Lisa never disappoints. This book is a story about second chances, forgiveness, and hope. The characters are written so well that they feel like “friends.” You feel like you are part of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone.

Trinity Sutter is a very sweet girl but she is extremely independent. She has her own way of thinking and doing things. It’s great to be independent but sometimes we all need help. The problem with being totally independent is that we sometimes take advice the wrong way and push people away without meaning to. We are never entirely independent because God wants us to dependent on Him. She has a huge secret she’s keeping that will affect not only her but others as well. Secrets have a way of coming out.

Jacob Lantz is a very good guy and has loved Trinity since they were kids. When his aunt passes away, he returns home because he and his brothers inherits her house. Their paths cross again and he realizes he still loves her. Trinity’s secret keeps her from admitting her true feelings for him.

To see if Trinity realizes that true independence means that sometimes we all need someone to depend on….To see if her secret stands in the way of her happiness… To see if Jacob has patience and the courage to keep his faith when it is tested.. you have to read the book… Happy Reading!

This was a new author for me and I found her flow of the story being long, drawn out, and boring. I pushed through hoping it would change in the next chapter. Being overly detailed was not necessary for the reader to grasp idea and be in the moment. Overall, I really like the story but too much got in the way. Trini Sutter and Jacob Lantz met as children, then reconnects after both are grown. Jacob moves back to his aunts house, wanting to marry the girl his loved. Trini has a plan that doesn't include staying in the faith. The book shares their journey and if a childhood promise will ever come true. I received a complimentary copy of this book, opinions express in this review are completely my own.

This is a really good book (third in this series). This book centers around Trini and Jacob. They have been friends since they were children. (Jacob's aunt lived next store to Trini and her family.) At age 5, Jacob asked Trini to marry him. She was around 9. Then they didn't see each other for 15 years when Jacob's beloved aunt passes away and leaves her farm to Jacob and his 2 brothers. Jacob is still in love with Trini and asks her again to marry him, but he doesn't know she has a secret. Her secret is to leave The Amish faith, which she does for a time. Jacob is heartbroken. When Trini's mother becomes ill, Trini comes back to help with her mother. Will Trini and Jacob reconcile and marry or will Trini leave again to live in the Englisch world? I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.

Jacob has never forgotten the little girl that helped him through a tragedy when he was little. Seeing her again, Jacob has plans to win her heart. Trini is a list maker and has secret plans for the future. She is falling for Jacob, but doesn't see how he fits in her future. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher through Netgalley. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love how both Jacob and Trini are determined, planners, and hopeful for the future. I also love how supportive their friends and family of them. I hope some of them are in future books by this author.

Amish quilt maker, Trini, has a secret she has never told anyone except her English
brother who is helping her. When her neighbor passes away and leaves her farm to her nephews, Trini sees the young man who asked her to marry him as a child. When he causes her to have an accident they spend mire time together. Will it rekindle the feelings he once had for her? Will it change her secret or will it become more important to her?
I enjoyed this story though I sometimes wanted it to move along a bit quicker. I found the characters to be relatable. I could feel the stress and struggles of each character. I give it 4 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Readers who liked the first two books in the Heart of the Amish series will also enjoy this story. Childhood friends meeting again after fifteen years made for a sweet story but not as realistic as some stories. i did like that the author allowed Trini's conflicts about the church's shunning of her brother to be voiced. Would love to read Trinity's friends and Jacob's brother's stories.

Trini and Jacob reunite after being friends from childhood. A good overall and sweet Amish romance, although the theme of her wanting to leave the church made me skim a bit the issue. Sorry, didn't seem needed, but could just be me. Otherwise, I enjoyed this one and would recommend it.

This book is part of the Heart of the Amish series. Trini and Jacob met when they were young children. They developed a strong friendship in spite of the fact that Jacob and his family were living in another place.

When Jacob’s aunt dies and wills her farm to Jacob and his two brothers, he is thrilled to return to Arthur, IL where Trini still lives. He has always had a love for her, having asked her to marry him when they were children. She told him she would let him know when they had grown up.

Trini holds a secret she has had planned most of her life and has not told anyone. Seeing Jacob she renews her memories but knows that her secret will not allow her feelings to develop for Jacob.

Jacob is determined to let his feelings of a lifetime bring them together, but when he learns the secret that Trini is keeping, he is not sure that will be possible. Several accidents, and other events makes them both take a strong look at life and what the future may hold.

I enjoyed this quick read and highly recommend the book. I received a copy of it from NetGalley and Barbour. The opinion expressed is my own.

"The quilt room secret" by Lisa Jones Barker is a very sweet book. This is a new author to me and I'm excited to read more. The story was well written and I feel in love with the characters.

From the time Trini Sutton and Jacob Lantz were young they had a special bond even when distance separated them. Now Jacob is back! What will Trinity do now! Stay in the Amish community or follow the dream she has always wanted to fulfill. Jacob returns with his two brother to take over their dead aunt's home. One thing he never gave up on was marrying Trini, but will he be able to make his dream come true!

What a great story! I will love recommending this book to family and friends.

Unfortunately I couldn't get into this book. I read half of it and I was forcing myself to continue.

It was sweet how Jacob cared for his reunited friend, Trini. The premise of the story of having close friends and being able to talk together in your shop was interesting but the story lacked something for me.

Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own

The Quilt Room Secret by Lisa Jones Baker is a delightful Amish romance that skillfully twists together themes of love, friendship, and personal growth. As a newcomer to this author's work, her attention to detail and dedication to character development were evident throughout the narrative. The story unfolded at a deliberate pace, allowing the readers to savor each moment and fully appreciate the nuances of the characters’ experiences.

While the central plot revolves around the timeless theme of soulmates finding each other, the story unfolds in a way that highlights the importance of discovering one's true direction in life. Trini Sutter, the fearless and independent protagonist, takes center stage as she grapples with her inner struggles and attempts to navigate life's uncertainties. The journey of self-discovery becomes even more intriguing as her path converges with Jacob Lantz, a kind-hearted and patient man.

The author's writing style is commendable, capturing the essence of Arthur, Illinois, and bringing the characters to life with realistic portrayals. The slow start of the book is offset by the rich imagery and the depth of the characters, making it a worthwhile read. Trini’s friends and Jacob’s brothers contribute valuable depth to the storyline.

The love story between Trini and Jacob is sweet yet complicated, with Trini harboring a secret plan that adds an element of suspense. The inclusion of meaningful quotes throughout the book adds a touch of wisdom and resonates with the overall theme of faith and determination.

One particularly touching aspect of the story is the enduring connection between Trini and Jacob from their childhood, emphasizing the power of genuine kindness and compassion. As the characters face challenges and make life-altering decisions, the author skillfully captures their emotions and struggles, making the reader empathize with their journey.

The Quilt Room Secret is a cleverly written tale of second chances at love and personal growth. Lisa Jones Baker has crafted a compelling story that will leave readers both satisfied and eager for more. I highly recommend this book to fans of Amish romance and anyone seeking a heartwarming story of love and self-discovery.

Releasing Feb. 1, 2024, The Quilt Room Secret by Lisa Jones Baker (a new to me author) is about finding your true direction in life. At times I was reminded of the movie Sweet Home Alabama because an accompanying plot was finding your soul mate as a child.

Although finding your soul mate may have been intended as the main plot, I finished the book feeling like the main character Trini Sutter had to find her true direction before realizing it included her soul mate Jacob Lantz.

I thought this book was well written and hope to read in future books about the friends of Trini and the brothers of Jacob.

A copy was provided for my review, but all opinions are my own.

I adore Amish romance, and while I have never heard of this author, I was happy to be chosen for an ARC.

This is a sweet, wholesome story about friendship, love, and finding your place in this uncertain world. It shows that, as Matthew promised, with faith, anything is possible.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in return for my honest opinions.

I enjoyed reading this book! It was a slow start, but it's worth the time to finish! It has some wonderful imagery that brings Arthur, Illinois, to life!

The characters are very realistic and easy to like! Trini, especially. She's fearless, independent, and organized. I love that she writes lists for everything!
Jacob has a kind heart. He's compassionate and reliable. The other characters are wonderful, too!

The love story is sweet. It's also complicated as Trini has a secret plan. Jacob is patient with her, even though he's confused.

My favorite quote is: "Life is a continuous process of adjusting to things we don't expect. But what separates the weak from the strong is the determination to keep trying."

When jacob Lantz was a small boy he had a friend who showed him kindness when he really needed it. Jacob never forgot Trini Sutter and his proposal to her as a young lad. When Jacob's aunt dies and leaves her farm to him and his brothers he meets Trini again. Can this relationship bloom into what Jacob wants? I loved the story and the characters. A beautiful story of never forgetting your feelings as a young lad and knowing what you want.

A beautifully written story of a second chance at love for Jacob and Trinity. They first meet as children – he was a very mature five-year-old and Trini was nine. Jake was going through some tough times and Trini was able to listen to him and offer him good, heartfelt advice, for one so young. He appreciated her thoughtfulness and her compassion and decides there and then that Trini is the one he will marry.

Fast forward several decades when Jacob inherits his aunt’s farm with his two brothers and he is delighted to see that Trini is still there, his neighbour and unmarried! Jacob has always been a person who, once his mind is made up, he rarely deviates from its original course. He is overjoyed to see Trini and is hoping that, now as adults they can get married and start a family together.

Unknown to Jake, Trini has been planning for months to leave the Plain faith and travel to stay with her brother and his wife as Englisch – her brother left a few years prior. She has kept this information from everyone as she wants to ensure she has sufficient time to plan everything before she takes that final step and pursues a more independent lifestyle.

The author has done a wonderful job of setting the scene, so you feel for these characters and the struggles they go through. I especially felt for Jake, trying to support Trini’s decision to leave the Plain faith while at the same time hoping against hope that she would change her mind and marry him.

Beautifully captured, thoroughly enjoyed and I recommend this book wholeheartedly.

I received an ARC from the publishers and NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Yay! Another wonderful story from Lisa Jones Baker! I just love her stories.
As I was reading I found this quote;
“It’s true. A long time ago, Aunt Margaret told me to hold those who made me feel special close to my heart. That life isn’t easy, and that a person’s ability to make another feel gut is something that doesn't come along every day."
Aunt Margaret seemed like a wise lady didn't she?
Jacob was blessed to have her.
I think that Jacob was always a sweet boy. I hated what happened to him as a kid.
Here's another Aunt Margaret quote
"Life is a continuous process of adjusting to things we don’t expect. But what separates the weak from the strong is the determination to keep trying.”
I really enjoyed this story. I couldn't put it down.
I liked Trini's adventure but I kind of didn't like the way she went about it.
I think the message for this story is always appropriate what and who you have because what or who may not be there when you need them.
I loved loved this story. I wish I could go home. I feel like Trinity. Be blessed Trinity! Love you and your beautiful family.
Your mom meant well. For some it's harder to show love than others.
This sweet story will make u want to cry in certain places and rejoice in others.
5 starts for an excellent novel. I highly recommend it.

The quilt room secret by Lisa Jones Baker, is an Long awaited, outstanding, story from this fantastic storyteller. Oh, how I’ve missed her stories!

Jacob Lantz Has been in love with Trini Sutter since he was five years old. Impossible you say, but very true. Jacob and his brothers have moved back to Arthur, Illinois, after inheriting their aunts house. Living next door is Trini, his longtime love.

Following the adventures these two have because Trini has plans of her own, shows how sometimes one has to travel a path of their own before they come back to the path God has chosen for them.

Not only is the storyline very interesting, the characters are very realistic and believable. This book is filled with emotions.

Thank you, Lisa Jones Baker and Barbour Publishing for allowing me to read an ARC of this wonderful 5-star book. All opinions expressed are my own and I was not required to give a positive review.
