I remember reading Phantom Eyes back in 2013....but I never recorded my thoughts about it anywhere. I enjoyed it, I remember that much....but that's about all I can say about it now.

Scott Tracey's Phantom Eyes is the conclusion of the Witch Eyes series. Individually, the books have an appealing premise, and I enjoyed the series.

It has been some time in between worlds. From what I remember, book 1 and book 2 were paced with a quick momentum, revealing bits and pieces of the world in the rightly timed moments. Beginning Phantom Eyes was brought with an expectation for a finale to wow me. It isn't always fair to the book, but sometimes, it is what it is.

While I felt the story told was good, that integral feel of the overall story wasn't there. The momentum was a bit uneven, and that at times made me disinterested in the story. I felt that my connection to the characters were not there as they were in the past, and that hurt my feelings toward this book as well.
