plenty of motivation to take money from her dad. I loved that she kept going no matter what was thrown her way, and how the book was constantly giving the unexpected.
Thank you to TBR Beyond Tours for having me on the book tour, I created a playlist full of songs I thought matched the vibe of the book and had a blast doing so. Thank you Little Brown Young Readers for the finished copy in exchange for my thoughts on the tour!
Highly recommend Thieves' Gambit by Kayvion Lewis and The Takedown by Carlie Walker if you loved this one! After reading and watching Argylle, reading the titles I just listed I want more books like this, they're so fun to devour.

I have read all of Wibberley and Siegemund-Broka’s books, YA and adult. I love their writing because it’s smart, moves quickly, and sounds authentic. The YA always sounds like teenagers, and this one is no different. Of course, the main teen of this book is smarter than your average one because she masterminds a heist to get revenge on her father, and also steal his money, Is this a realistic novel? No. Does it matter? Absolutely not. You just get caught up in the action really quickly, especially as the book is written with plenty of mysteries in the plot that are cleverly revealed in each chapter. Did Olivia’s boyfriend Jackson cheat on her? You have to read to find out. How did she get her merry band of thieves together? You have to keep reading. The friendships that are built during the heist and planning for the heist are also a strong point of the writing. You really root for all of the characters. Reading this book is a lot like watching a very fun movie.
Thank you NetGalley for the free digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t read a lot of YA anymore but wanted to give this a try because I’ve enjoyed several of Wibberly and Siegemund-Broka’s books in the past. The summary sounded like one where I’d have to suspend a lot of disbelief but had the potential to be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. I was questioning a lot of the main character’s decisions. The opening of the book thrusts you right into the drama, but then the plot slows down considerably from there. We get flashbacks to how the crew came to work together, but I didn’t feel emotionally invested in any of them. And the fact that an adult was involved in the heist? I couldn’t get past it.

Let me start by saying that I completely saw Olivia as Parker from Leverage as a teenager and I loved it, if you have no idea what I'm talking about that's ok.
The idea behind this book had me intrigued and I wanted to to get sucked in, and at moments I did but there were moments that were just hard for me to get through.
While I loved the story, the plotting, the theft, the relationship with Olivia and her group of teenage (and a sort of ex-teacher) theives that ending just kind of ruined it for me.
I have to say I will always be honest in my reviews and I have to say if I could give this one 3.5 stars I would so I'll be rounding up to 4 stars for review purposes.
Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown and Company for providing a copy of this ebook, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was really looking forward to this, and while I did enjoy myself, it didn't quite meet my expectations. I liked the premise, the characters and the stakes - but it just never fully hit in the way I thought it was going to. I've been reading these two authors for awhile now, and for the most part their books are hits, but every once in a while - one just falls a little flat.
That being said, if there were to ever be a second book - I'd pick it up for sure!

Oh this was spectacular. It's got found family, heists (!!!), a cute romance, and a kickass clever protagonist. This was so much fun, and it's exactly what I wanted it to be. I am just such a sucker for heist books, and I don't think I've ever not liked one because it is such a fun premise. I really liked this a lot. I really liked the characters, especially Olivia. What a mastermind. The comp title of the inheritance games is so accurate- it's got the twists and the drama and the cleverness of the inheritance games series, with its own interesting characters. Seriously I just thought this was great.

What do you do when your multi-million dollar father kicks you and your mom out of his house–and cuts you out of his will–because he was having an affair? You decide to get revenge. Seventeen year old Olivia plans an elaborate heist, finds all the right people for her team to do the job, and is set to steal what is rightfully hers during her father’s marriage ceremony. Of course, nothing about this job is easy or goes according to plan, but that’s what makes this book one you can’t put down. The plot is full of twists and turns, and will keep surprising you until the very end.

Top Five Reasons to Read Heiress Takes All
5. Multiple Subplots – no boring here
4. Lighthearted crazy fun – highly entertaining
3. Revenge in the form of a big heist
2. Romantic tension
and the number one reason to read Heiress Takes All….
1. Twists galore every time something goes wrong (which is often)

I thoroughly enjoyed this fun, fast-paced young adult heist novel. The diverse group of characters assembled to assist the protagonist in pulling off the heist were unique and had engaging personalities that added depth to the story. I also appreciated the charming second-chance romance subplot, which brought an extra layer of emotion to the narrative. Set against the backdrop of her father's wedding day, the plot was filled with exciting twists and turns that kept me hooked from start to finish.

This was so much fun! A group of teens plan to steal millions at a wedding and chaos ensues.
I loved the characters in this, they were funny and smart and mismatched in a way that helped the crew come together to make this plan work. The pacing is quick and there were a couple times I chuckled at the antics, especially parts with a certain "Assface" involved.
This was a hit for me and I hope others will check it out!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own. Thank you to Little Brown Books and NetGalley for the copy.

Olivia's dad is getting remarried--again--and the seventeen year-old his less than thrilled. After she ratted him out to her mom for cheating, he kicked her and her mother out of the mansion she grew up in. Determined to get revenge and her rightful place as heiress, she sets out to perform the heist of the century at his next wedding. Olivia and a diverse crew of fellow would-be thieves infiltrate the wedding to show her dad who really is the criminal mastermind and get a few million along the way, all while trying not to run into her cheating ex-boyfriend, her dad's new bride, and the most annoying family friends.
Heist books are all the rage right now, and this one fits right in. It's a bit bonkers, and requires substantial suspension of disbelief, but if you lean in, it's pretty fun. Very much not your typical Austin and Emily novel, even compared to their YA reads, and not quite the same level of prose as their adult books, but there's no denying that it's an exciting journey.
Thanks to the novl for my ARC and Storygram Tours for my finished copy, in addition to Little Brown and the authors! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4 stars -7/10

Thanks so much to Emily Wibberley, Austin Suegemund- Broka, & Little, Brown Books for Young Readers for the eARC of this books. It was such a quick and easy read for me. I loved this one and definitely recommend it anyone who loves a good mystery!

Heiress Takes All is one of those books that you really want to love and end up really liking it instead. It’s a fun adventure that gets a little slow in places, but keeps you engaged nonetheless.
Authors Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka have plotted out an intricate story that does keep you guessing. Their characters are varied, though some members of the supporting cast is more realized than others.
The story unfolds from Olivia’s point of view. And through her view, you get sort of a George Clooney laying things out in Ocean’s Eleven vibe. She’s a character who knows when to pivot, and that makes for some interesting setups.
Revenge is at the heart of Heiress Takes All, though other themes betrayal, trust, socioeconomic disparity, and forgiveness also come into play. There’s a touch of romance, too, but it all circles around the heist.
The plot of Heiress Takes All is fairly over the top, which lends to its cinematic feel. And the ending leaves room for further stories where things could become grander.
Heiress Takes All is a fairly fast read that should appeal to fans of mysteries or thrillers with a touch of comedy thrown in for good measure.

If you are looking for a book that is a quick, uncomplicated read, this might be one to add to your list. The pace is active, and Olivia is quite high strung. However, you do need to spend disbelief for the majority of the book, And there are numerous potholes and unanswered questions. While there were twists, there were too many. They veered off, creating subplots that weren't really needed, and that takes the attention away from the main story.
Possible Trigger Warnings: swearing, parental neglect, cheating, mentions of sex

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this read. This was an okay read for me. I like this author duo so I wanted to read this book but it was a bit young for me but it was still okay. I don’t want to rate it low because I think I may not be the audience for it. I still think it was okay though.
